@4:04 the crown at 2 o clock is done on purpose, so that the balance spring/wheel lines up at 6 o clock.

ive got the gold with cream face of that watch , But , like you , i was'nt too keen on the strap that came with it , so i put a pale suede one on , & it looks nice now , i really love bilovas , & i really loved your square one , brilliant .

Pretty good review! Could you tell me how many mm is the lug to lug of this watch? I think the lug to lug is the most important measure in order to know if this watch will fit in your wrist.

Thanks! I actually have this up on eBay now after all this time. The Miyota is fine. I just don’t wear this style of watch any longer.
.....however, it’s a awesome Aerojet. Once again Bulova does it again.
I was thinking the same thing about those lumed dots! Seems pointless if there is no lume on the hands!

Large watch ! Different position of the stem 2 o’clock instead of 3 o’clock, but I like numbers and not Roman numbers! Self winding 🤔 what is the water resistantance ( pressure resistance) before it leaks? I agree with you on the luminous!
I haven’t tested the water resistance since it’s on leather and is a pure dress watch. I just care that I can wash my hands or go out in the rain and not ruin it 😂. Thanks for watching!

Is it comparable to the Tissot Powermatic 80? If so, how? How do the machines compare?
There’s no comparison besides maybe the aesthetics. The movements are in completely different leagues. You are getting a much more refined movement 80 hour power reserve with the Tissot for a hundred dollars more.

Maaz Zafar great question. Can’t go wrong with either one. Both have stellar movements. Hamilton was founded here in Lancaster,PA. So if you like American heritage, that would be the brand. I did a video on the history of Hamilton if you’re interested.

This would need winding every 38 hours or so. I wouldn’t consider this to be a collectors watch. I anticipated this to be one in the video, but I’ve changed my stance since. Hope this helps.

@@raminbarnet1 if you keep it on your wrist you won’t need to wind it. If it’s sitting for a few days (approximately 38 hours) you’ll need to wind it.

Weird, i have the same model 98a187, may be mine is an updated model because it is a hacking version.
I have 2 Rolexs and 1 omega constellation, I'm really picky on quality looks and this one I'm sure in 10 years will be a good collectors watch

MGTOCRETES I have a 7” wrist myself and fits the wrist perfectly. You’ll have no issues at all.

Just picked this piece up for a great price on Amazon after eyeing nit for a while, but just wanted to note mine hacks as well.
I read on the Bulova website that if you let those 40 hours go without wearing the watch, you'll have to wind it for 10 to 15 minutes!? Do you think that information is correct? Or should you simply wind it everyday for a minute or so (if you haven't been wearing it)?

José Soto Welcome to the Avg Joe family! That information is false. Should say 10-15 secs. of winding will be sufficient for a full days work. Remember that wearing the watch with the movement of your wrist turns the rotor as well and winds the watch. So for me personally, I wind my watch a good 5 times to get it started and strap it on.
