The good news is that you didn’t get banned from listing…I’m sure that there is always a process of learning wether it comes to a newer selling platform or even what items are banned or not… Trial and error. At least you’re always looking at the brighter side of any issues! I take that as a win! I hope you and your family have a great Christmas and you all feel better fast! 💕
The fact he shares bad experiences too which many RUclipsrs don't because they are afraid of the criticism. I appreciate it all because i learn from his wins and his mistakes. unfortunately youtube is made up of people who leave positive comments and not so positive. Remember talking poop is not the same as constructive criticism, also people see your comments and eventually just think your a troll, myself being guilty at times. Its hard managing multiple platforms.

By the way thanks also for approving my Dibdit application. I will start putting stuff up, and I think I might even venture into doing a live sale, we will see. After all, I've been approved for Whatnot for almost a year now and havent pulled the trigger. Somehow, I feel that that Dibdit is a more comfortable platform. It's more warm and fuzzy than WN.

Be careful ... if you get banned on mercari good luck getting any funds you have back from them... make sure you're transferring your $$ often... don't let it build up.
Nothing new this is how it works on ALL platforms this is why you need to do daily deposits on eBay (and any other platform that allows you daily deposits) Amazon does not give you the choice if your grandfathered in like i am on amazon i get my money weekly most sellers get there's biweekly

Wow! I know you say you like vendu, but really?!! It seems as if youve had a lot of issues with them. And if you have to be logged into something (chrome), that not only do you not use, but dont like, why would you use that cross listing app?

How many items in your bulk relisting do you actually still have? Maybe you should check to see if you have it before relisting.
Don’t take it too hard. I can’t sell on Depop anymore because they closed my account due to listing kitchen knives. Anything that can be used as a weapon, such as knives, is prohibited. I kept forgetting, and I cross-listed all these chef knives and steak knives, and Depop closed me down with no recourse to reopen my listings. I’ve heard of people who were able to explain things to Mercari and once their email gets reviewed by a real person, you can negotiate to get reinstated.
Funny we only turn our heat to 62 here in Colorado. I use little space heaters wherever I am but my husband is never cold..and I hate him for it.
Dave, I’m watching today’s episode (great, as always). I saw you a little trouble with the word “cloisonné.” It’s pronounced cloy-sen-ay. When I got into making jewelry, I had to learn all those names, too. Figured I’d pay it forward. 😊

I notice many resellers with the sniffles. Not surprising when they handle so much merchandise that has passed thru so many hands and likely harbor all kinds of germs. Never see most of them using sanitizing wipes.

That's why you shouldn't cross list. It seems like every other video you cancel something because you lost it or already sold it.
At least it wasn’t eBay. The job I left this year had me so burnt out I gave up on finding things I sold which two were last December and I didn’t realize my top rated seller was on the line and canceled two in June and nearly fell in to below average. I’ve worked my ass off and I should be back to top rated next month.

I cancelled a couple orders on Mercari and then they started printing in red on my listings “ this seller has cancelled 50% of their sales” - Yikes!
ebay dings you on cancelations as well if you do to many you can be suspended for life if they don't suspend you they suppress your items or just hide them so why should mecari be any different when it comes to cancelation's ALL platforms now look at that as a VERY bad thing
I usually use the sell one like this option. It ensures the sale is allowed.
The scale is worth about $80. I have sold the typical ones with the flat top for $25. Yours, with the removable scoop, is hard to find. Someone got a good deal. But, as you said, you made a profit. That's a win/win.😊

lol I just got the same message but mine was a warning I was just about to use vendo because of the delist thing but if I have to keep google open for it to work can’t do it I’m a apple house and I don’t touch google chrome ever we’ll grr please let us know when vendo gets a apple client and I will sign up that day
Just leave crome up in the background. You don't have to use it but if you leave it open it should still allow Vendoo to do what it needs to do.
There just seems to have been way too many cancellations or can't finds throughout the year Dave. For the next few weeks, maybe you should delist all of your listings & start from scratch to make sure you actually have the inventory in hand. Establish a good process on how not to cross contaminate your WN inventory with your other inventory. Focus on getting your online listing processes in order & maybe reduce all of the side project YT vlogs for a few weeks. We want to see you succeed Dave!!! Don't be afraid to step back for a bit, reorganize, & then succeed again wihout fear of platform repercussions. Good luck & do seriously consider changing your processes!!! 🙏🙏

Did you keep a spreadsheet on those trains or on the lighthouses? Kind of like Kevin does where you can know how much you paid for the whole lot and then have a breakdown of how much you made on the sale minus shipping and supplies.

