Shia LaBeouf is the first actor that has captivated me for his humanity so clear in his work. The first thing I saw him in was Holes, but I saw Honey Boy right after that, and I've had the perspective of that movie to influence how I see all of his movies. Definitely with you, not all are good, but I love the way he is his own artist, his own man, and won't let Hollywood boss him around. One movie you didn't talk about, which is perfectly understandable, is The Greatest Game Ever Played. I thought his ability to portray raw thought and emotion without a lot of dialogue is so compelling, and that was one of his first movies. He has this way of just letting the audience know exactly how the character ticks, cause he really combines with the character. He really goes all-in for his roles. Definitely one of my favorites I've seen of Shia.
Yes! Loved that movie as a kid, and still do even now! It's pretty neat how they went for the mockumentary style, plus it's a pretty genuine engaging and inventive sports story
Honestly, he’s my favorite thing about Kingdom of The Crystal Skull. Contriversial to say, for sure, the character of Mutt is not great and is more an underdeveloped idea than anything else, but you can really tell LaBeouf is trying the best he can to get something out of it. Says a lot about the kind of person he is
Shia’s acting in Even Stevens was incredible, wth?! He won an Emmy for his performance and to this day that’s one of the only prestigious awards he has. “Stilted and wooden”? Did we watch the same show? He delivered all of his lines in the most natural way. He even had a few serious/emotional and romantic moments on the show too. His VHS “I love you” tape to Tawny in the finale??? I’ve never seen another “Disney” child actor do what he did. He was *clearly* gifted.
He came through fairly "innocent", bit the hand that fed him, then got the ugly end of the stick, reevaluated his relationships when he found out just how pointless it was for him to associate himself with so called friends in his life and career, stuck close to his actual friends, and gave a huge F U to hollywood while he mastered social media.
I think the Surfs up & Transformers movies was amazing and I’m always excited to see him on screen. I love how crazy & exotic Shia LaBeouf is!❤️🙏 and if he does have any new movies coming later in life I’m excited.
I would've liked to hear about how he watched all of his movies at once in a theater with anyone that wanted to come in. I know a lot of actor's/creators have a hard time rewatching their old work and he did it with an audience.

surfs up sucks hahaha mad
Yo surf's up is MY JAM, how DARE YOU.
We don't talk about the sequel though...
Lawless was sick too (and dam throwing shade on surfs up, I'm hurt)
I loved lawless, he played it well. I was expecting it to be mentioned...
I too was waiting for Lawless to be mentioned
Was searching for this comment
Yikes, I feel like we now need another video
He was also in Charlie's Angels : Full throttle as Leo and that was I believe my first introduction to him. Always had a major crush on him.
Just watched Fury for the first time a couple of days ago and it was fantastic. Brilliant acting all round.
5:39 Excuse me , did you just call Surfs Up forgettable, cause I personally found the film pretty memorable, anyone else?
Yes! Loved that movie as a kid, and still do even now! It's pretty neat how they went for the mockumentary style, plus it's a pretty genuine engaging and inventive sports story
Surfs Up is the king of penguin movies
@@AdamRWhite A lot better than Happy Feet, lol
@@haydenc.1298 George Miller got to stick to Mad Max movies
Okay but surf's up is actually super underrated, really one of its kind for a kids movie to have that dry documentary style.
This guy will win an Oscar, I guarantee it
Just do it - the most motivational line in the history of the human race
Loved Shia ever since the underrated Disney movie: Holes. Will never stop loving him!!!
In what universe is it underrated??
I met him once and go to talk to him for about 10minutes. he couldn't have been nicer and more down-to-earth
Are we just going to ignore the great acting and role he played in the movie Lawless??
Ryder LV I’m really surprised that he didn’t include this in the video.. It doesn’t make any sense. Shia’s performance was really good!
Honey Boy is such a damn *banger,* I really wish more people watch it. I absolutely loved it.
How dare you call Surfs Up forgettable, watch it again, I tell you it´s pretty good
I think the Surfs up & Transformers movies was amazing and I’m always excited to see him on screen. I love how crazy & exotic Shia LaBeouf is!❤️🙏 and if he does have any new movies coming later in life I’m excited.
Imagine playing your own dad in a movie about you. I love that.
I will say that these retrospectives have made me relook at actors I had previously written off.
I loved his performance in Fury. To give a stand out performance alongside Brad Pitt and John Bernthal was tremendously impressive.
Give me a heart Captain..
*_JUST DO IT!_*
I havent seen a captain midnight video in like 3or4 years glad to see him still making videos
A great perspective and objective approach. Loved it.
I would've liked to hear about how he watched all of his movies at once in a theater with anyone that wanted to come in. I know a lot of actor's/creators have a hard time rewatching their old work and he did it with an audience.
Kids, do you remember the worldwide Capture the Flag game he started in 2017? Man that was glorious
I see a new Captain Midnight vid get post,
I shout CAAAPTAAAAAIIIN MIDNIGHT so my neighbours know.
*It's as simple as that*
*his downs are his ups, and his ups will always be his ups, i feel that shia labeouf is the kanye west of acting, he is a genius when you look back at his career at a fuller view*
A bar conversation between Shia LaBeouf and Keanu Reeves is something I'd spend my life savings to see
Shia is criminally underrated!
I have been a massive Shia fan through his entire career since holes.... I can't believe you didn't mention lawless! He was great in that
u should rewatch surfs up , one of my favorite movie ever with a amazing sound track and cameos from dozens of famous professional surfers.
ive never seen your videos before and im sad i havent found them till now... Just amazing job... amazing, you hit the nail on the head. Thank you
