Rob,you should really consider getting Natasha to do a guest spot on a Dorje tune or 2....Between the heaviness of the band & her amazing vocals,it has radio practically stamped on it..Maybe a duet between you 2, would probably be the cats tits!! I really dig the Red Tower tunage!!
So many people knock guitars that are built in an Asian country. But from these videos Rob has been posting, it looks to me like there is so much quality control that goes into these guitars. Just as much if not more than USA made guitars.

Actually I would consider it stupid to think you have to spend 3 to 4 thousand dollars to get a nice guitar! I'm not saying USA guitars are crap, But do you really think that paying 5x the price is going to get you a guitar thats 5x better?
dmike03 it's the quality of the wood that's all that matters it gives it better tone
dmike03 like 10-13 + thousand dollar guitars sound way better than a 100 - 1000 dollar guitar
Lets not get crazy now the guitars being made in Korea are good quality instruments, but they're not Les Paul Standards or PRS Customs
I feel as though after seeing these last few documentary type videos, I have gained a better understanding of how guitars are made over seas and now I have come to appreciate the effort put in each one. I didn't really know how they were made before, but now that I do, I am glad. Now I'm going to appreciate the heck out of my Indonesian bass even more than before. Thanks Mr. Chappers 👍

Christopher Macrander is not really amazing, you could have macrander guitars made there tomorrow if you like, all you have to do is chose specs, its not exactly innovative for the guitar.

I am seriously floored by the quality and craftsman ship seen in these Korea videos. Everything to the smallest of details is taken in to account. I personally think that at this point, seeing all of this, that Chapman guitars will soon be as big, if not bigger, than Gibson or Fender. Way to go Rob! What you've done is incredible and I will for sure be buying one of these Ghost Frets.

I very much enjoy watching them...
That brought back memories. I used to be a programmer/setter/operator, on cnc mills, a while back, mainly producing prototypes. It was so cool to see a 2 dimensional design become a 3d object. These guys have got there feeds and speeds spot on. No chatter marks, no burn, just a nice finish, tip of the hat to them.
You're doing good things, Robert. It's awesome to see that guitar being made. I can't even imagine what's like to be there in person! You have to be proud! Cheers to you & Nat.

Just wanted to congratulate you Rob on your achievements so far. I saw your video where you said that your life used to be in shambles (alcohol/eating problems etc) and when I saw this video showing the birth of your new prototype guitar being made, really shows that you have come a very long way and have achieved so much. I must say that what you do is very inspiring to see and I wish you all the best with it mate!

I'm still not a big fan of the headstock shape, but this one I would seriously consider buying! Keep us posted!
I concur, its still the weakest link in their guitars I am almost considering doing some free design work for them and providing a few alternatives.
I didn't take note of this guitars tuners but I hate the upside down tuner setup and will never buy a guitar that has that setup. Other than that they appear to be very competitive. Perhaps its time to introduce a model without the unconventional easily knocked out of tune upside down head stock. Isn't it just easier to tune with the tuners on top? Yeah, I have 3+3 and 3+2 instruments but 6 on the bottom doesn't work for me. My dollars, my opinion.
I was the same, didn't like the reverse headstock, but I wanted a ml1 so bad I just forgot about it. So I can now say rid growing on me and I really like it.
I think it's better for the neck having the heavier strings on more wood or whatever something to do with tension.

Personally, I don't mind reversed headstocks (Hell! Look at the beauty that is a black machine). I do mind ones that have a horrible shape. Headstocks are the in most cases the thing that makes or breaks a guitar aesthetically.
To be clear, my comment wasn't about the fact that the headstock is reversed, I really have nothing against that, I just don't like the shape. It's cool that it doesn't look like any other brand, it's unique in its design, it just doesn't do it for me. In some way it just doesn't appeal to me the same way other headstocks do. I do have my favorites, but I appreciate other brands as well and think their headstocks match their overall guitar design. That is - imho - the one thing missing in the design of all Chapman guitars... ;)

The headstock is amazing, i love it.

I'm fan of the more 'radical' types of guitars, so I wasn't that amused with either the ML-1 or ML-2. ML-3 however I fell in love with, but ever since I saw your green GhostFret all those years ago, I've been hoping you would make another :)

Rob, I really enjoyed this build video. I cannot wait for the next installment of this build. One thing I have learned from building guitars, if the body and neck do not stand the no glue test, it's no good. You'll have to have a run of the Ghost Fret in left handed!

Every time I start GASing for a certain style of guitar but can't find it exactly how I'd like it, Chapman Guitars comes in and saves the day XD I've been craving an explorer, but can't find the one for me. This is looking like the one XD :D

The Korean Craftsmen are doing wonderful things for all the varied companies within their network. It must seem quite surreal at times to realize that you are looking at your dreams turned into reality and being enjoyed by so many. A lot of very good Karma all around the entire venture. I still WANT a Gold Top "V". Let me re-phrase that, I will Buy a Gold Top "V" from you when it comes out.
