I started laughing when you used the Press n Seal, my cat thought she’d help me craft and stepped on the Press n Seal- looked like she’d stepped in fly paper. Has kept her from raiding my craft table to play with my supplies as her play toys.
What an AMAZING batch of cards. I love them! I love all the debt in the balloons and omg those paper pieced ones are so, so.... Perfect.... Really Amy, these are Fabulous. And not just for teenagers. I wouldn't mind to get one like these. They are super fun!, 👍👌❣️
The non-floral and non-cutesy elude me, too. Thanks for sharing this design! I make a lot of birthday cards for teens, men and women and this is the kind of design that would allow me to make a bunch and send them to everyone on the list!
I've just now started to work in batches and I love it. Even if I don't get the entire lot done in one sitting, I know it's going to be there when I can back to it and pick up right where I left off. Love all that you were able to accomplish! Those dies are adorable and may or may not be in my basket, lol.
Love these cards and the black on the outside of the dies really made them shine. Thanks so much for the great ideas. Yes, sometimes we need cards like this.
I love them! While you use your many reverse tweezers, I use mini clothes pins. Not the tiny ones but one that are sized between the tiny and regular. I'm not a huge floral person so these cards are right up my alley. Tfs! I always enjoy watching you create.
I really like these cards. I always batch/compartment make cards because I'm generally making 10 or more. It's so much more efficient to do it that way. Thanks for letting us see behind the curtain at your thought process and your making process.
And … fun fact … I had just ordered and received a set of multi-shaped balloon dies for birthday cards. Now, you’ve given me lots of ideas to begin using them - thanks so much!
No matter what I plan things evolve. It’s rarely exactly what my brain started with. Glad you mentioned that. I was feeling guilty for not sticking to THE PLAN.
Full disclosure: Jennifer McGuire found and advertised to her fairly large audience on RUclips that Pressnseal could be used for this crafty purpose. Her husband created Pressnseal.
I love these cards! The ink smooshing made such beautiful, textured color and made the balloons so much more interesting than a flat color would have. The balloon bouquets are so cute and the black spLatter looked really good with all of the blackened edges. Thank you for explaining your process. The batch approach makes it less intimidating.
These cards are ADORABLE!!! I love the ink smooshing with both the subtle and vibrant colors. Press n' Seal is a great tip! I also like to make multiple cards in many individual steps. Thank you for the inspiration ❤️
Love these cards! They are super fun without being too “cutesy”. Especially loved the smooshed colors on the balloons. Great idea with the press n seal! 💡
Love these cards!! So fun and colorful and perfect for birthday cards for a wide range of ages! Such a great idea to make these cards in batches! Thank you for this video and inspiration!!
Love this cards! I just finished watching your Honey Bee stamp video with the fishing lures and the Simon Hurley pastes. But I don't have this pastes, so why not ink smoothing? It looks so relaxing ,and you do show it really well how it should be done. Thanks for this!
Love these! I have some dies, and I can try and reproduce this. I will have to look up what string you used, though, I have never seen any kind of black cording.
Love these! Question; I have in my cart to buy the Tim Holtz Tonic Replacement Non-Stick Mat For Glass Media Mat that you used in, " Lot's of Candles" video. Is this one basically the same as the one you mention here? I love ink smooching, it's new to me. Thank you!!!
the one I used here is the same surface - only difference is this one is a little bigger (and there's an even bigger one that I've used in other videos) and it has the weighted corners. But the non-stick surface etc is the exact same
I try to respond as often as I can to comments - I don't see everything (the algorithms and gremlins make things appear and disappear in my feeds and it drives me insane) but I try! At the very least I try to "heart" all the comments so that people know I do see and read them ;)
Fun and pretty cards!! I have a question... I am heading up a birthday club at my work office. We anticipate 16-20 people participating. I am contemplating making the cards vs. buying them. The most I would have to make in one month is 4 cards (currently with the staff we have), and there are about 3 months where there are no birthdays. I have already put out a survey about preferences: colors (primary, pastel, warm, cool) and styles (ex: traditional, nature, elegant, patterns). Do you have any suggestions for making the cards? I currently have a limited traditional birthday assortment of images and sentiments.
I didn’t read all the comments, so I don’t know if someone else mentioned this or not but I’m not sure how you made the balloons with the stripes. I saw that the dies cut out circles and stars, but I didn’t see any dies that were cutting out stripes, and if there was, how did you get different colors behind it or on it?

I like your hair down Amy!!! Loving your tutorials- btw on the winter mug die- is that a little ghost included??? Lol
the sets show what dies are included
I guess what I meant to say- is that a ghost or something else??
Love these! I have some dies, and I can try and reproduce this. I will have to look up what string you used, though, I have never seen any kind of black cording.
Those balloons are so cute! I love them! I also love that create neon sign you have back there. Where did you find it?
ordered it from Michaels (with a coupon of course) ;)

I give all my tips and tricks in this video and in all the other videos that I make multiples in - aka doing everything in batches.
Very cool cards! Who would have thought that a card with a balloon bouquet didn't have to look "cute"! These cards are good for anyone. TFS!

showed it in the video and talked about it - one of the dies cuts them into stripes
at the 7:50 mark
We had a renovation recently and now I can't find my Press n Seal! Have to buy another I guess.
it's a must-have in the craft supplies!!
Love this video!!! Is distress ink better to use on this than distress oxide-?
either one - they'll just give different looks :)
Love these cards!
Love these cards 🎉
