I liked the One Day bit that Alisa and Lynese did that was funny when Alisa started to laugh as she was trying to say her line, and you could hear Lynese laughing in the background, that had me on the floor laughing. Too funny.
7:01 I’m glad this introduction is part of your collection. Zoe is the only one in season 2 who didn’t introduce a 2-person zinger, and there aren’t any with her in the stuff Kris and other users have uploaded. Kris didn’t even have this in his uploads from the episode.
You seem pretty knowledgeable about this! Do you know if they reprise the “story with another persons hands” like they do in this Zoomplayhouse in other episodes
I do remember the "One Day" skit. It was previously on an episode of Sharon Lois and Bram's Elephant Show. It was on an episode called "Duet Show". We had the episodes taped but unfortunately was lent to a neighbor for their daughter (never returned it, and moved away long ago). Never knew most of this season is lost media.
Kris's upload of the theme song is from this episode given the ZOOMGuest clips shown. And it looks like a pretty old recording, at latest from the summer 2000 loop. Since at least one ZOOMGuest is from season 2 (the one in 204), my guess is they actually did film most of season 2's ZOOMGuests in 1998.
I noticed that one of the kids in the Zoops segment is also shown at the beginning of 137. Which makes me wonder if maybe Rachel got a Zoops at some point.
12:13 There was an an old lady from Decatur She thought she’d sing in the theater The poor little thing She got up to sing And got hit in the eye with a tomater.
David Sukenick Yes, but Gelatin Molds was his absolute classic to me, like dirt pudding was gor David, apple crisp was for Kenny, chocolate bowls were for Kaleigh, and so on.
+David Sukenick I think my favorite for Kenny was 231. It was like the smoothies one for Jared in that it had three parts and ended with some of the other ZOOMers coming in to try it.
What a great last solo segment for Jared to have on the show. I'm glad he got one more on Party With ZOOM, though. Watching his last solo segment is sad, and while I obviously never saw the Party With ZOOM one I'm sure I saw this one, so I want to be able to enjoy it.
I don't even remember that. Because I barely taped season 1 when it was on and the one episode that I did got taped over by the time I returned to watching ZOOM, I don't really have any memories of it. Dirt Pudding stuck with me since it was one of the first things I ever saw---I saw 102 in early 1999, before I even started watching ZOOM. So when I watched season 1 in late 1999, I recognized it. Also, since it's in Fun With Friends.
Everyone but Lynese introduced a zinger in your season one episodes. Jared, Zoe, and Alisa introduced two, David and Keiko introduced one and Pablo introduced three (four if you count 136).
I like the ending to Jared's Cafe ZOOM in this remastered version better than the original. I don't know why WGBY didn't air the original, but until I see what was changed I consider this better.
Her stuff in season 2 is good but there's nothing that quite stands above the rest. 236 would be if the pinata was the shape of something I liked. As it is it's still very good.
David Sukenick I know. It's killing me not knowing more about this season, even after so long. I'm getting really impatient with KrisTheKnight. I've tried to piece together his videos the best I can but he hasn't responded to me in over two months.
@@Asukenick Keiko and Pablo were my favorites from Season 1. I don’t know why I like them, but I somehow feel like they’re the most sophisticated and crafty.
Adam Sukenick Oh yeah. Now I remember. I also like “Crime Just Doesn’t Pay” from 140, “No Such Thing As Monsters” from 201, “You Must Pay the Rent” from 209 and “Old MacDonald’s Farm” from 403.
I read that Jared and Alisa did a zinger like this one, except it asks how to connect nine dots without taking the pen off the page or using more than four strokes. I wonder if I ever saw it?
Some of the episodes run undertime, even WGBY ones like this. And then there's the different ending of the gelatin molds Cafe ZOOM...could something have permanently been removed after 2001?
So as far as the ZOOMalongs in the missing episodes go, I know for sure that 106 is the water and balloon trick, 111 is magnet hands, 113 is the paper worm, 116 is the door trick, 129 is the flying trick, and 136 is the paper helicopter. I’m also guessing that Jared and Lynese did one in 105, Pablo, Jared and Zoe has their solos is 107, 118 and 120, Jared and Keiko maybe had one in 123, the 3-person penny one was 125, Lynese had a second solo in 127, and hoop glider was 133. Assuming there were 18 and half of them had introductions, everyone could have introduced one.
Lynese, Alisa, Aline, Maya, Emily and Shing are the only female ZOOMers not to be in the last ZMail during their time on the show. David, Jared, Claudio and Francesco are the only male ZOOMers who were in the last ZMail during their time on the show.
A pretty mixed episode. Here's my breakdown: First zinger: A nice zinger but nothing special. I didn't like that Keiko had her jacket off for it. Cafe: A classic cafe although it's sad to watch as it's Jared's last solo segment. 😞 Second zinger: A simple challenge but it was nice seeing Lynese and Zoe work together a final time. ZMail: Pretty short. Not a fan of David being in it but I'm glad Keiko and Jared got a final ZMail here. Poem: Such a beautiful poem, one of my favorites. Lynese and Keiko did a great job reading it. ZOOMAlong: Haven't really watched it but I'm glad Alisa got the last one. Even if it's simple it's still cute and a great last solo segment for her this year. Third zinger: A weak zinger but at least it had a good choice of ZOOMers. And I'm glad Jared got to introduce his last one. Ubbi dubbi: A great end to the weather skit series. Sci report: I wish David didn't do it. Play: Weird and lame. Poor Alisa. Overall, a nice mix of the good, the great, and the"...eh".
I think Jared's Cafe ZOOMs were aired in the order they were filmed. His voice sounds the lowest in this one and maybe a tad higher during the pretzels than the smoothies.
Harry Engel ZOOMFan1 saw that episode but had to tape over it due to a glitch in the tape. He never got the chance to re-record it because it never aired again afterwards.
