Phil's actor Ty Burrell got his masters degree in acting in 1997 at age 29 and played some minor theatre stuff. He just really started acting at age 33 in one episode of "Law & Order" and had only a couple of other minor roles before he landed Modern Family at age 42. That makes his acting skills even greater in perspective since he started out so late and had no giant roles to gain that much experience.
Julie Bowen is the Queen of physical comedy. The pratt falls and slips and silly dances are amazing but some of the greatest comedy in this show is when Phil says something stupid and makes you laugh then she just gives him a glance and just with her eyes elivates the joke ten fold.
Also, I love your anecdotes about your family!! Just adds a whole new layer to the reaction knowing that you are a father and I don't have kids yet so I appreciate hearing your perspective
Fun fact - all 6 of the main adult actors (Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson & Eric Stonestreet) were all nominated but only in the Supporting Actor/Actress categories, no one ever was submitted as Lead Actor/Actress, which I love. Three of them won an Emmy - Ty won 1 while Julie & Eric each won 2. The show also won 5 Emmys as Outstanding Comedy Series.
I always say “so and so is my favorite” then someone else ends up taking my favorite spot lol. Btw, you will end up crying a lot and realize Jay is a great dad who definitely tries his best.
I think I’m talking for all of us here, this NEEDS to happen at least 3 times a week!! Please. 😇 Love u vids! (It’s 250 off theme, so you kinda have to) Love from Sweden
I always get so excited when you upload Modern Family reactions! The emotions always sneak up on me with this show, it kinda only gets worse (in the best way) in my opinion! My favorite character is Gloria, she is so nuanced but I also really love Claire who I think can be overlooked and oversimplified by viewers sometimes. I'm excited for the rest of your MoFy journey!
Phil has to be my favourite. I feel like he starts off very nonchalant about anything to do with the kids or the home, when really he just picks his battle, he is the fun dad, for the most part, but he is very involved in the kids' lives you'll see as the show goes on. Phil's character development is my favourite. He really healed a lot of daddy issues for me and some friends.
Phil, Cam amd Gloria are top 3 but they are all such vital parts of the show and bring something unique to the storyline. Love seeing your reactions ☺️ and yes, please do Fleabag!! 🙏❤️
While some scoff at the wild things the family does to one another, I cry during this show often, mostly bc I cannot imagine a family being flawed AND redeemable
Not too many people react to modern family because of copywrite laws, I appreciate you trying because I absolute love this show! (I do editing as a side gig, It can be a struggle because YT has no consistency and the algorithm seems to change with the wind in terms of what they allow) A lot of the time it has to do with how strict the production companies are. Modern family was made on FOX, who is owned by Disney. And Disney is a nightmare when it comes to copywrite.
Love your reactions! As a former lifeguard and swim teacher for 7 years... I also had a period where I hated swimming classes! It's such a vital skill though - take a year or 2 break from lessons, and embrace the types of swimming she does like (like family fun swims at the rec centre) then see if she will try again :) you seem like a lovely father! If she likes gymnastics she might also like synchronized swimming
I love this series so much, it feels like i get to rewatch this series for the first time with you and it is a nice break from the chaos going on right now🤍💜
I HIGHLY recommend watching «Derry Girls». The episodes are very short, the funniest show that I have ever seen. It’s very easy to edit and the episodes are very short. And it’s one of those shows that, in my opinion, are important.
Everyone has a special place in my heart but overall I just love Jay and his growth as a parent. I think Gloria is so good for him and balances him. it’s the same with Phil and Cam they balance their spouses.
I can tell youre a great father and im jelly (jealous) my father still thinks that his role is to economically support the family and thats it. he met me at 7 and he visited like every 2 years, a few years later i found out he lived 5 mins away. it was devastating. dont be that guy, be like Jay, be like Phil, just be yourself, spend time with your gremlins, theyll be taller and stronger than you in the blink of an eye and believe me, therapy is mighty expensive. dont talk black to me
If my daughter loved being in the water, I don't think I'd unenroll her from the classes that teach her safety and competence in the water, no matter how much she hated them. In fact, I would insist on aquatic self-rescue lessons as a prerequisite to taking my kids to a body of water. Sure, a lot of kids cry through the 10 minute lesson, but it's better than drowning, less traumatic than a near drowning experience, and there are no "my kid did aquatic self-rescue lessons and now she's in therapy for a fear of water" stories out there. The dominant narrative, even with typical swim lessons, is "my child loves the water now that she knows how to swim, even though she hated the lessons at first". Interest is nice, but competence and safety are necessary.
I rewatched this show so many times I can't even count, I still cried at some of the moments.

Fun fact: The segments with the characters speaking directly to the camera are called "talking heads"
and yet I shall always think of them as confessionals 😂

YES FLEABAG!!!!! I'll be waiting. In the meantime, I enjoy re-watching Modern Family with you 😄
Don't worry, I too cried a lot when watching "Modern Family". 😂😭😅

Not only is Nolan (Luke's actor) a member of Mensa, he has a IQ of 150! The average world IQ is 106.48.
I love this!

Ah I love that, Phil is such a great character but then I think they are all amazing!
Absolutely loving the reactions to Modern Family and hope you keep them coming. 👍👍👍👍
Thank you! Another one coming hopefully Sunday 🥰
i think my favorite character is Pepper . he is used sparingly but every time he shows up he makes the episode better
The characters all just keep getting even better as it goes, especially Jay.
I can already see that, it’s so good!
I never cry but I always nearly cry at the end of the episodes lol, the ending is always super deep and wholesome
My favorite character always changes cause they’re all so amazing ♥️👏
Fleabag will make you laugh and cry SO much. Amazing show
