agree f-fry but weightless t-rig 3@ hook - smaller profile than senko - some folks like to do Carolina Rig Lizards but I prefer the old 3-4" Yamamoto creature baits or down size 1/8 oz Jigs n small trailer - the old 80s version of Rebel pop R or smaller spooks or suspending jerkbaits or kill a spinnerbait drop it into a target and a Sod buster 5-6" harness plastic worm go to the first breakline off the bank eliminates pesky smaller bass and the bigger bass are just out of sight on that breakline - look for the deeper water bays that have some humps or a big feeding flat at the back end and may be do some dock fishing
It’s late April almost may here In northern VA and the river fish aren’t showing any signs of staging yet weather here’s been absolutely hit and miss one week hot, one cold. Still catching but not in there typical spawn areas yet.
Great video again Mike. Always look forward to your videos. Can I ask for your help and make a series on tackle storage. Specifically soft plastics. Mine is out of control so I would like to see how you do it and get some suggestions. Thanks Mike!
Interesting...I've had good luck in may on bigger baits in the midwest...6-7" soft jerkbaits have been my go to in may last couple years...an 8" Deps & 9" white Slug-go get tossed, too...amazing those big baits have such drawing power
Things have finally started picking up here in Boise, Idaho. Last weekend April 20th and 21st started seeing some bass on beds and heard of guys catching some off of beds. April 20’th no bites. Calm sunny conditions. Not a single bite. Very next evening April 21’st complete opposite. There was a little wind on the water and the bite was wide open. Stuck 4 bass and even 3 big crappie. Baits of choice: keitech 4.8 on a flashy swimmer. And a jig head minnow style bait. 3.5” spunk shad on a small jig head. All from shore. No FFS needed 👌🏼
People always talk about the majority of bass moving deep in the face of warmer weather, after the spawn and that any bass who stay shallow are typically smaller males. I seem to not get any bites fishing deep, I do all my damage right off the bank, typically in less than 6 feet of water and I been catching some hogs this year in the shallows.
California is different, ...your fishing, boating everything related is overtaxed...you have few natural lakes and small bass. ...one exception is clear lake..I suggest not fishing California from May thru July....it's too crowded, and we have all three stages of spawn right now depending on elevation, temperature.
Gotta crack up and smile with the BACK IN THE SHOP intro every time. haha
Iv seen many bass related video, this has to be the most badass channel very informative to newbies, love his character too man!
Welcome!!!

Same here in Colorado. Snowing one day, 80 degrees the next
I have been using small floating rapalla vampire around boat ramps and hitting small bass and bigger bluegill in Southern Indiana!

you could also neko rig a lizard during the spawn. i done that yesterday and they nailed it every time.
Appreciate you, all good stuff. PB on a lizard in May also.

Love Ike !!! Thanks man for the information 🙌
Thank you so much for your information and help 😊
Great info Mike!!! The wacky rig is killer here in South Jersey. The SK redeye lipless crank is productive. Nailed a 5.4 out of Cedarville last week
Nothing better than a SK redeye bite 🔥

Both great choices!! Keitech on the flashy swimmer is one of my favorites!
