This Killing Voice performance is supposed to showcase EXO's outstanding vocals, so what you are hearing is a compilation of some of the best parts of their songs that highlight their vocal abilities. They debuted in 2012, so they have a lot of songs. You are only hearing a small fraction of them and only a few lines of each of the songs (And in some cases, they are singing lines from the middle of the song, so it may sound different when you listen to the actual song. And in this performance they are missing two members, so some of their parts in these songs were different than the original versions because they had to cover for the members who were unable to participate in this program.) The song's called "Monster," so the words are about acting like a monster: "Don't be afraid, love is the way ... I'm sorry, you make me sooo craaaazzzy, you know you dooooo." The song is about how they know they are bad for the person that they are in a relationship with, and they will most likely ruin them if that person stays with them. In the song, they are talking about how, I know that when we are over that I will have destroyed everything that is good about you, but I don't care because I want you so much that it doesn't matter to me. Therefore, it's good that "you can call me monster" because they are being straight forward and warning you from the very beginning, so you can't say you were blindsided by their actions. "The First Snow" is a B-side song on one of their winter albums (They have more than one winter/holiday album). The song is about the magic of the first snowfall of the season and how it's the perfect atmosphere to fall in love. This song is so popular that you can hear it being played all over the place in Korea on the first day it snows, and it's pretty much considered a winter anthem that gets played nonstop all season long, especially around the holidays. The "Don't Go" lyrics compare their love (i.e. EXO-Ls) to a butterfly and the hand movement you saw is supposed to be a butterfly, which is part of the choreography for the song. You should check out one of their live concert performances to see what I mean.
EXO's "Power" was also used as one of the theme songs, along with their song "Growl," during the 2018 winter Olympics. EXO even performed both songs during the closing ceremony. As "the nation's boy group," EXO was the only Kpop group to be selected to perform at the Olympics. If you like the sound of "Power" in this video, just wait until you see their live concert performance of the remixed version of the song. You should check out their "Diamond" + "Coming Over" + "Run This" + "Drop That" + "Power" set at their EXOPLANET #4 The ElyXiOn in Seoul in 2017. ("Power" also has an MV.) I was never into kpop despite my friends being multistans for some years… I had the misconception that it was more about visuals and dance, and I didn’t really find any artists that had outstanding vocals and songs that really moved me… during Covid lockdown I watched a ton of k dramas and started adding OSTs into my playlists, not caring which artist I was listening to, just vibing… Then one day while cleaning with spotify on shuffle, I literally had to stop and check what song was playing because it was so fckng fire! It was Obsession by EXO 😂 That same day I spent the whole evening going into the endless rabbithole that is Exo… they have over 460 songs girl 😂 and so many concert stages 😂 to this day they hold guiness rexord for fastest sold out tickets because theyre just that good live… Killing Voice is just a small sample of what they can do, your mind will be blown watching their live concert stages. Most kpop fans know them as Vocal Kings, but for me they are also VISUAL KINGS and also oddly underrated as Dancing Kings, given the fact that they have some of the best dancers in the industry and their coordination as a group is crazy. omg! I am an Exol and my 2nd most favourite group is SKZ. SKZ has also covered "growl", "overdose" on MAMA 2018 and later they covered "call me baby" in one of their fanmeting. Seungmin has also covered one of our main vocalist, Baekhyun's song "love again". Hyunjin and Felix covered "the eve'" last year in "pilot" fanmeeting. Seungmin and I.N covered D.O's (also one of the main vocalists) "that's okay" last year on sbs gayo daejun. And all this cover was so amazing.

New to your channel & I loved your reaction! EXO is the group that got me into kpop about 2 years ago (after being a bit anti lol) - I was instantly a fan after hearing Monster for the first time. They are still & will always be my ult group. They aren't dubbed "The Vocal Kings" for nothing! From your reaction I highly recommend checking out the MVs for Monster, Cream Soda, Miracles in December. PS - if you haven't already seen it, Ateez's Killing Voice is also really good.
They are all in their 30s, all but the last two younger members KAI and SEHUN have completed their military service. KAI couldn’t be present as he enlisted prior to this filming killing voice and SEHUN (the far right) are in the military and one another member named #LAY is in CHINA because of the childish political conflicts between the countries’ governments etc. Ever since his solo debut in Oct 2016 he’s been kept from EXO over the years while he continued separately promoting both EXO and his solo projects so on and so far. He’s still part of the group continuing to prove it along with the members even with his minimal participation as he runs his own agency in CHINA out of the studio that SM provided him when he was their for his solo promotions. During EXO 10th anniversary he did make public announcement of departure from SM but DID NOT depart from EXO and has a semi-relationship with SM still.

