Kåre 02 Of course there’s such a thing as too thick. Too much of anything is a bad thing.
I live in Asia and small lips are such a craze here , I got so much shit for my big lips ever since I was born , completely shattered my self esteem . But then I went to Europe and got compliments, really weird how different society shapes your perception of what attractiveness is , it's downright toxic sometimes. I'm glad I received a second opinion or I would have lived my life thinking my lips were hideous .
I remember when I was a kid, people were like omg you have thick lips, not in a good way. At the time, thin lips were the 'thing'. And now people are like you have such gorgeous lips!
A mirror is an inverted version of yourself so they technically aren't true to life. The reason you find yourself uglier in photos is because you aren't used to seeing the flipped version of your face, it may look asymmetrical but remember its likely because you aren't used to it
In addition, in the mirror you're constantly moving and can move your head to see desirable angles all the time but a picture is a still image that gives more room for you to pick out any obvious details that you dislike
Christy I discussed this with my friends and it turns out that there might not be much of a difference. When I look in the mirror with my friends beside me, they look the same as how I view them face to face. In pictures they also look pretty much the same and they also feel the same way about me. I think we pay too much attention to detail with ourselves because we are our biggest criticisers but ultimately there isn't much of a difference.
I am really interested in how some people look great with mole, beauty marks, freckles and birth marks but some doesn't look good with them. Please make a video on it.🙏
Okay so you said that full lips contribute to the attractiveness of woman, together with large eyes, prominent cheekbones, small nose and thin eyebrows. The last one got me wondering because I see a lot of models nowadays on insta etc with big and thick, not plucked eyebrows, and they look beautiful and even more youthful because of them I guess. Could you make a video on eyebrows and how the shape and them being thick or thin affect someone’s attractiveness?
thinner brows than a man. Some girls may do a huge bushy eyebrow and pull it off, but maybe everything else about her face is perfectly youthful and feminine anyway. I’m guessing these girls have extreme babydoll young faces in their teens because in your 20s thin brows are more glam/feminine. Doesn’t mean most women should do it. Larger eyebrows are more youthful than very small ones, but too big becomes masculine
I do want to see a video about eyebrows! Haha those pictures where they remove the brows are so insane. But basically I always look to see if the eyebrows look and go well with the face. I think when people do a clean up it’s really the best. I have thin brows and man I never pluck and especially don’t wax or professionally get rid of the hair. I just look younger and better this way my features look softer and less harsh otherwise they’re too arched and I look angry and my eyes look weird and every angular feature is enhanced. Just plain unflattering and aging to my face!
Reminds me of Nina Dobrev. Thin brows suit her. She has those in the vampire diaries. Now she's sporting thicker ones which make her look older than she is
Aly Art made a video on eyebrows and facial attractiveness and showed different eyebrows depends on the how soft or structured the face. Really interesting!
@Rockss ss ig gives a messed up picture of beauty standard. It is actually a trend of how plastic or artificial one can be. Because being plastic seems like a kind of status symbol nowadays idk. Wow. This series has made me look at myself in a slightly clearer light. I used to think I was as ugly as the day was long, but now I can see that I’m at least average, which is pretty darn reassuring.
