From porcupine mullet to goddess. I loved the video! I didn't know about the knot method. It's really cool if you want to avoid glue. Thanks for sharing! Love your channel
Nailed it! I've used both reroot methods and came to the same conclusion as you. I like the knot technique because it anchors the hair. The colour blend is very nice on Farrah! I'm sure she would appreciate it!
I get it with the hand thing, when I make my videos, I try to make my hands look pretty, and your hands are find, you're very talented and that what we love watching. Great job on her hair, she's beautiful!
Outstanding!! I LOVED Charlie’s Angels as a little girl. My cousin and I used to get inside our parents cars and pretend that we were Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith driving to catch a bad guy. The only Farrah item that I had as a kid was the Farrah styling head which is long gone. 😢 I was never wild about the Farrah Mego doll. I just didn’t think that she was that pretty. I guess I liked her face but not crazy about the hair. Until now! Yours is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! You are very talented!
She looks so much better it's un real. The mullet from the original was funny, but I do love that the reroot looks so perfect and like the real Farrah.
Aw, thank you! If I had been able to salvage her original mullet, I definitely would have, but it's actually a happy accident she needed a re-root ha ha :)
I have this Mego Farrah Fawcett doll and her original hair is nylon fiber. I bought mine 2 years ago and I bought her new and never removed from the box on Poshmark the buying and selling website. I only paid $45.00 for her new in box since her box was in fair condition and she had the usual shoulder and hip joints melting issues but the melting was not too bad. All of her joints move freely although they were a little stiff but her head and hair was in beautiful new mint condition. It's sad that these Mego Farrah doll's suffer from the melting plastic torso joints but some of them are still good enough for display purposes and posing them. The doll's box says that her hair is fully washable and to blow dry on cool setting. However I would recommend that her hair be washed in cold or lukewarm water and just let it air dry. Your Farrah doll's hair turned out amazingly beautiful with her re-rooting and looks even better than the hair that Mego originally gave her. What is the green discoloration mark on her left arm since many of these doll's have this green discoloration on the arms and ankles?
Thanks for the info! I thought it was some kind of nylon, but it was so weird that it shrank up like that. I'm not entirely sure about the green marks...maybe from wires or something inside the bodies? That's why I usually see green on dolls.
@AThousandSplendidDolls Thanks, Yeah there is probably wires inside her arms and legs that is deteriorating that is causing the green marks but their knees usually still bend and click very well although the elbows only bend very little if at all.
I find great deals on Mercari. I found a Diana for under $20- no flaws but no clothes. I've found a few Chers on there, there are almost always Chers on Mercari.
Mercari added a bunch of new fees last year, so I haven't bothered to even check for stuff there anymore :( It used to be such a great place for deals too.
When i was little i watched videos on how to fix your dolls hair and of course boil washes came up,However i was only 12 and i literally had no idea about doll hair types or anything like that and it just so happened my doll had the same hair type as your doll in the video so when i boiled washed her ,her litteraly became horrible and i thought i had to boil wash her again to fix it up i was only 12😂😂 and after about 3 boil washes my dolls hair became the same as your doll in the video and eventually when i was 16 i actually rerooted her because she was very special to me and yeah shes fine and rerooted now.

Thank you so much :) The knot method is great--the tension holds it all in place and no glue!
Nailed it! I've used both reroot methods and came to the same conclusion as you. I like the knot technique because it anchors the hair. The colour blend is very nice on Farrah! I'm sure she would appreciate it!
Thank you so much :) It's really nice too because you don't need any glue!

Thank you! I don't even bother trying to make mine look pretty ha ha...kind of impossible when I use them for work everyday :)

It's so cute that you and your cousin used to play Charlie's Angels! Thank you so much :)
I actually had a really similar experience with boil washing a 70s crissy doll! Great vid!
Thanks! Sorry to hear about your Crissy doll :(
She looks so much better it's un real. The mullet from the original was funny, but I do love that the reroot looks so perfect and like the real Farrah.

She looks wonderful !! I want to try your method on my Cher doll, her hair is all frizz...I really enjoy your videos, Thank you
Thank you!
You root the exact way I do double knot method so secure and washing it I do too❤
It's awesome that you do it the same way :) Washing it makes such a difference afterwards!
Farrah was known for her beautiful hair 🦋💐
She had gorgeous hair!

My Farrah's limbs all still bend well, even the elbows, despite the green marks :)
I actually love her hair she looks like the girl off of Baywatch.😊
Baywatch Pamela Anderson
Thanks! She does look like Pamela Anderson!
I love farrah. I also have Cher. I'd LOVE Diana Ross but she's soooo expensive and I never see her ❤❤❤❤❤
I would love to find Cher someday--I saw her once at a thrift store, but she was missing her hands and was $12 :(
I find great deals on Mercari. I found a Diana for under $20- no flaws but no clothes. I've found a few Chers on there, there are almost always Chers on Mercari.

@@AThousandSplendidDolls I have a headless farrah... I need to find her a body lol
Hope you can find her a body! Sometimes you can find them on eBay for a good price.
❤❤❤
I was wondering if you heard maplalea doll,I think you might like sila.
I actually have heard of them before--super beautiful dolls for sure!
I saw the pictures of her on Flickr a couple days ago and Im so happy you made a video about her she looks amazing 🩷
Aw, thank you! I had been planning on doing this video since I realized she'd need a rer-oot :)
About the hands... I just get more worried about the injuries than the aesthetic effect:)
Half the time I don't even know where the injuries come from ha ha!

I'm so sorry that happened to your doll, but I'm so glad you were able to re-root her when you were older :)
@@AThousandSplendidDollsthanks! Farrah turned out amazing by the way!
Thanks! I was nervous about how she'd look with new hair :)
You give off the vibe you love Avril Lavigne. I’m obsessed with Avril Lavigne. What about you?
I used to listen to her when I was in my teens/early 20s :)
