Nass, Hi My friend. Love this! Another fantastic video by you. I am interested in History. Some Chinese men here are still wearing pigtails which was forced on them by the emperor. But at around 1912 the Qing dynasty ended and many Asian male students were going west to America and Europe to study and they did not wear pigtails much anymore.
Historically speaking, India and China were always worlds apart when it came to culture , customs and the high order of society fed by discipline and a strong work ethos.
Hello blogger, thank you for letting me watch this video. It's like a dream. I come from China and to be honest, I don't like modern times. I want to go back to the past when the pace of life was slow and happy. The development is too fast now, and the pressure is too great. Everyone is making progress. You can't slack off because you won't be able to keep up with the development of the times. When I was a child in the 1990s, although I was poor, I was happy. Now, although living conditions have improved, I am not happy
This is a rather incredible restoration-many thanks for your efforts! This period was but a scant 75 or so years after the Opium Wars of the late 1830s-early 1840s whereby the Qing Dynasty fell into disarray, formerly enjoying one of its most prosperous periods of China’s long history. The Forbes family and others from Great Britain and the U.S. profited immensely from performing as drug peddlers writ large. To this day, China is still trying to recover its former glory, and the actions then of the West in essence was indirectly responsible for the ushering in of autocratic rule and the era of Mao Zedong in 1949.
@ One of the comments criticized you for inserting sounds into the video. I disagree completely. The sounds are very realistic and help to bring the video to life!

There are fewer than 1,000 individuals remaining in their native range in the Gobi Desert in northern China and Mongolia - making them the eighth most endangered large mammal in the world.

I'm not an expert but I did take Chinese History in college in the 1970s. Peking and Shanghai were Mercantilist trading centers. Significant British Empire influence. This film is just before the postWWI upheavals. Mao Tse Tung came to power and the Communists defeated the Nationalists in 1949 with the last few Nationalists fleeing to Formosa (Taiwan). The Chinese Communist Party doesn't recognize the Taiwanese state and threatens reunification by force. I wonder if the people seen smoking here are smoking Opium. The two Opium Wars with the British were historically significant. Some think the modern day export of precursor chemicals for Fentanyl is a way of payback to the West for the Opium issues of the past.
