Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Is Making The Clippers Regret The Paul George Trade

  • Paul George was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers by the Thunder for many picks & it includes star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. And in 2019, this trade shook up the entire NBA. Many thought that the Kawhi-PG Clippers were a shoo-in to win the NBA championship and that they would be a perennial playoff team. But unfortunately, with horrible upsets & major injuries, the Clippers never had luck on their side in the 3 years they've had this dynamic duo.
And today, with Shai looking better than Paul George, and with Kawhi still not playing games, the Clippers are starting to regret trading away Shai to get Paul George & Kawhi Leonard.

    • @Kodreanu23

@@tooforwon241 but if you say Thunder were the victors you are saying that Clippers shouldn't done the trade. But that's a "After the war everyone is the general" take.
The reality is that Clippers were never a desirable destination and haven't ever reached WCF let alone finals or title. They wanted to make an abrupt move to change the picture, put eggs in one basket and they had opportunity with Kawhi who at the moment just finished third best scoring playoffs ever (behind Jordan 93 and Lebron 2018). So when, if not then?
It didn't play out obviously, mostly because of Kawhi's health (if healthy I think they would take the title 2021).
So, to have this revisionist take is weak, my bro.
