I'm not sure that the analogy is correct when comparing an elderly giving all her money to an unfilial son, with scam victims transferring all their money to scammers. Scam victims are inherently victims of fraud to a higher degree (e.g. believing that the scammer is a legit police officer, or that "dashing tony" is real) and should be protected especially by actors and institutions who know better. As for transferring money to an unfilial son, it's an informed choice done out of selfless love for the son, and there is also legal recourse if the son is found to have committed fraud against (aka scammed) his own parent to obtain the money.
She got scam? A need and a want is not the same. Know what is scam doesn't make you scam proof. Getting scammed never crossed her mind😂? This is different from making decisions based on how you feel 😂. There are just people who don't want to or have no intention to help themselves but when the outcome turns out not what they expect. They will play victim and blame everyone else but themselves. Now we need laws to protect these "vulnerable".
Why does Singapore like the uk believe giving more powers to the police will result in safety? Education not powers will solve this problem amd maybe sanctioning india for its inaction would be more fruitful
Can we get someone else to replace Crispina? She have this habit of interrupting the guest speakers with her thrash comments when they're giving useful insights.

Except, they could have already transferred before making a police report.
Desperation and Greed are two easy targets for scams!!

Police should be liable for damages in the event it makes a wrong assessment.
