  • Our favorite way to get from London to Paris and vice versa. Traveling by train feels like an adventure all in its own.

The Eurostar is the BEST way to take this trip. Like he said, city center to city center. Security is a breeze. They don’t have the liquid restrictions so if you want to buy some liquids in Paris, you can easily bring it back to London.
Take the earliest trip in the day and travel on a weekday for the cheapest price. You’re perfectly fine in the standard carriage. I don’t think it’s worth it for the higher priced options because the trip is so quick. Just bring your own food. The concession car is overpriced.

Great additional info! I agree with standard for ticket being sufficient for the length of travel.

Great video! I will be taking this train in December. We are a family of 3, did you have to buy the 4th seat? Or just purchase 3 seats and hope nobody else books the 4th seat?

Thank you! We only purchased 3 and hoped that no one reserved the fourth seat. You have the option to switch seats anytime before departure if you need to adjust.

Very nice video, made in a unique way. It would be really great if you could mention the ticket prices as well 😊

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I actually had a section on the pricing but in edit felt it dragged a bit. I guess I should have left it in. I’ve seen pricing anywhere from $72-$250 in standard & $300-$600 in business one-way.

Prices are one of the Eurostar drawbacks. Yes Eurostar does have some low prices but you have to book many weeks ahead and travel off-peak to qualify. Eurostar holds a monopoly for 30 years and really needs a rival.

@@alexmcwhirter6611we ended up booking last minute and definitely paid a premium for it. It was hard to watch those prices rise while we were still figuring out exact dates of travel.

Very amused that under the title Eurostar you show a Thamelink class 700 on Digswell Viaduct in Hertfordshire, so nothing to do with Eurostar at all. I can only assume there's a rights issue over filming the Eurostar trains? Looked very odd to me.

Sounds like you really know your trains. I on the other do not. Just added some drone stock footage for visual effect. Didn’t even realize it was a different train than it was labeled. I assure you that our personal footage and experience is about the Eurostar. I appreciate the feedback and will look out for those details should I revisit any rail travel in the future. Cheers