It's because of the melanin in our skin. Melanin, the pigment that gives black people their complexion, is natural sunblock. We have a genetic advantage. :)
tambanaye sadly that’s why blacks who don’t live in Africa have the highest rate of vitamin d deficiency. Which causes so many health problems and in the process shortens their life span :(
tambanaye yea but blacks have a lower than average low vitamin d levels. And the fact that blacks in 1st world countries live around the same lifespan as blacks in 3rd world countries with a high rate of disease is not a good thing. Too much diabetes and high blood pressure compared to the other races. I see it in my own family not good at all

I absolutely love the content on this channel. This channel actually makes me love the things about my facial structure and how I’m relatively different from the standard idea of beauty. I’m tired of all these one-face boys and girls tbh. It’s like for some reason if you have too much work done you’ll end up messing up your face even more or if you try to copy a popular celebs feature - you will realise it does not suit your face. I’m not against plastic surgery but this channel really put it into perspective and if you do end up choosing to go for plastic surgery - make sure whatever you get done harmonizes well with your existing features - improve yourself don’t copy someone elses nose, eyeline, lips etc. Btw hoping we could get a look into genderless or non binary-defined beauty? For example like how come some amabs are considered “pretty” but don’t necessarily have traditionally “feminine features” or how some afabs are stunningly handsome like azmarie from antm or chella man - and also what makes a face androgynous (bc I’ve always been told up to this day that I look like a pretty girl but am amab) and it would be cool to understand how your features come into play. I would love for you to dissect Hunter Schafer bc Imo her features are traditionally “masculine” like her jawline, nose etc but maybe all her features harmonizes so well she becomes beautiful in a “feminine” manner idk? She is one of the prettiest girls I’ve seen tbh and Tilda Swinton even though majority of her features are considered traditionally “masculine” she is honestly one of the prettiest in my eyes.
I used to hate my big lips and my big forehead while growing cuz everyone (including my friends)used to make fun of it.But once I saw Tomb Raider and was in awe of Angelina ,that kind of gave me confidence through my teens. Now I have accepted myself and love my lips and forehead. I think the more you be accepting yourself and your face the more gain confidence and a confident person is zillion times better than just any pretty face!
My dad's lips are gigantic...but that meant I ended up with smaller, but ideal lips thanks to my mother's influence. The downside is I inherited his lack of eyebrows..so ya win some ya lose some 😂

i've noticed thinner lips look best on slimmer faces like tilda swinton and keira knightley or jisoo kim (blackpink). tilda might be a particularly interesting face to analyze
Very insightful video. I'm new to the channel, and now a subscriber. This info is going to be of great help as I enter the entertainment industry. I have a plan to take on the ideal beauty standard of women who are 40+.
Could u also do a video sometime on plastic surgery ? You could talk holistically about different procedures. For instance if I take lip fillers, you could talk about when it would suit your face and when it would not, the amount of filler used, the look achieved by the placement on different parts of the lips. You could say what usually causes a surgery to get botched and when it is well done. I think it would be quite helpful
we need to actually do more to lower every cultural beauty standard/expectation which is not achieveable for many without a whole lot of plastic surgery. Because that shit is starting to greatly affect young kids who shouldn't need to worry about it in this day and age.
You should do an analysis on Tom Hardy’s face. He has a unique lip shape and the fullness of them compliments his face despite all the other sharp/chiseled features he has. It would be interesting to see how :p
Love your videos!! What I want to know is why Lip gloss/wet lips are so attractive (based on anecdotal evidence) it seems to increase attractiveness for women and surprisingly also works for men
I have very small and shapely lips. I grew up hating them but I think they compliment the rest of my face very well. I have huge prominent eyes and my small lips balance out how exaggerated my eyes are. Sure I can't pull off glossy lips but my rosy brown nude lipsticks do me fairly well!
i think what makes lips universally attractive: 1- front wise, the width doesnt exceed width of nose (assuming nose not wide) and is plump vertically with upper slightly more than bottom 2- profile the lips dont protrude like duck lips. It lays flat on straight teeth but still full if u want an example: monica bellucci IS the golden standard period. But again: u must have good teeth. Good bone structure.
It's important to remember that some of these studies are outdated and based on the 'myth of the 5 races.' Just putting that out there. But these videos are fascinating!
i do wonder how skin affects the way we view people, like freckles and such. Since that seems to be very split in the middle, i personally get freckles in the sun so i use brightening cream and sunscreen to keep them at bay because i don't like them but others love them on me and even wish they had them.
I feel bad that how ppl get mad when thick lips were shamed back then but now they are doing the same w thin lips. Ig every kind of lips are beautiful in their own way. I just wish ppl stop makin looks such a big deal.
