Thanks for another great video. I just pulled the 3TN75RJ in my '86 855 and your videos are very helpful and provide excellent references. Nice work.

Awesome job, and that is funny you had an 855 Hoodie on. That is something like I would do

Thank you John! I designed this hoodie myself and some of the other ones I wear. It's always great to be in tune with your equipment. Enjoy your weekend -Andreas

Thank you so much Michael! It's been a great learning curve to rebuild a Yanmar diesel engine and I'm glad I could share this content with fellow enthusiasts. I'm almost done with the JD 855 now...but I will still share more videos about the attachments I have. Thanks for tuning in. -Andreas

That's not a problem, I found value within your Grasshopper video because your video is clear and your audio is fantastic! It doesn't always have to be visually appealing. You're doing great!! Thank you so much, I appreciate it. Enjoy your weekend too

I rebuilt the same unit on my f935. Although mine is a 5 port. Now I'm getting a strong stream out of the gap between the column plate and the 1st plate that separates. I used the factory kit. Any idea what went wrong??

If you have power steering despite a leak, then you know everything is assembled correctly. The only issue you have now is a sealing issue. This could be caused by an o-ring that is not seated properly or an o-ring that doesn't have enough squeeze between both plates. Even if one plate has a slight bend to it, it could cause an uneven sealing surface.
Maybe you need to take it apart once more, just to verify the surfaces. If o-rings are new, it shouldn't be a big deal to take the assembly apart and reuse them again. Let me know what you find. Regards Andreas

So I have aan 855 diesel from 1989. The left handle which I use to engage the mid mounted mower works and then doesn't. It looks like a magnet that is suppose to stick together and it seems to let go and does not engage the blades. WOuld you know if there is a simply fix or shouls I just order the parts?

I know what you mean. I had an issue with that too on my JD 855 and I just put two zip ties on the magnet to connect them.
The magnet must've lost power over the years and they did not connect anymore. The PTO lever is still mechanically activated, so I didn't see this as a bad solution.
If the PTO were to turn on electronically, by the touch of the magnets, I would have replaced them, but in this case they do not.
It's up to you if you want to replace the magnets, or just put a zip-tie on them in the meantime as a temporary fix. I also had an issue with my seat switch which was completely corroded, and that also ties into the PTO activation. Before replacing the magnet, be sure it's really just the magnet and not possibly the seat switch as well.
      Regards Andreas

It’s hard to say exactly how to position your fuel pump, but your initial spray must correspond with cylinder. #1. (Closest to flywheel).
The spray must be ~15 degrees before TDC on the compression stroke.
      I hope this helps👍🏽

Hi, where did you find a service manual that is so detailed?

Hi there, I found it online and lucky enough for free! All links are usually in the video decription, but here is the link to engine service manual (most Yanmar 3TN models) golftechs.us/Manuals/JD220dieselengine.pdf and here is a link to the JD 855 service manual www.golftechs.us/Manuals/JDtractors.pdf . I hope this helps you out! Regards Andreas
