We are down to one now.. There was talk of getting rid of it in 2022, but we might hang on for a bit since its payload is way more efficient than sending a bunch of ATRs.
Good ole Thunderjet....the 737-200! Braniff 2 737-200s did not have the FMS system. Old style. That was back 1988-89. I also served as an FE on B727. So, transition into the -200 was very similar. However.....I am guessing there was a GSP computer for the FMS??????
😂 one of the airplanes had a plaque that that said "Pope John Paul II flew on this plane in 1986" and it was removed because passengers got nervous after seeing that. (But it doesn't fly anymore.)

I really like your video, I ring the bell and wish you good luck every time you fly 👍
excellent video, loved the captain explaining the guages. LOVE the 737-200. such a gorgeous plane
I could not say that any better....
absolutely love that old cockpit
Fully agree👍
The 737-200 is a true classic. Thrilled to watch this video!
That landing was butter. But yeah -- damn good thing that wind wasn't anywhere but right down the runway.
Great stuff! Nothing beats a 737-200 aka Fat Albert!
Thank you and totally agree, love that plane
It's amazing that they are still running those old flying machines
Yes totally and hope they continue!
Gravel kit. 737-200s are the last that can be fitted with a gravel kit, so there are loads of them still flying in Canada's north.
@@knarf_on_a_bike That is amazing function , so they could land on unpaved runways.

Great video.Nice to see the 737-200 still flying!
Yes totally. Hope they stay around for a good while. Awesome plane!
Nice soft landing with the touchdown at the aiming point on the runway!
👍
I will be a Pilot
No we all be pilots
You're already one. Next time you hear "hey you, PILE IT over there" you're now a pilot
Holy crap! I just flew meds up to Rankin Inlet tonight on Canadian North! Arrived about an hour ago. Then I see this video. So cool!
Oh nice! Was it as windy as on the video

That's so wild that they have to fly in "True" because they're THAT far north....
Yes, there's a section where they switch and explain how they check with a gyro etc... very interesting
It's amazing

Greased it.
Those engines are so tiny 😆
I looked it up and see this aircraft took its first flight in 1980.
