Please replace the old open/save dialog box as it takes so long to open/save a file if one has a lot of drives and directories.
"Starting with Windows Vista, the Common Item Dialog supersedes the older Common File Dialog when used to open or save a file. The Common Item Dialog is used in two variations: the Open dialog and the Save dialog. These two dialogs share most of their functionality, but each has its own unique methods.
While this newer version is named the Common Item Dialog, it continues to be called the Common File Dialog in most documentation. Unless you are dealing specifically with an older version of Windows, you should assume that any mention of the Common File Dialog refers to this Common Item Dialog."

There are some fundamental parts that should be improved first and foremost. Why cant I just rename files directly in the model browser?
Also.. there should be a simple "1 click" (or at least very few clicks) copy function of an assembly with parts into a new one exactly the same but with all parts renamed according to a specified formula. For example replace "01" in all model names with "02"... or whatever. That shouldnt require more than 1 click + the renaming equation stuff + "ok".
Imagine the amount of time spent by everyone doing this rediculous process manually over and over......
There is a copy function now where you can add a suffix of prefix.. but not the one you would want.. namely "replace x with y". So you have to sit and manually replace a number on all parts. Its r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s. Even Wordpad in windows has a find-replace text function.....
Why is that missing in Inventor making a completely fundamental function useless for absolutely no reason??

This is all good, of course, but the tool is not improving in such areas as surface modeling, freeform and generative design - these are key areas for a modern engineering approach to product development. The sheet parts were tightened to a normal level, but the rest of the improvements were not provided. With this approach, this product will not be in demand, as well as the Fusion 360. Serious companies will not buy a cloud product. And the average user needs to work not only with sheet metal parts. The development has reached a dead end somewhere...

The whole thing has underlying issues and is pretty much broken, vault included. There is no workflow that works, model states are unreliable, BOM is an afterthought, you can't select things by material, drawings are in an alpha state - you can't have two parts lists from the same source (wtf). And my personal favorites - Inventor doesn't do area (w t f). You can't access 3d annotations from iLogic. You can't get BOM from iLogic unless you recreate a cad program in iLogic. This all goes on and on

Still no direct module/extension for generative design in inventor...

We want to apply real theread tooth cutting in our drawings. An update is necessary for this because the current therad command in Autodesk Invertor is very absurd. A command operation should be brought for this subject.

The most needed command for us users is the thread command, just like in SolidWorks.
