Thank you friend. Thanks to your video, I took courage and opened my DSC-HX200. There was a problem with the on/off button. I talked to three technicians in my city and none wanted to try, and Sony, answered my questions using apparently dumb robots.
@@avim4896 I had to take it apart a few more times because I thought it was just cleaning. It worked for a while and then the problem started again. In the end, I found out that it was the on/off/shutter ribbon cable that had the problem. I ended up ordering the part used (I only found it used) via e-bay.

I have ordered the whole lens, for under $50 us... now I'm waiting for it to arrive, I'll let you know how it went... No spindly cables to deal with, should be easy, just like in your video, thanks :) but I will approach these cables carefully from now on, knowing how easy they tear. :( So... how do you take apart the lens to get inside without damage? I couldn't find info online... I now have a slightly damaged hx300 lens to dissect!
I have the same error in my DSC-HX400V after it was dropped! The disassembly process is ok for the tehical person but not the average person. So many screws to put in and where they go. Just too much!

Oh god am I ever pissed off, my camera was showing flashing error for stabilization cable, so I ordered a replacement from ebay for about 12 bucks, I just used your video for reference to disassemble. got down to the lens, took it out, started to take apart- no way to get into the lens! The cable disappears down inside, and I could find no way to open the lens, no screws to undo anywhere. As I was looking, I barely put any strain on the motor feed ribbon, and it cheesed right off! Now this part is also buggered up. the stabilization ribbon was already cheesed off inside the camera, causing the flashing error message, I found the break in the cable that came from regular use of the camera! Well this proved at least I had bought the right part. Sony!!!! wtf!? these things are made to last just long enough to get through the warranty most of the way, then the cheese starts falling apart! Worse yet, this lens has Carl Zeiss stamped on it. Surely there is a better way this could be done! A cheesy ribbon cable bends continuously every time you start and stop the camera, and the lens extends, every time you zoom, this is designed to fall apart... NOT HAPPY. Well, I can order a lens for around 50 bucks, actually a steal considering what it does, putting the lens on is child's play compared to trying to deal with the inside of the lens! Unfortunately, it will be the same lens, the same cheese! I'd guess that all these intermittent errors are a cable somewhere deep within the lens getting ready to cheese off once and for all...
Hey, where did you buy the ribbon flex cable? If you need help, I can help you to get into the lens. I ordered a ribbon cable titled "HX300V HX 400V' but that is not compatible with the HX400V. Hope you did get the right one.
Vi um video que pra tirar o modo erro de estabilização o famoso e 62 10 é simples sem precisar abrir ou perde tempo com manutenções com o cone de zoom pra fora vc retira a bateria aí é só da uns petelecos nos 4 lados to cone e pronto e 62 10 some sem gastar nada hehe desculpa ai o da eletronica quem me passo o macete foi os japoneses sempre esperto vamos economizar galera
Nem precisa amigo fácil só abrir o zoom dela no maximo tirar a bateria com o cone de zoom pra fora depois de uns petelecos umas batidinhas leve nos 4 cantos do cone e pronto erro de estabilização some sem gastar nada😀
