What a little horse. I got to see him in elliots yard a few months ago it's amazing to see how small he is and be able to win so many races over the jumps 👏
We all have to admit how this horse has now made history this with his third (I think) win at The Grand National this year. The second time in around 45 years since the amazing Red Rum. At only 15.2hh tall with the oldest jockey he has brought home another trophy for the team that keep him running, Gordon Ellliot and Davy Russell! Incredible!
I backed Pleasant Company at 33-1 to win and each way, no complaints though, David Mullins gave him a peach of a ride, he pinged every fence, and seemed to love it, just ran out of steam towards the end, but then that late surge, and he rallied again, one more stride, and he would of nailed Russell and Tiger Roll, but that's the ups and downs of the national. Davey Russell is no doubt one of the best, if not the best National hunt jockey around today, also dedicating his win to the great Pat Smullen.
Well done Tiger Roll and Davy Russel Great race The makers of ITV Virual Grand National 2018 must have a Big! smug smile oh their faces, after Tiger Roll won the Virual race and the real race.
Best finisher I ever saw in the national was Neptune collonges who got up on the line with a sustained run from the last fence, the fact that I backed him at 50/1 made it even better ( finished the 33/1 winner) only had 4th and 5th this year ew but still won a few quid
Bro no. Just no. They wanna be with those other horses and he is running away from his jockey. Horse races need to stop. They are getting so much horses killed with these races🤷🏼♀️
Tough little horse, brilliant training performance from Elliott and well done to Davy Russell top jockey and to dedicate it to Pat Smullen what a great touch...
I backed Tiger Roll that year and the following year when he won again. I remember the year before in 2017 I was going to back One For Aruthur, who won, but I didn't as going was soft and he didn't like that but he still won. The owners said afterwards that they were surprised he won as they didn't think he'd like the going. When I backed Tiger Roll the going was heavy and I knew he didn't like heavy going but I remembered not backing One For Arthur the year before because of the going and I wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. Thank you Tiger Roll, although he almost gave me a heart attack with that finish.😁
I backed the 2nd horse but I was kind of happy I lost,,delighted for Davy Russell,he's had a tough time lately in his private life and deserves every bit of good fortune that now comes his way.

My Granddad said I could bet on 2 but I decided I wanted it all on Tiger Roll, and I'm glad I followed my heart.
Another victory for Ireland in this signature race and it went to a Cheltenham Festival regular. What a season also for jockey and trainer. The eventual runner up came back like a train but not enough.

It's a sad fact of racing but thankfully a small number, reducing all the time. I'd like to know more about what happens to ex-racehorses, especially the ones who don't make the grade or go to stud. well what can you say truly amazing and a great back story too absolutely remarkable feat and wonderful to see it seems this team has a thing about winning nationals lol :D but let me put this the following because it's amazing Tiger Roll, by 2007 Epsom Derby winner Authorized out of Swiss Roll, was foaled 14 March 2010. He is a bay gelding with a white star and, at 15.2 hands, is small for a racehorse. He was bred in Ireland by Gerry O’Brien and bought as a foal by Godolphin for 70,000 guineas at Tattersalls. I don't think it was Saint Are that had the screen around him. If you watch when he comes down at 4:32, he gets back up and continues to follow them back around the course (he's the darker horse). He then falls again at what is the first jump at 5:40 (he's the very last horse to jump) but he can be seen on screen getting back up. We don't see him again after that but the group gets waved around the 5th jump which is straight ahead from where we last saw Saint Are. In theory, Saint Are would still be right behind the group, if he even to continued to run at all. Obviously he was injured at some point :( but that's not him behind the screen...
The screens were put around an injured jockey. They are used for privacy reasons when you see them most of the time these days. All jockeys and horses returned ok in the end from this race.

