The weather was hit and miss but we made the most of what mother nature dished out! :) Кино
One of the best videos Johnny. Thanks for taking us there with you....one day we will be physically there instead of watching it! haha
Where is that place
Just stumbled on this an brings back memories of the early 70’s fishing the Hard Line off Brampton.
Cheers mate. Was a good session 😊
Good entertainment guys with some beautiful fish.
Thanks Peter 😊
Awesome fishing mate! Keep sharing your experiences with everyone 😀
Life time experience
Yeah was an amazing trip! 😀
NICE boat, even better fish, I'd be happy with the smaller ones. Oh and nice bends in the rods, just need bigger arm muscles, thanks Johnny Rocket
Thanks mate! Haha yeah working on the chicken arms haha. Cheers for the support 😊
Very nice!!! Drone footage 👌 fishing 10/10
Thanks mate! Was good to get some salt air in the lungs 😊
Rippa vid Johnny the GBR is so epic , so lucky to have this on our doorstep, thoes reds were sick 👌
Thanks mate. Yeah I never take it for granted how fortunate we are! It’s an amazing fishery and place to visit. Will do our part to keep it this way (sustainable). 😊
Cool video!
Thanks mate 😀
Great vid and fish Johnny. 😍👌
Thanks Paul! Was good to be out there again after all the awful weather we have had!

Cheers Dan! Slowly learning the ropes with the drone 😀
Great!
Great catch buddy, stay safe and keep on vlogging..from Angler Philippines..🎣😎😍
Thanks buddy. Appreciate the kind words. Hope the fishing is going well in Philippines. 😀
Love how you make the guys feel good how far from land is that I live in WA gunna do the big lap with me boat may be you could give me some info. Where do you live, my brother lives in Bundaberg 😭
Hey Barrie, it’s about 3hrs give or take one way out to the Great Barrier Reef off 1770. If your bro lives off bundy he can access the souther bunker group easily. He could fish lady musgrave or lady Elliott 😀
Crackin vid Johnny!
Thanks mate!
Great videos and great variety of catch. Can you please share what rods (make model) n reel sizes you are using when catching the bigger fish in deeper water pls? The long thin rods I am mostly interested in as they keep good tension on the line. Thanks Dave
Hi David, thanks for the positive feedback. The rod I was using in the deeper water is a Wilson Venom PE 2-5 and 7ft in length. I matched it with a Shimano Stella 14k with 100lb Daiwa Saltiga Braid. I have to say the Wilson Venom rod is fantastic with sensitivity but still has enough grunt to handle the bigger fish. :) Tight lines mate. Hope this helps.
Awesome fishing, I am traveling from Vancouver and would like to book a charter
Thanks mate. Unfortunately mate I don’t run charters. Look up Cam from 1770 on your boat charters. He is a good operator 👌👌
@Johnny Chow Fishing Thanks I will contact him.
Nice video kawan strike yg luar biasa 👍salam strike
Thank you very much 👌
@@johnnychowjc 🙏🤙
That was a pleasure to watch. Thanks for sharing. Those gold bands pull hard eh! I’m assuming you were up north there. We’ve caught quite a few big ones up past Broomy.
Hi Jason, appreciate the kind words / feedback. Trying to improve with each video. Yeah we fished Sykes to Broomy and Lamont for the Trout.
What sort of depth were the reds and Gold bands coming up out of? Some really nice quality fish there Boys
Cheers Garry
Hey Garry, most of the fish were from 60-70m. Hope you find a few
Hi mate great video, nice boat what make is it?
Thanks Billy the boat is a Grady White 236 Fisherman. 300 yamaha on the back 😀
👍
Great stuff as usual mate well done keep it up. Can I ask what rod and reel set up is that you get your red on please? 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks Michael. Appreciate you supporting the videos! I am using a shimano terez 40-80lb which is 7”2 long. I like to match with a 14k Stella. A Saragossa will do as well. Hope this helps 😀
Nice
Thanks
Hey Johnny

Wondering if you have any advice
Hey Stephen, thanks for the kind feedback. What boat have you got coming? What species are you planning to chase?

Great vids mate. Lots of quality fish! Would you mind detailing the gear you are using please
Hi Storm Chaser, thanks for the positive feedback. The rod I was using in the deeper water is a Wilson Venom PE 2-5 and 7ft in length. I matched it with a Shimano Stella 14k with 100lb Daiwa Saltiga Braid. @@johnnychowjc champion. Thanks for taking the time to reply. All the best and tight lines!
Johnny, what anchorage do you recommended for overnight ?
Hey Andrew I normally sleep at Fitzroy lagoon or Sykes. Lady Musgrave is a good a safe anchorage too.
Hey mate how many knots was it blowing in the video cheers
Hey mate it was blowing 15 Knots approx. Sometimes it would blow a little hard with the rain squalls.
Loved the vid mate but you wasted some good trout skin 🤦🏼 no need to scale the skin for crispy skins they are best cooked with the scales on and salted before you shallow fry them but your fish to do as you wish nothing but respect brother 👍
Thanks for the tip. I didnt realise. I thought the scales might be a bit tough to chew. will note for next time. :)
@@johnnychowjc they are a really fine scale Johnny, when shallow fried they stand up like little hairs and become super crunchy it’s like pork crackling but from a fish haha u won’t regret giving them a go that’s for sure mate. Thanks for the reply wish u all the best mate and look forward to more uploads from u 🤘
G'day mate what time of year was that
Sorry I mean to say it was in May.
what transducer are you running mate.
Running a Airmar 1kw TM275 LHW
@@johnnychowjc cheers mate i need to start using my cm275lhm again.
been running the p79 as it seems to show the lumps better were the 275 makes the ground look flatter.
Obviously the 1kw gives a lot better target descrimination.
@@markandrews8835 i am a bit of a dinosaur with tech so i have just left it on default settings with the sounder. The tech is pretty good for just plug and play in my opinion, with no tinkering. :)
