It’s unbelievable, her character actually doesn’t work on Charlie Puth at all, because he is genuinely way too wholesome and nice, he takes everything she says, at face value.
Yeah, I know she's putting on an affectation act for entertainment purposes but it doesn't really work that well when up against seriously talented and passionate individuals who have had to work hard to get where they are - it reflects back poorly on her. She needs to stick to similarly vacuous individuals.

Personally I feel Bobbi wastes a lot of time acting to make things uncomfortable for who she interviews,the time she spends on making the situation awkward makes it hard to watch for me,its a shame to waste the opportunity to actually have a real conversation to get to know more about the successful people she talks to,its just so pointless to watch if you don't get to know more about who she is talking with,her style of interviewing gets very old very quickly,very frustrating she doses not want to spend any time on serious interesting conversation with her guests,
I'm kind of tired of this character she play with guests she interviews... I wish she would ask better questions with them honestly. When Bobbi started quoting Hallelujah, I got really excited as a big Cohen and Buckley fan. Then she said from Shrek and Charlie had the exact same reaction as me. When he started telling the story about the cover versions it felt like our minds synchronized.
Literally went from having no clue what Charlie Puth really looked like or anything about him whatsoever other than hes collabed on a million different pop songs over the years to literally being obsessed with man!!! His personality is fire af… he is so wholesome, genuine, lovable and adorable… and patient lol. I’m confused how people complain about Bobbi/her interview style and how she “should ask better questions,” etc because honestly her interviews give people the best insight of what its actually like to hang out with her guests, not just watch them in yet another formal interview. I enjoyed this episode so much. ❤

so the problem with bobbi here is that she came with her signature mood/behavior to do this interview with charlie, & him being very obsessed/passionate about music, he was getting emotionally destroyed whenever she dismissed/showed zero interest in his music talk & improvisations. at this point 39:02 he was sick with her & he was done with playing on the keyboard cuz she was showing him no interest since the beginning, i mean dude put you in his own studio & brought a keyboard just to make the interview cool but bobbi ruined it.

First time watching her podcast. Super weird vibe from her. Flat and monotone. No real excitement other than Charlie. She just seems shy and super unimpressed like she isn’t having any fun.
