You missed one very important thing; DM guns, DM shells, but the shell arcs are much flatter, and much more usable at range.
I would like to have these shells on Illinois
To be Honest, while I was interested in the Hull, I decided to get the Druid instead because I did not want to regrind half another ship line to get the remaining R.P. But the Druid is a good ship if you choose your fights carefully.
One extra tidbit: One of the major reasons the 8 inch guns were removed from Hull was because while the Auto-loading 8 inch guns worked as intended, the hull of the destroyer itself Could not handle the blast effects from the gun firing, similar to the Courageous class " Large light cruisers " with 15 inch guns mounted on a lighter cruiser hull. The 8 inch gun fire would cause the ships welding to buckle and come undone. So after almost every firing tests, a repair ship had to help assist the ship in repairing the damage caused by the Hulls own guns.
Druid is fantastic in the right situations, but it's very different from Hull. Druid is great peeking around islands, but needs to survive to later in the game when it can use its massive AP dpm against opponents.
Although it looks (wonky) the ship did actually exist. Difference is they only tried the 8" gun on the forward gun mount.

I’ve gone reload equip but range skill plus reload open water skill and ammo feeder instead of supt and demo expert, plus extended speed boost in slot2.
You change ammo type all the time.
Got this boat, I am liking it so far. Trying to use it to get the Halsey missions. Working on the 12 fires or floodings mission. Really hard mission.....but I am hoping with these guns and the ~16% fire chance, my chances are better.
The turrets look so weird and goofy man, it looks overly futuristic for it's hull (no pun intended...), but I like it! :)

Hull is my type of ship. Great video.
Get the tech tree Elbing instead. Hull is not worth 60k RB points. Throw on legmod for Elbing and German captain Lutjens will even outshine Hull that much more. Those single barrel guns are meh...

I have the Sherman. The fragility of the engine and rudder is no joke. I have literally lost both at least 5 times in one battle, assuming I stayed engaged with the enemy and lived that long. It quite literally takes engine room damage with every salvo that wven gets close.
The way to defeat anything on the Sherman hull is to go for engine room hits, you can keep it unable to maneuver and evade often enough and long enough to wreck it, fairly easily. It's slow and sluggish when the engine and rudder are at 100%, and it's a big target.
I haven't hit the research bureau yet, I only have 1-2 lines fully researched. If I had a Gato or Archerfish, and you could reset the submarine line......
What's the best place to aim to damage the engine and rudder on Sherman? HE at the back of the ship? Specific location?
Something you didnt get wrong but is misleading is 29:54, Hull has the third best shell velocity of all t10 DDs. Wouldnt hurt to try range build especially with lack of smoke and hydro and addition of engine boost kinda like a Marceau
Don't the hull shells come out of the guns a little quicker than the DM?
Yes I glossed over that, they do have flatter arcs than the DM guns

Have you tried changing the flooding signal flag for the AA one, seems like it might be a good option making it a little terror for planes/airstrikes.
For ASW, why aren't the wing mounted (you see them on either side under the Bridge at 6:29) ASROCs included?
the oliver perry class i believe was released shortly after. my guess the guided missile sub hunter took it's place. And we made alot of them
The gun was developed for mounting on the Iranian AAW version of the Spruance that then became the USS Kidd class destroyers. OHP were part of Zumwalt High-Low mix where fleet units is Spruance, Burke, High Cost would be offset by Lower Cost frigates such as OHP that would be provided for where did not need the Fleet Units, so Convoy Protection etc.

@@michaelmcnally2331 don't know just know when i was on FFG9 we did plane guard when with desron1 as well as drug ops (time period) while with surfron1 we hunted submarines more than once that did not belong there (west cost). of course she was a reserve ship by that time and rather old compared to Vandergraft ect.. I missed it when she stared in the hunt for red october. i was in boot camp when it came out

they should be homing torps like they were irl unlike subs who shouldnt.
An idea for a dd div is Hull, F Sherman and Black. You got 2 smokes, hydro, radar and one ship with good torps

Where other youtubers go for range, you go closer... but 6.5 km concealment is still bad for cap contesting.

Here's one for you to answer ho mighty sea lord, I have an Iwami and have the 20% skill to your secondary batteries activated, from 8.8 to 9.2 but it is only active maybe once out of every five or so battles any ideas why it is not activated each and every battle?
If you're within 9k and not bow on there is no reason they shouldn't work.
@@scotty5166 That's what I thought! but most of the time they show 8.8 as my maximum range and not 9.2 the mod states.
I didn't hear the smoke firing penalty
I was in my Cerberus and hit the Hull with 14 full pens and barely took 1/3 of its health. I get that it has a super heal but seriously 14 203mm pens and it shrugged it off like it was nothing while it murdered me. SMH

I'm not a DD player at all so I'll defo be getting this little bundle of mayhem. It's a DD for non DD players!
It is also a "Cruiser DD" for DD players. This ship will be all over the place in T10 clan battles, on flanks, ready to kill enemy DD flankers and "bow in" radar cruisers.

Good point, I wonder if WG will do something like they did with WoT with the game Modern Tanks...kind of messed up if they did it with ships

Well, that's very unfortunate for you. But you forget, in your infinite wisdom, that your concealment also is 6,9km if your AA is up. Soooo...what's your point?
Well smoke wouldn’t be that good on this DD as they are too big for smoke.
Mountbatten likes paper ships, huh? Maybe we can get a British DD with the single 18 i8nch guns off of Furious, one forward and one aft. Well, of course with rapid firing autoloaders! I mean, that's what makes the game fun; trying new and unique things on the ships we play. I'll bet the spread sheets say we're having a helluva good time!
