    I'm really surprised none of the outdoorsmen that review this knife know what the notching saw is for .
    Most everyone who reviewed a TOPS blade with this saw basically says its mall ninja shit thats there mostly for show .
    Its a survival knive guys . That saw is to notch for shelter or perhaps a deadfall for catching food . Its not supposed to cut down a tree . Its a wide stager design to make wide notches for blunt deadfall sticks or for rudimentary shelter connections .

    • @Kevin_drinks_Lead
      @Kevin_drinks_Lead 4 года назад +1

      Right, but it's pretty easy doing that with the edge

    • @somedude1590
      @somedude1590 4 года назад +3

      @@Kevin_drinks_Lead I have the TOPS Survtac 7 with the same saw and its easier to notch clean notches with that saw than it is with the blade for sure. Makes nice squared off notches

    My mom got me one for Christmas... though I haven't had a chance to try it out yet (I've only had it less than a day) I can tell this thing is a beast of a knife. it has good heft, but not so much as to make it unwieldy. Nice and sharp straight from the package. The blade shape gives it both knife and ax characteristics. I'm already in love with this knife...... The only thing that I don't like is the indentation between the blade and guard, to me this is just an area to get caught up on.
