Really enjoyed this video! Mega Man 2 for the Game Boy was my first Mega Man experience. It came with my Game Boy. Damn it was tough though. Either I sucked and/or I just didn’t have the patience for it. Still have it… somewhere… I much preferred Super Mario Land 😅 I did keep coming back to MM2 though. Something kept pulling me back in. Tempted to try 3 and 4 now! 😎
I loved mega man 2 at the time and I also found it really difficult as a youngster! After the nes game it was my first mega man so I still have a lot of fond memories of it.
My only experience with Game Boy Megaman was Mega Man IV, and the intro along with Ballade's story made it THE coolest storyline in classic Mega Man to me. Even if a nerdy part of me thought that it broke lore that a robot could rebel against its code in OG Megamam when they only got free will in the X series... it was still super-cool to see so I didn't mind. Also the game was fun, but that's most Mega Man games to me. Interesting that Mega Man I doesn't actually have 8 robot master stages though but lets you fight the last four in the "boss gauntlet" section. I wonder if they couldn't figure out how to put eight stages in a Gameboy cartridge at that time, or if they were just saving up money on dev time? Considering they had figured it out by Mega Man III. Always regretted passing a copy of Mega Man V for Game Boy when I found it in a store once here... but I didn't actually own a Game Boy myself and only played IV at a friend, so I don't think I'd have managed to convince my parents I "needed" it at the time. Considering how rare it is these days...

The only Mega Man games that I actually love are the Legends games and Mega Man X. Does this make me a fake fan? Either way, the series is impressive.
