KONE Polaris Elevators @ Newport Gateway Towers, Irvine, CA

Recently, there has been a trend on Instagram where people can suggest elevator enthusiasts where they should travel next. Well consider Irvine, CA because not only does it have Mitsubishi DOAS, its got a nice Polaris in an Irvine Company office building. These used to be Montgomery and it got modded in circa 2015. The elevators run really well and the architecture of the buildings’ interior and exterior is amazing! I got more videos of cool elevators in Irvine so stay tuned!

Maybe. I've only seen NATO alphabet being used in California. Compass and Polaris in fact.

In fact, even if the display shows "floor 14", it's floor 13 for real; that's why the voice box said "floor 13".
Some places omits the 13th floor because of triskaidekaphobia (fear of number 13) like in East Asia they avoid floor 4th (and floors ending in "4") because of tetraphobia (fear of number 4) because there "4" sounds like "death". Also, in Italy they can avoid the 17 because in roman numerals is XVII, an anagram of "VIXI" (I lived)...

Ah. Much better than the one in Hong Kong. It has no handicap mode for Ground Floor, generic chimes, Dewhurst buttons and just KSS 670 indicator mounted in a KDS 330 indicator.

Oof. I guess HK doesn't specialize in KONE as much as USA. But I prefer the scrolling arrow than the solid one! So that's a plus for HK installations.
