Those Earth attacks are 5E each, and 15E a turn is more than double our earth income from our entire peak 55 province empire. And it was multiple casts every turn for close to 10 turns at this point, largely just killing random commanders, so 150E spent just on that, on top of the wizard's tower than Erytheia put up on our Northern border to protect his logistics from Wind of Death drops several turns back. So we were a bit jealous, though of course those Earth gems are probably coming from wish farming at this point.
@@DarkSideCookiesdefinitely some, and they are working together. But a lot were targeted at mages inside forts Pan was sieging, which Erytheia could not target.
TC still has a couple hundred commanders, most of them Ancestor mages, so there's no good reason we didn't send an extra Indy commander with that raiding party... Probably we'd just evacuated too many commanders further in, and nobody else could make it through the cold without movement gear. We probably did have a couple mages who could go... But we are trying pretty hard to avoid Pan having easy options to steal them, since especially the D and E randoms are valuable loot. Overall this felt like a pretty good turn for our goals; killed roughly 50 fort turns of Pan mage recruitment, about half through Vengeful Waters and half through Pan's Bone Grinding friendly fire, and didn't lose important gear. I'm very happy with our mages killed scorecard as a way to feel motivated on the way out of the game. Earlier game, sacreds killed would be better, but certainly Pan's armies are mostly all about the mages.
The most important thing is that Pan is now countering Winds of Death with Fountain of Youth, which is the reason why so few of Pan's stuff died from that. That is super clever and cool
Yeah this was one of my favorite moves of the late game; I just love the fact that Illwinter had a counter to Wind of Death cancer hiding in the artifacts list, waiting to be used at the right time.
32:06 Take a note on the unrest amount in the Throne of Death province. Gotta mean something?😂 Can't go any higher because of the pop limiting factor though
It feels like Gath would be a significant favourite against Xibalba. I guess the biggest risk is getting tied up with them long enough for Pan to come in and make it a 2vs1 against Gath?
I'm kind of wondering when Pan is going to make a play bigger than his centaur apocalypse. He must have _some_ kind of larger plan. I assume Nature's Bounty is going to go up, and maybe Nexus as well - the biggest question is how long does he wait.

Are you sure it was Pan, and not Erytheia spamming the Earth attacks?
I am pretty sure that at least a part of that was Erytheia

Yeah, I really liked that

29:44 This is exactly the Gathian plan in general as of this point. Cripple Xibalba as much as possible then deal with Pan mostly alone

Which is why I don't want to hesitate