I went eachway bless the wings 100-1 and ramses de telliee eachway. I aint doing 3.5/1 on tiger roll who aint gonna win.... even if he does its not much of a prize ;/
Too much weight - Jury Duty this year.
Happened ☺️
@@josh1410 It certainly did. I was wrong. He looked even better than last year. Wonderful performance. Kept on the inside the whole way to run the shortest distance.
Davy Russle will go down has one of the great jockeys he up there with John Velazquez
slipknot00010 luckily tiger roll held on...or else Davy Russell would probably of punched it as his done before.
I wouldn't like to see John Velazquez on a horse in national lol
That 4th steward at the first fence was half asleep wasn't he?!! The race starts and he casually walks towards to the railings and then thinks...'I better get a move on out of the way'.......yeah no shit sherlock!!!
The greatest horse race in the world!!
I had Ucello Conti in my favorite race of the year.
I’ve backed that numpty the last 4 years, he never does anything haha
I betted 125 pounds each way on tiger roll. Made 1600 + the 125 back. From the offer
think yer telling porky pies 125 ew at the worse price he was 10/1 returns you 1750 11/1 pays 1968.75 12/1 pays u 2125. so on best price on day was 14/1 which pays u 2437.5 o on less the bookie rob ye pinocchio ;-)
I got a special 16/1 offer from SkyBet, did £1 each way on Tiger Roll, won £21.20. :)
The horse is strong with this one...
great race , the second was put in front to early for me like.
...won the virtual national too...what a double.....
What a great day! Who had their money on tiger roll?
We had loads of clients attending this festival using our race day minibus hire services
You’ll never beat the irish no matter what you do 🎵 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
So weird. If the race was 10yards longer, Tiger Roll would not be in the history books.
Good horses
Won money in Tiger in this national, dunno why I didn’t stick with him this year. Rule one if a horse makes you money bet on him next time. Worked for Oscar time
lovly race nice
Great race but very brutal on the jocks and horses. Wonder what the odds were on T Roll?
10/1. I had £20 E/W on it.
THIS MUST BE FORBITTEN!! IT IS CRUEL, IT IS UNBELIEVABLE, IT IS PAINFUL, IT IS DISGUSTING AND ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUS !!!! open your eyes ppl! We have to stop it for those beautiful and amazing animals!!!! Can't you feel them suffering!? Them screaming to stopp it!? Them falling to the ground because of absolute exhaustion!! STOP IT!!
well your watching it Eileen?
Good job by the rider by waving the horses around Bechers Brook
I used to call that "the staggers" at Yonkers.
MY HORSE WON YAY
Didnt think I would get the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner and Grand National winner in 1 season :)
Nice one
Had €50 e/w on tiger roll, €820 return, happy days
Congrats!
I was given Pleasant Company as a tip about 8 weeks ago, so I had £10 ew at 50/1
£18 e/w returned £351 - get in you beauty!!! Never won the big race
Tiger Roll - The New Red Rum - I can see him winning again and again.
Tiger roll seemed to be running away with it at the elbow, The 2nd horse was gaining but Tiger Roll held on to win.
Rain can be very wet.
What happened at Beeches Brook first time round course. You don't put a screen round a jockey. There is an ambulance and ambulance car right their!! If I am wrong then I apologise.
They put the screen up for one of the horses that went down, in case it had to be put down.
Danielle Parkinson
It was actually for a jockey
Annabelle flys was so close to win
Great day won loads
a race that almost resembles a grand national, better than the 2017 bore
...why miss out Bechers second time...still half a fence there to jump......any excuse to miss out a fence......
its the most famous fence in the world and they miss it cos a jockeys nursing a bruise
shaun spadah give over yourself you stupid fool it's for safety so you'd rather see them take a risk of a loose horse running through the screens and causing more harm it's not just a bruise it could be more serious you have to take precautions in case it's serious jockeys have been injured and moving them could be dangerous
they should have jumped that fence, they could have cordened of half of the fence and theres still plenty of room for 20 odd horses to jump bechers on the outside , a loose horse is never gonna jump a fence thats blocked off,
shaun spadah so you are saying no fences should be avoided in any race whether there's a horse or jockey injured?
So i think the ruk commentators for the grand national 2019 might be stewart machin simon holt and darren owen please☺
