    I am from India and frankly speaking, I'm a fan of yours sir... You are world class as far as the alternative rock sound is concerned.. I've heard many alternative bands but your guitar playing and specially ur musical application leaves them miles behind... You deserve more exposure to the musical industry.. I play bass and i would love to play with you someday sir.. Your compositions have always blown me away.. "Let Go", "Overcome" and "Another Place" are my personal favourites.. It's been a pleasure listening to Rob Spurling.. Hats off..!!

    Very musical!! Tired of people playing mindless crazy fast licks with no musical story to tell. You sir, take the listener on a journey with thoughtful placement of rhythm,timing, dynamics & melody. Well done👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍!!

    Hey Robert....
    I listened to this and was off my feet... I'm speechless..
    I'm a guitar player myself but seriously never listened to such rejuvenating compositions...
    Only one question.. How cud I get a guitar tone like that...
    God bless u...

      Thanks Nishant, here is a tip for the tone - an EQ peak around 500 Hz, and reduce highs and lows.

    I have a PRS SE like this one that i picked up at a bargain because it had a finish crack. It was a steal. A lot of purists don't like PRS whether it is the budget one or the Premium one . I see there point . . They can have some limitations but I still think they are state of the ART

    Man, this sounds terrific! Is it a C- or D-shaped neck? I want to start to record my guitar. Can you recommend an USB-Audio-Interface for beginners? What do you use to record? Do you mic your amps or do you use a software like Guitar Rig? Your songs don't seem to be on iTunes. Is there a website where I can buy this song and other songs like "Another Place" and "Let Go"?

    • @Robertspurling
      @Robertspurling  9 лет назад +1

      Thanks mate, it's a C shaped neck. I use an SPL Crimson, but I wouldn't recommend it because the volume control is biased to the left at low volumes (so annoying - I changed it for another one, and it had the same problem!). I use to use an M-audio Firewire Solo which was good. Honestly, I don't think an interface is going to affect your sound as much as people may make you believe. Just get a middle of the line one that has enough inputs and outputs for your needs.

      please explain what are these necks and the reasons behind their shapes.

    Hey Robert, the neck and thickness is similar to a LP Gibson? by the way nice music !

    • @Robertspurling

      +Roger Carvalho Hi Roger, I'd say it's between a 60s and 50s Gibson neck.

    Hey, Robert, huge fan of your melodies right here. I'm suggesting you contact Jared Dines and ask him about a ShredWars. I think he will not be against it since your music is great and he is a nice guy. If so, you will receive some serious boost for your channel as far as Jared has a huge audience. Your talent has to be heard. Try it, in any case, you will not lose anything.

    • @Robertspurling

      Thanks Mike, I'm sure Jared probably gets lots of requests to be in his videos!

    What kind of bridge saddle is that??? Does it stay in tune? How do u intonate?

    • @Robertspurling
      @Robertspurling  8 лет назад

      Hi mate, I don't have the guitar anymore but it was a wrap around type bridge, and you could intonate individual strings by moving the saddles, unlike the other fixed bridge versions on other PRS SE guitars.
