Smart lighting and better road safety with Philips Multisensors

The intention of this project in Oulu is to improve road safety and facilitate the navigation of emergency vehicles in the city. The solution makes traffic lights turn green when emergency vehicles approach the intersection and also turns the street lights on full power. The technology behind is based on the HALI system, the lighting control system Interact by Signify, and Multisensors, which are installed on the street lights. When the emergency vehicle has passed the intersection, the lighting returns to the prior light level.
