I just wish Vans would give all their shoes a Wide option. I really want half cabs but they are too narrow for my feet. I bought the Grosso mids and they never broke in enough even when I used those shoes stretchers contraptions. The only pair I have found so far is the Rowan’s and even those need a bit of stretching to fit right.
Since last December Vans has been sending all their shoes laced up from the factory, but I'm sure it's done by machines because all shoes are tightened to hell. Sk8 hi's and all hi top models are a pain to most people. While this saves us time on the floor, it's really counterproductive in terms of people's feet. I say this because I own two pairs, and the only way I could wear them extremely comfortable was by untying them and tying them back up. The pink ones are so god damn cool, it's incredible. All Sold in the first week. We only have size 6's and 13's 😂
vans wayvee feels broken in when you get it. but what do they mean by broken in? broken in not stiff or broken in can kickflip and treflip perfect from the get go, i havent found a single shoe that does that but lakai was pretty close.
"First womens signature shoe since the cara berth".... thats fugged up. I hope they sell well so we have more pro models from girls. I will be doing my part and picking up the black lizzies, i love lizzie and hitops 😎 Only thing i wish it had is the stripe in different color so it creates some contrast, the knee slide padding is good idea tho
@@turdchurner4012 they’re out there for sure but it seems like the most companies wanna do is give em a colorway. Beatrice Domond, Breana Geering, Samaria Brevard, Alexis Sablone, Nora Vasconcellos, etc.
I was at the vans store looking for a triple black mid / hi top. After trying the sk8 his, crocketts and the Lizzie’s…the Lizzie is the winner. Comfort and high value. 🔥
I copped a pair of Vans TNT's recently. I think they were the last pair anywhere in size 11 ( the shoe was released 2yrs ago) and I wish Vans would release this shoe again. I have a wide foot and as far comfort, this shoe is perfect for skating... If u come across a pair snatch them up!!!
Got some of these but they do fit really weird. Had to get a whole size up just to get them on, don't really see myself skating in them, I'll just stick to my half-cabs.
I've never been able to use skate shoes cause my feet are super thin, they feel extra wide and they always make me trip even when I'm just walking. These look like a good option for me
Been researching wide toe box skate shoes and they really just don't exist. Huge opportunity there. I've heard/read that the Sk8-hi's have the best wide point near the toe so it works decent for people with wide feet, but that's hardly a good solution. I wear Xero Prio's when I'm training and exercising and I fucking love them so much. I wish skate shoe brands, and sport brands in general would just grow the fuck up and design shoes to match the design of our fucking feet.
For me: Nike Dunks work out, but DC has a lot of options for wide footers amongst us, from old 90's style shoes to lots of options on the more modern and slim side of sneaker design. The OG Kalis model is amazing!
That's the problem with the inclusivity ideology, it removes the individual from the process and their importance. We live in such a narcissistic culture that people saying that they are doing something overshadows what is actually being done.
Is it me or is the clip not smooth at all? Look im not camera expert but why do old clips looks smoother? It's so choppy you can't focus on the skater moving around. Unwatchable for me.
Sponsored males: get a men's shoe model for men Sponsored female: gets a unisex model for everyone out of inclusiveness It's kinda like women still don't get to have a shoe to themselves while the men mostly do Not that I've looked at the footwear in skating as being gender specific; I've always viewed skate shoes as utilitarian & unisex (but I'll admit they're more on the masculine side). That being said, I think they look pretty dope and I would wear those. I'm trying to remember if I ever owned a pair of Vans? They were taboo in my day lol
@@alittlezZzen I believe what he's saying makes sense on the "inclusiveness". We don't see men's shoe's marketed as "inclusive" but when it's a girl you do - not to mention I've seen a lot of men getting huffy and puffy about the idea of a skate shoe being unisex, I think that's something to be looked at. With the growing amount of women skaters, they shouldn't have to adopt the consideration of "men" buying the products. Marketing strategy indeed.
@@ZackDowdy oh right, I kinda missed his point there. There's so many Vans colorways and models that are 100% for girls tho, I think that maybe it was something important to Lizzy to label it as unisex? Idk. She's into stuff like that and tbh I think it's pretty cool, I often look at the colorways for girls and think oh crap I really like that one but it's probably designed for girl's feet and to narrow for me or something..
What skate shoes do you think I should try next?
Cariuma 😂😂 (not serious in the slightest)
tom knox new balance 440
Converse cons 1 star
Straye maybe?

same i could barely get my foot to fit in a pair of slip ons
I usually go a half size up and/or use show wideners!
:)
They do, but it’s just for shoes made through the customs options. Although more expensive they have it available
@@montyv9801 I’ve tried the custom and never saw an option for width. Plus they don’t offer half cabs as customs.
@@DerrickDX same if available. But I wear 13. They don’t always offer a 14 sadly
I think the Lizzies look really cool, interested to see how they hold up for knee slides!

Having more pro models for women has nothing to do with whether this shoe sales or not. There just needs to be more girls who can rip like Lizzie

agree with the sustainability aspect, most of these companies can do way more/better.

Got the pink pair quite dope :-)
Try vans half cabs next!
Picked up the black and pink colorways just need the marshmallows
When you compare them to Sk8-hi’s are you referring to their new skate model or normal sk8-his?
I'd guess regular sk8-his. The eco cush is thinner than Vans Skate pop cush.
Yeah, the regular sk8-hi's
@@ZackDowdy have you used the skate sk8 hi’s with the pop Cush?

Good shoes to skate but for my feet not😂. I found it to narrow my size and half size up bigger. I've changed with vans upland🖖🏾
Adidas superstars are the best skate shoe the toe cap gives you a perfect flick

im on the globe motley mids...very similar style to what you seem to like,... maybe check them out :)

I thought the whole it’s a shoe for everyone just meant that it was for both guys and girls to wear
They had to find a way to market it to men. If it was a women's skate shoe, the market would be super small