I was surprised in the end of the video where you said that the upper lip should be a little bit bigger than the lower lip, I always thought it was the other way around!
It's so strange to watch beauty standards being discussed so seriously, like there is anything at all objective about them....No hate to you guys, you always do your research but a lot of the 'science' behind what is 'objectively beautiful' is (incredibly flawed, I do know a little bit about how research is done and there's plenty of bullshit research out there) too deeply influenced by culture, media, history, etc. to actually shed any light on the reality whatsoever. Barring the correction of actual facial deformities, plastic surgery is influenced by almost entirely by trends rather than objective beauty standards. The reality is that...... there is no 'objective beauty'. Except good health. And even that has a large margin of interpretation. Full lips (in the west) are a beauty ideal TODAY. Go back a few decades and they're nowhere to be found in popular media, artwork, etc. You guys have discussed cultural perceptions in this video but there's no mention of how full lips were perceived in the past (hint: not favorably). You take celebrities as examples of beauty but fail to account for the fact many of them would not be considered beautiful by say... Victorian beauty standards. I have enjoyed your videos in the past but had to leave this comment because the discussion of beauty standards without a mention of how they. always. change. and there is very little scientific about it.. is just... wrong.
If you go based upon people’s opinions, it’s like going based upon a trend changes from year to year moment to moment you just have to like yourself at the end of the day
It was interesting to see how much of communication is nonverbal because I'm autistic and I had to be trained to recognize major facial cues and I still struggle with it sometimes. I bet sometimes I don't even realize someone is sending me a cue. Also, I like thin lips the best because I'm Scandinavian and everyone in my large family has really thin lips. Plump lips just look ehhh/ mid
i have literally every single feature that’s conventionally unattractive. small mouth, thin lips, down turned eyes, weird jaw, and a hooked nose lmaooo
manyleeandmanyknows no one matches the “perfect face” template cause that is not realistic whatsoever, that mask just shows a face that is completely mathematically symmetrical according to the golden ratio theory and it is just not possible to match it completely without it looking like plastic or a robot (check out the channel photoshop surgeon, he photoshops celebrities faces to fit this mask and it always looks kinda odd at the end, at least to me). Better looking people can come close to matching this mask but it’ll never be a perfect match.
Very informative video. Just wondering if the measurements in millimeters toward the end of the video are accurate. The area between the upper lip and lower nose.
I have large-medium sized lips, and get compliments on them. Confused on how I got them though, I’m half White, half Asian and everyone in my family has thin lips

I think it’s cute when lip corners r down turn. Wish mine were... 🤷🏽♀️
I think we should follow OUR beauty standards, be you, you’re beautiful, ok!
And YOUR/OUR beauty standards are effected by universal (biological) and cultural factors.
Can you make a Video on eyebrows?
She is one of the prettiest girls I’ve seen tbh and Tilda Swinton even though majority of her features are considered traditionally “masculine” she is honestly one of the prettiest in my eyes.
i have just binge watched your videos. not only it is very informative but your dry humor is certainly the cherry on top.
The downside is I inherited his lack of eyebrows..so ya win some ya lose some 😂
Omg lol this is exactly what happened to me 😂
My lips are so tiny. They aren't thin. they are just small horizontally.
Oh my god ikr sometimes I feel like my nose is wider than my lips and only 6 teeth show when I smile
@Laura Muñoz i got made fun of for having small lips in India :((
My lips are like that as well!
@@leen1705 I’m pretty sure she means in China, korea and Japan, because they do tend to like smaller lips in that part of Asia, I’m sure your beautiful regardless of what you believe of yourself
@@leen1705 sorry about that but I'm north indian and have small lips and people have complimented me for that. Guess it's all subjective
i've noticed thinner lips look best on slimmer faces like tilda swinton and keira knightley or jisoo kim (blackpink). tilda might be a particularly interesting face to analyze
This series should be renamed to:" Examining why you in particular are ugly, one facial feature at a time".
shut up please
Nah
lol😂
Love your scientifically backed content! 💎
Very insightful video. I'm new to the channel, and now a subscriber. This info is going to be of great help as I enter the entertainment industry. I have a plan to take on the ideal beauty standard of women who are 40+.