Kai is currently in the military along with the maknae Sehun. EXO are THE VOCAL KINGS of Kpop, not even half of their vocal talents were shown in this performance. They've been releasing music since 2011 with two pre debuts that year and officially debuted in 2012, originally 12 members, 8 Korean members and 4 Chinese members. Most of their songs at the time had two or more versions with different languages of a song. All members are actors, VERY successful actors, and all have solo songs or solo careers, again, VERY SUCCESSFUL. Member Baekhyun actually has set many million selling records alone, and the group together is even crazier. They have a world record of fastest selling concert in 0.2 seconds. 10:30 MAMA was their debut song / MV which has somewhat of a lengthy intro opening about their group backstory of their being ALIENS with SUPERPOWERS who are from EXOplanet. #EXO originally debuted as a 12-member group under SM in 2012 (a year before BTS) but between 2014-2016 three chinese members kRiS, #LuHan and #TAO decided it was better to left the company and group because how unfair mistreatment they were going thru by SM facility (not the members). LAY was the only Chinese member that stayed and pushed thru it.
I'm an EXO-L and then after I was introduced to Straykids in 2019 I slowly became STAY. I still have a lot to learn about straykids but I know and can Identify all members, I watched the show how they debuted and I listen to their albums regularly. I even can distinguish each member's voices on a song. Both groups are great but they have some differences too. EXO sings more pop~R&B songs and has 3 MAIN vocalists and even their lead vocalists can be easily a main vocalist in ANY other group. Fans tend to think that about all their favorite groups, that all members can do all positions but let's be honest. They can't. EXO's vocalists are way better than most groups (including my boys, Straykids) but again, Rappers of Straykids are better than EXO rappers. So they are different and both great. EXO's songs are not FOCUSED on rap. They do have all kinds of music though but some types are less frequent. The level of involvement in producing and writing the lyrics is not same as Straykids (honestly NO group is like Straykids in this topic) and EXO lyrics are almost always romantic and not about them being GOATs and diss haters and such lyrics that are frequnet nowadays in kpop. So be aware.
Sadly you are missing two sexy, beautiful voices here. Kai was serving his military service and Lay was in China. The song is about the magic of the first snowfall of the season and how it's the perfect atmosphere to fall in love. This song is so popular that you can hear it being played all over the place in Korea on the first day it snows, and it's pretty much considered a winter anthem that gets played nonstop all season long, especially around the holidays.
The "Don't Go" lyrics compare their love (i.e. EXO-Ls) to a butterfly and the hand movement you saw is supposed to be a butterfly, which is part of the choreography for the song. You should check out one of their live concert performances to see what I mean.
EXO's "Power" was also used as one of the theme songs, along with their song "Growl," during the 2018 winter Olympics. EXO even performed both songs during the closing ceremony. As "the nation's boy group," EXO was the only Kpop group to be selected to perform at the Olympics. If you like the sound of "Power" in this video, just wait until you see their live concert performance of the remixed version of the song. You should check out their "Diamond" + "Coming Over" + "Run This" + "Drop That" + "Power" set at their EXOPLANET #4 The ElyXiOn in Seoul in 2017. ("Power" also has an MV.)
"Cream Soda" is their most recent song at the time, and the whole reason why they were on Dingo's Killing Voice was to promote this song and album, which is why the performed the whole song.

I was never into kpop despite my friends being multistans for some years… I had the misconception that it was more about visuals and dance, and I didn’t really find any artists that had outstanding vocals and songs that really moved me… during Covid lockdown I watched a ton of k dramas and started adding OSTs into my playlists, not caring which artist I was listening to, just vibing… Then one day while cleaning with spotify on shuffle, I literally had to stop and check what song was playing because it was so fckng fire! It was Obsession by EXO 😂 That same day I spent the whole evening going into the endless rabbithole that is Exo… they have over 460 songs girl 😂 and so many concert stages 😂 to this day they hold guiness rexord for fastest sold out tickets because theyre just that good live… Killing Voice is just a small sample of what they can do, your mind will be blown watching their live concert stages. Most kpop fans know them as Vocal Kings, but for me they are also VISUAL KINGS and also oddly underrated as Dancing Kings, given the fact that they have some of the best dancers in the industry and their coordination as a group is crazy. omg! I am an Exol and my 2nd most favourite group is SKZ. SKZ has also covered "growl", "overdose" on MAMA 2018 and later they covered "call me baby" in one of their fanmeting. Seungmin has also covered one of our main vocalist, Baekhyun's song "love again". Hyunjin and Felix covered "the eve'" last year in "pilot" fanmeeting. Seungmin and I.N covered D.O's (also one of the main vocalists) "that's okay" last year on sbs gayo daejun. And all this cover was so amazing.

