When I smelt this, I was definitely wowed. A women actualy recommended me this, she said “This is going to blow your mind” and it did and I ended up buying it. i still love the smell, I get whiffs of it all day (8hrs) I’m kinda bummed to see it has bad reviews on YT, but when I go to any store, this bottle is always almost empty, and even the sales people say it’s very popular. So I’m confused.
Forget about YT commentators in general. Just feel the thing, and forget about them.
I mean, each person will react a certain way given each person's imagination, upbringing, expectation, circumstance and taste... So stick to the commentary that fits your perception of the fragrance ONLY.
Spray it, give it atleast 5 minutes, and the dry down to Vanilla is Heavenly!
I like it , very masculine scent. It's got definitely strong 1980's vibes, it's not for a younger person. It could be in a similar category to Dylan Blue: strong, dominant, masculine, bossy. It's nice for a change that the iris was removed from this one.
I like the woodier ones, the EdP and the Boisée. The powdery-booze of Reserve Privée doesn't work for me. And I just tried Society on paper and skin this morning: nope. Far too much of that generic designer sweetness which is in everything these days.

I returned this fragrance ... creamy vetiver and vanilla with a hint of woods ... and sweet very sweet

i have just entered in this parfum world, i tried like 30 fragances and this one is the one i like it the best, weird to me to see that no body recommends it, i absolutely love it even more than my sauvage elixir
I love this smell very pleasant. I have two bottles you won’t regret buying it.
At this Point I wouldn’t be surprised if they release Gentlemen „Elixir“ 😂😂😂
Gentlemen EDP is really fine and has good longevity. Worth the price. IMO.
It is good and I do not hate it and I love this smell, but there is another perfume that smells almost the same and it is
Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo edt . And there is a difference in price and strong Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo is much cheaper as well as stronger, and gentleman society is softer, so it is better to spend $40 instead of $80.
If the price of a gentleman is 50 dollars or less, then it will be fine, but more than that, the best is uomo .
I haven't tried it, but I was never a fan of the iris they use in Gentleman flankers or Dior homme intense. Just not that particular iris. I like Gentleman boise though because I smell the least amount of iris in that and it's more vanilla/peppery/leathery which I love. I thought if they release a vanilla/leathery fragrance without iris it would be awesome because they do vanilla and leather really well

Actually kinda liked it on paper. Generic, but decent for a designer these days. Ohhh how standards have fallen eh? 😄 Didn't hear great things on skin though. Will be a disappointment if this is how they break the iris streak. I dunno, maybe they're just fishing for numbers.

It's good but the EDP is still the best in my opinion. I believe Givenchy will sadly discontinue the entire line very soon.
Good but zero originality, its too similar to Dior Homme Intense
Boisee is still the top tier for me.

I wear Terre and I am woman just because vetiver is one of my favourite notes😅. With this flanker by Givenchy well, I wore it and liked it due to the aromatic notes but if you don't like vanilla then you won't enjoy the drydown. This is not girly but I see where she is coming from saying it's unisex. I hope I'm making sense...

I rather go with the GIVENCHY GENTLEMEN Society Eau de Parfum which, is Woody, Floral, Aromatic;
goes for $113 for 2.0 oz - but the New GIVENCHY smells really great as well but I prefer the Eau de Parfum over Extreme.
