If you have not gotten a listen to Zhou Shen from China, I suggest him too. As an introduction into Zhou "Charlie" Shen, begin with his premiere performance on the Voice of China singing HuanYan. After this first video, move on to his versions of "Memory", and "Time to Say Goodbye". For something different from him, watch his version of "Ring the Doorbell", "Let It Go" and "Monsters". Last, but definitely not least (there is so much more from him), enjoy the videos, "This is Me" and a very unique and fun song (one of my favs) "Da La Beng Ba". Hua Chenyu used this two-day and two-night meticulously adapted "Nunchucks" to be a stunning bombing. He deconstructed this classic work and recreated it based on it. The whole song perfectly combines musicals, pops, raps, operas, and sings. Highly recommend 😘

Kpop is good. But do you know that there are many phenomenal singers in Korea that most of these kpop idols could not hold a candle to? If you are into Korea, then you should check out Sohyang. Her songs are like Hua Chenyu or Dimash, they weave magic on you and made you in awe with their performances. She sings English songs too. Bridge Over Trouble Water, You Raise Me Up (2018), Lean on Me, I Have Nothing or maybe something that is appropriate for this season O Holy Night.
Sohyang does sing well (I do like her）, but the unique thing about Hua Chenyu is that he is not just a singer, but also a composer with a lot of thoughts, soul and feelings in his composition and performances. I particularly like the part of him being a composer/creator that creates all these unique songs/atmosphere and shares with us his thoughts and feelings in them. That, to me, is truly the sign of a great artist!

Anyway, Sohyang has at least two songs by her and she is a novelist who publishes many science fiction fantasy novels. To me, those ain't important if her singing is unable to make me have chills and goosebumps all the time. That is just me. I believe some feel differently.