New to your channel & I loved your reaction! EXO is the group that got me into kpop about 2 years ago (after being a bit anti lol) - I was instantly a fan after hearing Monster for the first time. They are still & will always be my ult group. They aren't dubbed "The Vocal Kings" for nothing! From your reaction I highly recommend checking out the MVs for Monster, Cream Soda, Miracles in December.

They are all in their 30s, all but the last two younger members KAI and SEHUN have completed their military service. KAI couldn’t be present as he enlisted prior to this filming killing voice and SEHUN (the far right) are in the military and one another member named #LAY is in CHINA because of the childish political conflicts between the countries’ governments etc. Ever since his solo debut in Oct 2016 he’s been kept from EXO over the years while he continued separately promoting both EXO and his solo projects so on and so far. He’s still part of the group continuing to prove it along with the members even with his minimal participation as he runs his own agency in CHINA out of the studio that SM provided him when he was their for his solo promotions. During EXO 10th anniversary he did make public announcement of departure from SM but DID NOT depart from EXO and has a semi-relationship with SM still.

EXO consists of 9 members, there's only 7 present in the Killing Voice for different reasons but I'll give you the names of the ones present from left to right. Chanyeol(this guy is all the positions, he's so freaking talented and adorable, main rapper, lead vocal), D.O/Kyungsoo(main vocal) Suho(leader, main/lead vocal, my hot husband), Chen(main vocal), Xiumin(oldest, lead vocal), Baekhyun(main vocal), and Sehun (maknae, main rapper, my other hot husband).
The two members not present are hot daddy Kai, and the other Lay. Kai is the main dancer, ONE OF THE if not the best dancer in Kpop, along with Lay who together make an unstoppable team. They're both lead vocalists and sub rappers as well.
Lay is in China, inactive in EXO since 2016-17 I believed because of the political tensions between China and SK.
Kai is currently in the military along with the maknae Sehun.
EXO are THE VOCAL KINGS of Kpop, not even half of their vocal talents were shown in this performance. They've been releasing music since 2011 with two pre debuts that year and officially debuted in 2012, originally 12 members, 8 Korean members and 4 Chinese members. Most of their songs at the time had two or more versions with different languages of a song.
All members are actors, VERY successful actors, and all have solo songs or solo careers, again, VERY SUCCESSFUL.
Member Baekhyun actually has set many million selling records alone, and the group together is even crazier. They have a world record of fastest selling concert in 0.2 seconds.

10:30 MAMA was their debut song / MV which has somewhat of a lengthy intro opening about their group backstory of their being ALIENS with SUPERPOWERS who are from EXOplanet. #EXO originally debuted as a 12-member group under SM in 2012 (a year before BTS) but between 2014-2016 three chinese members kRiS, #LuHan and #TAO decided it was better to left the company and group because how unfair mistreatment they were going thru by SM facility (not the members). LAY was the only Chinese member that stayed and pushed thru it.

I'm an EXO-L and then after I was introduced to Straykids in 2019 I slowly became STAY. I still have a lot to learn about straykids but I know and can Identify all members, I watched the show how they debuted and I listen to their albums regularly. I even can distinguish each member's voices on a song.
Both groups are great but they have some differences too. EXO sings more pop~R&B songs and has 3 MAIN vocalists and even their lead vocalists can be easily a main vocalist in ANY other group.
Fans tend to think that about all their favorite groups, that all members can do all positions but let's be honest. They can't. EXO's vocalists are way better than most groups (including my boys, Straykids) but again, Rappers of Straykids are better than EXO rappers. So they are different and both great.
EXO's songs are not FOCUSED on rap. They do have all kinds of music though but some types are less frequent. The level of involvement in producing and writing the lyrics is not same as Straykids (honestly NO group is like Straykids in this topic) and EXO lyrics are almost always romantic and not about them being GOATs and diss haters and such lyrics that are frequnet nowadays in kpop. So be aware.
You can tell they have a hard time not dancing to their songs. Welcome to the Vocal Kings of Kpop. Even the rappers can sing beautifully.