I have that problem with poshmark. I think I have cancelled like 8 items on posh in 3 months
When I first joined Mercari I sold a lot the first few months and then sales have been terrible in the couple years since. I had a piece lost in the mail when I first started a few years ago that I had not taken to the counter and had scanned and just dropped in the box and since it was 10 days late they made me give back the money to the customer but when she finally got it they wouldn’t let her pay me for it. I stuck with them another year or two but I get no sales I just don’t like the way they block you from any communication with the sellers and I just decided to stay with eBay and Etsy and I closed down my Mercari account. The one thing I do now on both Etsy, eBay and did on the car ever since that last package is take everything to the counter get it scanned and get a receipt. I’m never going to let that happen again . Probably much happier now that I let Mercari go. I did not even keep my buyers account.
I use chrome (and love it), but I open multiple windows so I can log into all my different accounts.

Hey check the camera lens, sometimes they are far more valuable. What's up with your ebay store? no listings, did you get banned?
Do everything you can to not cancel orders moving forward. If that’s not possible, then don’t crosslist. eBay is also becoming more strict on cancellations with bad buyer experience rate recently implemented.
Bad buyer experience roll out is for Asia. Not being implemented in the US, yet.
Are you passing along the eBay discounted carrier rates to your buyers? If not pricing, especially UPS will be very high to consumer.
Do you sell a lot on Mercari like how many items per week?
Never choose can't fulfill order on any platform always use buyer ask to cancel no matter what and the buyer did ask to cancel. I would have send him a message saying I am so sorry the post office must have lost your package I will give you an immediate refund with my deepest apologies to try to make sure I didn't get a negative feedback
Metcari sucks. I bought some cheap stuff on there but lost money trying to sell items. Shipping is too much and people want deals on stuff which makes the value of the product go down. I have over 2 grand in Legos and will sit on them for twenty years.
If I can't fulfill an order, I'll ship them a different item so I don't have to cancel and then just refund them automatically.
Not a good idea to be so cocky about Mercari not banning you. They WILL just outta the blue and just not release any of your money etc and you will have more problems than you already do lol. I have read this happen to several resellers.
Talk to a Kat the Nurse Flipper about Mercari. Based on what Mercari did to her, I closed down my account and have not gone back.
mercari is ruthless, they make quick decisions and don't back down. be caeful!

Watching his videos, he sells a lot of stuff, so to all the haters, consider the actual percentage of Items that are lost or cancelled. I’m sure it is a very small percentage. He like us, is only human and we all make mistakes. I got flagged by Mercari one time because I was deleting items that they say I was canceling to many orders. They were not sold items, they were sold on another platform and I was deleting the listing.
Well with eBay hey don’t allow you to cancel very many before they suspend. He needs to be very careful with his eBay listings. Yes he has a lot of sales but they keep track of cancellations very closely. He reach a certain percentage they will suspend him.

Use multiple chrome users. Then each chrome user account will remember all your accounts separately. You just not use chrome properly.

I don’t think Dave is a normal reseller. Reselling makes up maybe 30% of his income. He’s a content creator whose content is around reselling. Reselling is the vessel for the channel.

I would take this Mercari delisting as an OPPORTUNITY to do an inventory and make sure what you have listed on eBay (and other platforms) is actually in your inventory AND the location in your inventory is accurate. If you are looking for things for Mikey to do this would be perfect for him. Don’t just automatically go back and resist your items unless you are CERTAIN you have it in your inventory. Doesn’t look you can afford to have any more cancellations, so please take the time to do it right. Would hate to see you get banned further from the platforms.

Dave is a prime example of someone who should not be selling on multiple x multiple platforms. All the work of learning a new platform…..keeping up with the sales…time listing not worth it if you are getting cancelled by the platform….this is a pattern by the way ….you couldn’t perform satisfactorily on Bonanza either. I’m glad Mercari kicked you off…sellers that ship wrong gitems, cancel etc make buyers frustrated on the site and hurt other good sellers. You are selling so much on WN and eBay leave those lesser platforms not worth your time or effort. Is the crosslisting $75 per month subscription even worth it when you get taken down?

@@heatherpoirier8717 as a seller I put customer service and satisfaction over butt hurt feelings ….by Dave’s admission he cancelled on over 16 buyers who bought on Mercari how do you think they feel about getting screwed over by Dave’s inability to keep track of sales over and over…I get it being a screw up is his bread and butter making RUclips content…but I don’t give a pass to Dave on this.

The Cannon AE untested and lens etc we have always get $150-$175,... $300 tested. That's one those cameras that photographers always want for their collection as it has been such a staple in the camera world.

It's ridiculous that you're not allowed to sell a recalled item. It's ridiculous you can't sell lawn darts. It's ridiculous you can't sell a lot of stuff. With proper disclaimers, you should be able to sell essentially anything you want.
