What a terrible interviewer. She did well not to tell him to shut up and the woman firing questions in the background was totally unnecessary. The lady told her story very bravely and did not need the interviewer at all. Wonderful lady.

Yes, lady in background very annoying firing things for Michael to ask her, maybe she wanted to do the interview. First time I heard that in all the testimonies I've listened to.

These interviewers are horrible but try to remind yourself they're just trying to get all the information documented... Yes the actual presentations come off bad......even worse than this one...

Where on earth do the shoah foundation staff members find these people to interview the precious survivors. The survivors should be treated with the upmost respect and compassion. Let them talk and say what they want to say. Don't they realize that the survivors went through something so traumatic and unforgivable. How many people do we know of that goes through something like this. Treat them well. And it should be a honor to be in the presence of the survivors!

    • @sabreecarpenter4285

Very well stated. Poor thing, I was wondering what was going through her mind, when cranky background lady would ask Michael to ask her a question, it ruined the flow of the interview. I believe a couple times, Michael ignored crazy background lady.

The barely audible woman’s voice way guiding the male interviewer where to ask crucial Holocaust Testimony detail questions, all Survivor Testimonies must include dates, last names since hundreds of thousands of these Testimonies have crucial historic value.
The Survivors were always explained this beforehand so they understood and were not offended.

Magda gave a very good, thoroughly informative testimony. She was one strong young lady, strong of will and spirit to endure everything she was subject to, including the beatings along with starvation and other torments.. and tortures. I felt so bad for her and how she seemed to be the main person of the worse of their jailers (the more psychotic ones), who singled her out for their hatred and beatings. I know she wasn't the only one going through this, but it seemed she was singled out more often and worse than others at times. Thank God she had the grit and will to survive everything, and also to start her new family and have a long, good, and happy life. God knows she deserved it. Bless her and her family.

In Marine Corps Boot Camp we were put in cattle cars to go to the chow hall at the next door Naval base or when We went to the range and it’s not cause they didn’t have buses it’s because it was efficient to move large amounts of Marines……while standing in those cattle cars (cause you weren’t allowed to sit) the first thing I thought of was Is this legal? Is there no thought at what this symbolizes? Guess not.

Her testimony is so important. The part about the vegatable garden key. About the quotas. On how antisemism grew even more after the Nazi army invaded Hungary. The jewlery cavity search made me cry. I have listened to many testimonies but I still cannot understand. How could the Germans and the Hungarians commit such atrocities against Jewish Hungarians and look in the mirror every day.
The pain of not being able to hug her father goodbye when being taken to Auschwitz.

These people were treated worse than animals are treated ever and in the United States. It's a shame before our Lord God and there's a judgment and we're all going to stand for the Living God to answer and receive payment for what we have done.😢 that's a sure thing whether you believe it or not won't change it❤
