SALV IDA - Using Conditions, Ranges - Select Columns [english]

In today's video I will show you how you can use a SALV table with IDA in SAP. The abbreviation IDA stands for (Integrated DATA Access).
That means everything takes place in the database, such as aggregation, filtering, grouping etc... This reduces the load on the application layer.

Hi Sir,
I created a CDS view, which is passed to ALV IDA, and it displays more than 30 lakh records. However, when we try to download to Excel, the ALV screen states that the function is not possible for more than 21,170,000 cells. Is there a way to download all the records? Please suggest."

That is really a huge amount of data 🙄 I'm not sure if alv grid and excel export is the right tool to maintain this data. You can split the data in sap and merge it later with Excel. But I'm not sure if it works with this much of data 🤔

Hello your tutorial is very helpful, thanks for that! But I have a strange issue when I try to export our report to xslx format the column appears as double up. I mean when i have 10 columns in my raport shown in ALV after export and open in excel the columns counts to 20 (only the columns not rows). Did anyone faced issue like this?

Strange, this behavior is new to me. Habe you tried it with a SAP standard table like SFLIGHT. ? 🤗