Your videos have made me stare at my face harder and longer then I’ve ever done before.
I have thin lips and I love them. I’m never going to get lips fillers. I never want big lips.
I LOVE his lips. Lips in general
You forgot to mention how the width of the lip in comparison to the width of their nose/nostrils affects someone's face.
In a good or bad way? Tom Hardy’s face has fascinated me for this reason. His lips are quite narrow.
after watching all you're videos,i fell like a born model:)
Next episode: forehead/temples/hairline pls
Very interesting, as i have a overbite and it makes my lips look like a duck’s mouth
Probably very cute looking
I loved that random runescape recipe there haha
Thank you for another interesting and insightful video!
Mónica Bellucci ❤️ should be the topic of this video
Love your videos!! What I want to know is why Lip gloss/wet lips are so attractive (based on anecdotal evidence) it seems to increase attractiveness for women and surprisingly also works for men
I have very small and shapely lips. I grew up hating them but I think they compliment the rest of my face very well. I have huge prominent eyes and my small lips balance out how exaggerated my eyes are. Sure I can't pull off glossy lips but my rosy brown nude lipsticks do me fairly well!
I'm searching a channel like this ... Finally got it 😃😃
Time to learn why i look so pretty all the time 🥳🥳🥳🥳🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️
i think what makes lips universally attractive:
1- front wise, the width doesnt exceed width of nose (assuming nose not wide) and is plump vertically with upper slightly more than bottom
2- profile the lips dont protrude like duck lips. It lays flat on straight teeth but still full
if u want an example: monica bellucci IS the golden standard period.
But again: u must have good teeth. Good bone structure.
Loooool so many pple played RuneScape back in the day. I love it 😂
It's important to remember that some of these studies are outdated and based on the 'myth of the 5 races.' Just putting that out there.
Love your vids! Very informative 👏🏽😊❤️
I feel bad that how ppl get mad when thick lips were shamed back then but now they are doing the same w thin lips. Ig every kind of lips are beautiful in their own way. I just wish ppl stop makin looks such a big deal.
My lower lip is incredibly more prominent than my uper lip, that associated with my undefined jawline makes for a profile I don't exactly like
I liked the video before i even watch it because i know you always put so much work into them.
I was surprised in the end of the video where you said that the upper lip should be a little bit bigger than the lower lip, I always thought it was the other way around!
Lara di Mello I think he means it needs to protrude a bit more but not necessarily be bigger in size
I like big eyes, soft youthful zigomatic bone, round or straight eyebrows, small upturned nose, gradient lips, clear skin 😍
I have enjoyed your videos in the past but had to leave this comment because the discussion of beauty standards without a mention of how they. always. change. and there is very little scientific about it.. is just... wrong.
exactly this!!!!
Yeah that's actually a really good point!
6:57 Runescape reference?? Was not expecting that lmao
lmfao neither did I!
If you go based upon people’s opinions, it’s like going based upon a trend changes from year to year moment to moment you just have to like yourself at the end of the day
I have thin lips but my face is small... lip fillers would look terrible on me good thing i noticed it.
Do a video om facial asymmetry as in crookedness, uneven eyes (1 higher than the other), etc. Didn't find anything on this
Can you do a video on cuteness vs sexiness. What makes u either one, which one is preferable etc . Thanks
idk if its just me but i find smaller lips more expressive and attractive in guys
Isn't that the norm? I always thought I was the outlier coz I consider thicker lips to be more attractive on guys.
Can you talk about concave noses ?
