What a terrible interviewer. She did well not to tell him to shut up and the woman firing questions in the background was totally unnecessary. The lady told her story very bravely and did not need the interviewer at all. Wonderful lady.
Yes, lady in background very annoying firing things for Michael to ask her, maybe she wanted to do the interview. First time I heard that in all the testimonies I've listened to.
These interviewers are horrible but try to remind yourself they're just trying to get all the information documented... Yes the actual presentations come off bad......even worse than this one...
Where on earth do the shoah foundation staff members find these people to interview the precious survivors. The survivors should be treated with the upmost respect and compassion. Let them talk and say what they want to say. Don't they realize that the survivors went through something so traumatic and unforgivable. How many people do we know of that goes through something like this. Treat them well. And it should be a honor to be in the presence of the survivors!
Very well stated. Poor thing, I was wondering what was going through her mind, when cranky background lady would ask Michael to ask her a question, it ruined the flow of the interview. I believe a couple times, Michael ignored crazy background lady.
Not only were the constant interruptions unpleasant, the woman's voice in the background directing the young man's questioning wasn't that great either.
The barely audible woman’s voice way guiding the male interviewer where to ask crucial Holocaust Testimony detail questions, all Survivor Testimonies must include dates, last names since hundreds of thousands of these Testimonies have crucial historic value. The Survivors were always explained this beforehand so they understood and were not offended.

I usually don’t comment on these videos. So much respect for this brave and wonderful survivor. I felt so much was taken away from the interview by the person in the background. Very cold and rude. Ditch this format of interviewing please!
This woman's story runs into the factory where Schindler made a speech and she was in the room with one of his speeches and she didn't even know the Schindler's list story
The stories never talk about sunday. They could play soccer or do a kraft project. Red Cross said food was plentiful. 20,000 care packages per day. Candy , cookies were sent.
I've watched many many interviews from the Holocaust survivors produced by different Jewish societies.. this interviewer is one of the best.... Truthfully it's true
I was one of the first researchers to ever lead team of forensic experts and engineers to inspect the camps and do a forensic report on the findings. We also surveyed the site called Treblinka.
The only problem was the voice directing the interviewer could be heard. I have seen very bad interviewers. He is not bad compared to many others. There was a time constraint he had no say over.
Magda gave a very good, thoroughly informative testimony. She was one strong young lady, strong of will and spirit to endure everything she was subject to, including the beatings along with starvation and other torments.. and tortures. I felt so bad for her and how she seemed to be the main person of the worse of their jailers (the more psychotic ones), who singled her out for their hatred and beatings. I know she wasn't the only one going through this, but it seemed she was singled out more often and worse than others at times. Thank God she had the grit and will to survive everything, and also to start her new family and have a long, good, and happy life. God knows she deserved it. Bless her and her family.
In Marine Corps Boot Camp we were put in cattle cars to go to the chow hall at the next door Naval base or when We went to the range and it’s not cause they didn’t have buses it’s because it was efficient to move large amounts of Marines……while standing in those cattle cars (cause you weren’t allowed to sit) the first thing I thought of was Is this legal? Is there no thought at what this symbolizes? Guess not.
Her testimony is so important. The part about the vegatable garden key. About the quotas. On how antisemism grew even more after the Nazi army invaded Hungary. The jewlery cavity search made me cry. I have listened to many testimonies but I still cannot understand. How could the Germans and the Hungarians commit such atrocities against Jewish Hungarians and look in the mirror every day. The pain of not being able to hug her father goodbye when being taken to Auschwitz.
These people were treated worse than animals are treated ever and in the United States. It's a shame before our Lord God and there's a judgment and we're all going to stand for the Living God to answer and receive payment for what we have done.😢 that's a sure thing whether you believe it or not won't change it❤
Kind sweet lady. I love her voice. Rest in Peace sweet lady. 🌸

It was 1991!
That Interviewer wish he would stop interrupting .. let the lady finish her story
It's not story time it is the recording of a testimony. The interviewer is asking questions for a reason.

Anyone who can sleep in -30 F temp with no blanket is a tough hombre. She did it for weeks at a time. imagine that.
Lovely lady of faith and courage. The interviewer was very good in helping her bring out her story thank you
When this wonderful woman at the end told the interviewer that her husband had a stroke he did not express any sympathy.

Maybe next time give the survivor the mic we don't really care about the questions we come to hear their stories

Magda should have been allowed to tell her story her own way
I wish the interviewer had given the lady more time at the end.
It was terrible that she had to go through so much suffering.
Very good interviewer.
This is a life lesson, God bless you. Magda🌞
This precious woman deserved a better interview for sure. She gracefully told her story anyway. God Bless her and her family 💔❤️🩹❤️🕊️

Enjoyed this testament but that lady's voice coming through the interviewers mic was annoying
Yes, quite annoying. Barking out questions.
I hate when the interviewer rushes the survivor
Me too!
Soo wrong on so many ways !!!

Another interviewer who interrogates. Very unpleasant and cold.
I totally agree with that,
I think the interrogator is the irritating control freak in his ear-piece.
@@jmckendrick165I know right ? Sounds like she wanted to ask the questions.

Background lady annoying, and why so rushed at the end ? Was Background lady late for something ?
