That landing was butter. But yeah -- damn good thing that wind wasn't anywhere but right down the runway.

Gravel kit. 737-200s are the last that can be fitted with a gravel kit, so there are loads of them still flying in Canada's north.

@@knarf_on_a_bike That is amazing function , so they could land on unpaved runways.

We are down to one now.. There was talk of getting rid of it in 2022, but we might hang on for a bit since its payload is way more efficient than sending a bunch of ATRs.

Good ole Thunderjet....the 737-200! Braniff 2 737-200s did not have the FMS system. Old style. That was back 1988-89. I also served as an FE on B727. So, transition into the -200 was very similar. However.....I am guessing there was a GSP computer for the FMS??????

That's so wild that they have to fly in "True" because they're THAT far north....

Yes, there's a section where they switch and explain how they check with a gyro etc... very interesting

😂 one of the airplanes had a plaque that that said "Pope John Paul II flew on this plane in 1986" and it was removed because passengers got nervous after seeing that. (But it doesn't fly anymore.)
