I am 75, born and raised in the N end of Idaho, not far from Spokane. I can remember some 36's flying over back in those days. THE SOUND. There is no other airplane that sounds like a 36
I grew up next Carswell AFB in the 1950-60 era. We would stand at the end of the runway when they were landing and feel the ground shake from their vibration as they passed over head.
Sorry I've been tardy and getting back. Carl flies it at most of the big warbird meets. I don't think the video gives you the full picture. Standing next to it and it is HUGE! I like the B-1B idea and know Carl checks out the comments. What do you say Carl? Check out his Flying Boxcar which I also did a video of. Happy New Year everybody and thanks for watching.
Am I right that all 6 engines spin in the same direction? Wouldn't it be more stable if one side spun one way and the other side the opposite? PS: this is AFAIK the only aircraft that ever dropped a thermonuclear device outside of a test, but they didn't actually mean to!
So sorry for the late reply. You are correct on the counter rotating props when the engines are in the front but in the back it makes no difference. Thanks for watching.
@pdiddy21154 Actually, it's not even close. The World record B-29, "Dina Might" has a wingspan of over 29 feet. It's in Belgium, where they don't have nearly as restrictive regulations that we have here in the US.
Please never let the legacy of this beautiful plane die, and please don’t let it be forgotten

Gosh this is beastiful thank you for showing the world this masterpiece
Thanks

This sure is a gorgeous bird you have here!
What a beautiful model.

It's beautiful,!!♥️
That was a great interview 5 stars
Amazing!!!! This is the closest this generation will ever get to seeing a B-36 fly. Wish I could see it up close.
Me too. Love seeing it fly and talking to Carl. Thanks for watching.
My grandfather flew the -36 for SAC-gorgeous (even if problematic) lady. Beautiful model.
Thanks for your comment and watching
When the plane is running through the grass, it shakes a lot... I think it can damege it, once it has 230 inches of wingspam!
Amazing plane!
Beautiful… how fun
I'll pass that on to Carl. Thanks for watching
That would be cool! Thanks for watching.
@amonomnom That would rock! I need to check in with him to see what he has up his sleeve this year. Thanks for watching.
Thanks so much for viewing it:)
It's a biggin:) Thanks for watching.
Now that would be cool Carl....expensive but cool:)
This is a B-36b early model Peacemaker. It did not have any jet engines. Later models were fitted with 4 jet engines.
To each his own. You should see it fly in person sometime. Thanks for watching.
Not really sure on the weight. Can't wait to see what he comes up with this year. Thanks for watching.
@yumyumsashimi That would be cool. Up soon will be the video I shot of his Flying Boxcar. That too was amazing!
I can't wait to see what he has coming next. Thanks for watching
The grass runway is as smooth as a putting green:) Thanks for watching.
@Hemmi117 Not sure but it's got to be close. Thanks for watching.
They were gas. Thanks for watching.

6 Gas engines on a RC!
Before the age of Drones and Self flying .
WOW
Great interview. I'm surprised that the plane does not have flaps. It appears to land very "hot" for such a large wing area. How much does it weigh?

If he put four ducted fans on it just like the later models of the B-36, I'd call him a master modeler (not that this doesn't qualify!)
Didn't the B-36 have six recipes and four jets? I saw several videos of such a bird. I'm guessing that must have been a later modification.
Think you’re right on that. Thanks for watching

i seen that plane today at warbirds of the midwest
brunomalachias,
"wingspam"???? Is that when someone is sending you unsolicited wings?
@pdiddy21154 correct me if I'm wrong,do I hear 6 four-stroke engines?
any chance of the owner putting the 4 jet engines on that bird?
incomplete.....the saying was 6 turning and 4 burning......the 4 burning are missing 4 jet engines on 2 pylons.
Lary Mayotte... This is the older B36 B model so there were no outboard jet engines.
what did he JUST SAY A 19ft wing SPAN!?!?
Would have been nice to actually hear it.
Not sure what you mean. Sound is just fine when I just played it.
It's all about cash:)
