- The Enjoy Illinois 300 was a very long race, as there was a rain delay that last over an hour and a half. The race also featured 11 cautions, with over six drivers not finishing the race. To start things off, Kyle Busch won Stage 1. It was as his first Stage win of the season. Then Ryan Blaney continued his success from last week in Charlotte and won Stage 2. It was his second stage win of the season. After going through multiple restarts and going into overtime, Kyle Busch collected his 63rd career Cup Series victory. Kyle Busch's win at the World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway was his third win of the season.

What was your favorite moment from the Enjoy Illinois 300 Highlights?
Not wasting my money on cable/satellite to watch the entire race when I can get the highlights for free.
My Favorite part is where the commentators kept counting Kyle Busch out hyping up Hamlin and MTJ and when they realized he was going to win the started acting as if they knew it all along.

He's second only to Richard Petty for the most all time wins. Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon didn't run the X-finity or truck races.

These brake rotors might be something we have to watch out for at Pocono. Long straights and hard braking, just at much higher speed than Gateway

Pocono is scary, I don't want another driver get hurt as Kurt the last year.
Pocono has probably had more serious injuries occur there than any other track. Indycars stopped racing there because of safety concerns.

Im going to say that im in the same spot as you. Hated him now i love him. He grew up over the years and i guess i can say the same for myself. Heard a lot of cheers when he got put of the car. Cant say i heard any boos. Happy for him. JGR’s Loss was RC’s gain. Think KB has more wins this year then the entire JGR organization if im not mistaken. Probably should have won the 500 to.
I'm right there with you. He's become one of the best all time drivers in the nascar series. He's won over 200 races on the nascar circuit Cup, X-finity, and truck series.

Joe Gibbs Racing was a different, toxic environment. It was an arrogant environment. Sometimes dirty racing that will get you parked. So glad Kyle got out and got a fresh start. His attitude changed, and is more honest about himself.

Plot twist: actually the failures are being caused by 1:1 "fake rotors"
Apparently they have heavy and light duty rotors and they can adjust the air flow to them. Some teams probably went for something different and it cost them.
Kyle is just the greatest there is.

Same here. I don't have cable, so I watched Indy as well. Fox and NBC has and will restrict their audience at least by half if they put on a cable channel.

Or maybe let them boys have at it at the shop like the old days and let them fabricate their own cars from ground up. If they are able to do 1:1 counterfeit parts, I'm sure they are able to build them cars.
So if I understand correctly, they go straight and fast on the straight sections, and left and fast on the curved section, while making sure not to drive into someone else ?
Quite interesting that four cars blown out the right front tire at the exact same place.
Not a tire, carbon fiber brake rotor destabilized. Front right; they take more, it is the fastest area on the track going for the slowest corner and they start to turn in - pow! One of them said it came through the hood.

I’d be curious to see if those failures were all of the same rotor thickness or if those teams chose the thinner rotors to save weight.
Pocono is a racers track..a real driver will make it happen there. They learned from othet tracks. So they now got some knowlege on what the brake rotors can take.
Can we get a better driver for the 3 car?

If watch the race several times you can hear Mike joy calling the race like he's reading a script. The 15 car stops 10 seconds go by and joy already has the reason why the 15 stop, and the car is still sitting on the track! The race legitimacy goes out the window! I quit watching, son and wife watch sometimes! The whole race only has meaning in the last 2 laps!

Probably the worst Nascar Cup Race I’ve seen for ages. The first time I’ve switched the TV off before end race. Nascar should
be a bit more selective when employing the safety car. Who wants 150 re-starts just because a car is out away, out of anybody’s harms way. No one! It kills races like this.
