I just discovered you somehow…following links upon links at 2 am. I don’t sleep well. And I’m so happy that I did. I love your poetry and your delivery. I can’t wait to hear more, until I can get my hands on a copy of one ( or more) of your books. I heard you read your poem The Queen is not Your Grandma. Brilliant! The day Diana died was also the day one of my colleague’s husband died. With no fanfare. He was a London bus driver. They were working class people, whose council flat was too small so their daughter had to sleep in the living room. Good people, hard working people. He had a heart attack and was gone equally unexpectedly..to no fanfare. It bothered me so much at the time. And I always thought there was a poem in it ( maybe I drafted it just now- haha!). But you have nailed it with your poem about the queen. As for your poem about your daughter. Just beautiful. I wanted her to stay aged 3 or 4 forever. But my friend said, every stage is amazing. I couldn’t believe it at the time. But of course she was right. She is 16 now and every stage has been amazing…. and terrifying and hair-greying and exciting and beautiful. So I sent her the link to this and hope she will enjoy it as much as I did. ❤

I was doing research on Nottingham poets and comic poetry for my monthly article in the Mansfield, Ashfield and Sherwood News Journal when I came across your RUclips channel. You and your writing are both unique, your delivery superb. Well done.

You are a genius sweetheart! I enjoyed the poems you shared here about the day you gave birth and your daughter growing up is exquisite. Also the poem you did about breast milk “embarrassed” is outstanding. I heard i about it from the Birth Bliss Doula Academy Course. You are making an impact, thank you❤

This had me laughing so much in Faversham. My wife always says about the "ring of fire". Certainly an important day in your life but a terrifying one for sure.

I've always felt exactly the same! I was terrified when I was a new mum, hardest time of my life. Now I've got four girls and everyone is so negative "just wait till they're all teenagers" :/ I tell my teen to read Slug ALL THE TIME :)
