    That much power from a draw through setup is just the coolest thing ever. Wicked

    Excellent video. Nice to see the history and evolutions over the years of these Historic Sports Sedans. Please do some more of this style of video as you have time and see the cars, they are appreciated.

      Plan is to certainly do more, the biggest hurdle is getting owners to give up some time and then finding period pics/videos and getting permission to use them. There's definitely a few Tassie cars to cover, hopefully later this year 👍

    560hp on 24psi with no intercooler, that’s impressive
    I dig the Normalair Garrett sticker on the back

      Be cool to see the RX7 again too. I remember watching it as a youngster at Baskerville 👌

      Thanks, have a few more planned to get done this year. Hardest part is finding time with the owners to sit down and have a chat about their car!

    Oh' isn't that the truth about exhaust manifold warping problems with high boost applications, I owned a turbo LJ for 13 years, that I pushed beyond 20 PSI boost. After trying several different types of manifold gasket I found that the best solution was just a big blob of Black Silastic (Gorilla Snot).

      As they said a 202 Holden.

      3.3L, but with turbo equivalency 3.3L x 1.7 = 5.610L

    it looked like the carby had two different fuel feeds going to it . is it because the bowl runs out of fuel ?

    • @callanrs2000
      @callanrs2000  Год назад

      Not too sure but I'd say so as the fuel requirements are quite high!

    Having raced an XU1 Chev I can guarantee it will be faster than any 6 cyl one. And be consistent and easier to drive than any turbo. Even my first Chev with probably 350hp would beat Irving head cars. With HQ Brakes! In the end it had 300+ more and was a top 10 car in national company, occasional top 5. And on AGP track, Sandown, PI was the second quickest car in a straight line. Though not in lap time. And still a very simple low buck car.

    I reckon if he took that car to Scotty at Haltech (with a few bucks in hand of course) Scotty could wrangle a much more manageable load of horses and torque out of that little beast.
