0:50 is John Ogden who started the business in 1990, 32 years and busier than ever.. I handle all the Google Reviews for him and his lad Anthony, an amazing family run business..the seafood is as fresh as you can get with daily deliveries of fresh catch, often the creels are offloaded right next to the Shack and the shellfish offered for sale at that very moment, you really can't get fresher food..
Thank you for highlighting our wonderful fresh seafood. My dad regularly pops down to that place to pick up an assortment of things. Just Subbed! Your reviews are great. Look forward to more 👌
I have been there tons of times, anytime I am in Oban . Well anytime I am not too early getting the ferry to go to the island of Coll. It's why I can't understand why people only think of haggis and fryed food as scottish food. After all the sea is all around Scotland. My grandfather was a farmer on Coll. They had cows, sheep, hens , ducks and geese. So you did eat the livestock at times. There is deer in the hills etc. Plus seawed and shelfish to eat. Plus tons of tasty vegetables. Our country is so much more than fried foods. So pleased you checked it out.
I agree Lyndsey, Scotland really is so much more that fried mars bars and haggis! Unfortunately there is a problem of marketing here, I think the Scottish Government could invest more in promoting the food excellence of Scotland. Everyone in the world knows what an Angus burger is, few are aware that it comes from Aberdeen!
that seafood platter inspired me to go grab some seafood today haha. Also here before 1M views! You got a cool style of filming / cool to see more of Scotland
@@DanFandelli definitely into seafood, I’m from Hampshire but moved to Scotland 5 years ago. The local seafood it too for flavour and freshness. Just need to find somewhere like this that sells it can be hard x

The man who ran it died a while back

One of the few things Scotland does well now is seafood.
