That was wonderful! I had a non musical friend ask me why musicians dance along to their music. "I don't know, I don't do that myself." I said. He replied "yes you do". I guess it's a subconscious thing. 😊

One of the most difficult pieces I have ever had the displeasure to play. I love the tune and your interpretation of it, but alas I will never master it on accordion.
You have a very modest pianist. I was expecting a couple of 7-octaves arpeggios. Oh wait, that was Victor Borge's interpretation. No seriously: lovely sprightly performance.
The sheet music is directly from my book ‘My Favourite Melodies’ aimed at intermediate players- so the aim was to make a fun and effective arrangement, without needing fourteen fingers!
I actually got laughed at when I said I play the recorder and I was like “no, guys, it’s not hot crossed buns, there are wooden ones that sound nice, mine is made of grape wood and cost $100.” They laughed harder because I spent $100 on a “little recorder.” Gosh, I wish you released this video a few months ago. I will say I regret buying it because I like alto ones better than soprano, but I’m looking for a $200 recorder now made from a harder wood.
When I saw the title of the song I thought could that be the same song that knew as a selection on a LP by Chet Atkins called ‘Relaxin’ with Chet’ and was very surprised that is was.
This sounds so beautiful. I dont believe I'll ever be proficient enough to play it but Ive bought your book to support you and maybe i could play it 100x slower 😂
It arrived this morning, thankyou for including Dear Irish Boy, something nice and simple for us less able folk 😊 maybe I'll manage a couple more in time Doen Daphne looks achievable but the rhythm is complicated for me luckily you have these wonderful videos to follow so reading the rhythm isnt so important as learning the tune by ear and just practicing finger movement. We'll get there, thats my next goal now 😊
And I know it's aimed at intermediate players so I'm pleasantly surprised and reccomend everyone to get it whatever standard they are as it gives something to work at and supports the best recorder RUclipsr 😊
Oh, you can! I did a nerdy tutorial video on it- but in this video I do diaphragm vibrato (with my breath), and also soem finger vibrato over the holes.
You need to get a recording with a larger ensemble; your accompanist was great, but the piano texture wasn't quite rich enough to support the recorder here to my ears.

I had no idea a flute could replace a violin in a csardas. I grew up listening to them and enjoyed your playing. I'm half Hungarian.

Ooh yes! The ‘Dear Irish Boy’, or the Clara Schumann, or the Sicilienne. But the range will go too low- feel free to play them with tenor fingerings!