It was interesting to see how much of communication is nonverbal because I'm autistic and I had to be trained to recognize major facial cues and I still struggle with it sometimes. I bet sometimes I don't even realize someone is sending me a cue.
Also, I like thin lips the best because I'm Scandinavian and everyone in my large family has really thin lips. Plump lips just look ehhh/ mid
i have literally every single feature that’s conventionally unattractive. small mouth, thin lips, down turned eyes, weird jaw, and a hooked nose lmaooo
Same!
But youre still pretty
That RuneScape meme at the end made me comment and like
6:59 the instrumental is beautiful💯🤧
This channel came in like a breath of fresh air...Just got a new subs. Thanks ♥️
Could you analyze unconventionally attractive peoples faces, for example Adam Driver, David Tennant and Matt Smith?
any women you can think of?
I am in love with this series
i actually have thin lips (i feel like theyre normal but i have a small mouth but they’re thinner than fuller you know) and i actually like them lol
It would be interesting to see you analyze Tyson Beckford.
as an Asian,I prefer thinner lips, preferably cupid shaped, with a vertical crease at the centre of the lower lip
How come I just found out about such a great RUclips channel.
Very interesting and informative video, I have fully lips that I am very proud of, thanks for sharing!!!!👍👍👍☺️☺️☺️💝💚💜💛💙💗
Who's the model on the left at 0:38?
Why im i watching this video knowing it would make me feel more insecure about my looks
the only person that comes to my mind everytime I watch Qoves' videos is Kim Taehyung
Naomi Geraldine doesn’t he match the perfect face template
manyleeandmanyknows no one matches the “perfect face” template cause that is not realistic whatsoever, that mask just shows a face that is completely mathematically symmetrical according to the golden ratio theory and it is just not possible to match it completely without it looking like plastic or a robot (check out the channel photoshop surgeon, he photoshops celebrities faces to fit this mask and it always looks kinda odd at the end, at least to me). Better looking people can come close to matching this mask but it’ll never be a perfect match.
@@leyyla6738 He does! Even plastic surgeons said his face is perfect.
Same. I'd like to see him do a video on Taehyung.
Very informative video. Just wondering if the measurements in millimeters toward the end of the video are accurate. The area between the upper lip and lower nose.
Omg could you write and publish a book on your series? I feel that you would be a great author for this topic!
"big everything" 😂
I have large-medium sized lips, and get compliments on them. Confused on how I got them though, I’m half White, half Asian and everyone in my family has thin lips
Wait but japan prefers thin lips over thick lips (like Hashimoto kanna) why? I was bullied for having full lips...
Recipe for Disaster - love that reference to a Runescape quest!
Thank you for this video!
Omg the runescape reference at the end!!
When are you doing a video on ZAYN??
I have medium sized lips but they still are plump especially when i smile
I have smaller, thinner lips with a defined cupids bow. I wish for pillowy lips, but really they would not suit me. Some say I look like a doll, so I try not to compare myself to thicker lipped influencers
Can you pls do a video on why Selena Gomez is attractive!! 😻✨
She isn't attractive to me
I gotta say that the Bryan guy NAILED the Britney look. I thought that was really HER for a second.
📍Yo, can you makes a voice attractive/sounds nice plz?
I assume in voices that jaws & nasals structure play a role along with throat and abdominal aspscts
Cam you do a explaining my subscribers facial features
Can you do one on Noah Cyrus please? (for Analysing Celebrity Faces) There's something about her that I just can't define but she looks so unusual (in a good way). P.s guys feel free to comment on this thread w other unusual looking yet attractive celebrities, I'd like to see what other suggestions people have
Can you please make a video about the diffrence of facial featrus and hair texture in africa. (East africa and West africa), how come they look diffrent even tho they are all black.
Sax
You forgot to mention what I wanted to hear. Is defined cupids bow more attractive than not having cupids bow?
oh my god @ the runescape reference at the end. i’m so happy
