You made me cry again. As the years go by, and my beauty fades, and those shining moments when I felt like a princess, just like you did when that man told you how beautiful you looked in your dress and long gloves. Sigh. We can’t get our youth back, but our voices are softer, our hearts are more tender, and the lives we’ve touched are a little better. Much love and blessings to you dear Pat. You are sooo special. Please don’t ever stop sharing these things.
Hi Grandma, you look so pretty in your green blouse and glasses, thank you for showing all the beauty items and also for the history behind them, have a wonderful evening,God bless🤗💜
Hi Pat, What precious treasures you have. All very rare today. I was in the Antique business for over 40 years so I have seen many antiques have gone to many good antique auctions back when you could get real antiques, those days are gone. I wish I had some of the things I have sold. You have some of the best items throughout your home, I appreciate seeing all of your treasures and your great stories as always. You are a treasure yourself! keep the stories coming I love them all. ❤
I agree with the lady commenting below who said things were better quality back in the day. Even vehicles seem to be made to break down now. Everything is plastic. I had to replace my radiator, and was shocked to discover it's made from plastic. I love how you've cherished and cared for your sentimental items. They're all lovely. I actually remember using "Mum" deodorant.
I can't even tell you in words how awesome you look in green glasses with that shirt!! 😍 You look so pretty in this video. Love to you from Illinois, always!❤
Just loved how they wore their hair with the snoods back in the 40's. So classy! Never knew what the nets were called though. It's sad that we now see people wearing their pajamas to the store. Back then you dressed up as much as possible to go out and be seen. Boy, those were the days!!
And even your first evening bag! And compact. You are making me long for such days. Pat, what would we do without you?? Who would tell us about these things AND show us too? In such a soft voice, full of intrigue and love for your beautiful things. What would we do without you, dear dear Pat. God bless you richly.
Beautiful remembrance and it made me cry. In my minds eye, I could see you on the staircase and see you in your dress. Beautiful, beautiful! I too love the glove era😇
Ms. Pat, I have just found your channel , recently & I have been “ binge watching” your videos to “ get acquainted “ with you. I am 82, so I can easily relate to many of your collection items,& to your kitchen ways. You are a beautiful lady,& have a personality equally as beautiful. I believe GOD had a hand in me finding your channel. It is like meeting a new friend❗️I glanced at your video list, it will take quite a while for me to watch them all. Thank you, GOD BLESS YOU🙏🏼🌹
Amazing all the things you’ve kept from years ago I am 76 however I remember my grandmother wearing a griddle every day in 1950’s She had heck of time getting it over her belly 😂 I lived with Grandparents I remember the match boxes sold few on my shop
Oh Ms. Pat! How I wish there was a picture of you in your hot pink dress and long gloves. Obviously you were a vision to behold when the rays of sun hit you because you received a compliment from a total stranger that makes you feel special after so many years. You're still lovely today.
Granny Pat, I know you looked beautiful and elegant that evening long ago. You still do tonight. Enjoyed seeing more of your collectibles. Your video was great and your stories are fun to hear. Show us more things as time allows. Hugs.
Pat, You get me so emotional. As I've said. My late mom was exactly three mos older then you. So I can relate to everything you say! Pat finding you. Is like having my mom around❤ Were you popular in hs? Did you have those snotty mean girls? Unfortunately my moms hs yrs. Were not that great. She got the business from some of those snotty cliquey ones. Maybe you could do a vid. On what those kentucky girls wete like. My mom was friends with some of the A group girls. Which I always thought was admirable. My hs yrs wete lonely and isolated. I suffeted. From what they now call social anxiety. Maybe you do do a video on your hs days.
Miss Granny Pat, thank you so much for sharing such neat possesions and such interesting stories along with them. I loved every second. I envy the way so much thought and effort was put into getting ready to go out and looking presentable. I also wish gloves fashion would come back. God bless you and take care! 🤗
Miss Pat as for your birthday story you are still a beautiful women. I enjoy the look back at vintage items. Thanks a bunch and have a wonderful day 😊😊
Such a beautiful story about your gloves and your Birthday. Remember my grandmother having Octagon soap also had a clothes brush just like yours to brush clothes with. Love you❤
Thank you for providing a most interesting time warp on a rainy afternoon! At 75 years old I am happy to be reminded of how seriously we took our grooming. Ah the good old days! 😮 It is nice to “meet” someone who appreciates our evolution in ladyhood. ;)
Thank you, l love everything you showed. I remember some of these items that my mom had. I have my hair up with Bobby pins right now. Love you take care ❤👍
This video is wonderful! I loved it. I especially loved your glasses and blouse. The gloves were awesome. I remember wearing gloves when I was a little girl, especially at Easter. Those were the days. The turquoise gloves went so well with your outfit. Granny Pat you share the greatest things with us. Thank you. Love you! Have a wonderful day. Shirley from Hanover PA
Granny Pat, I know that you looked BEAUTIFUL in that " Hot to Trot" pink dress!!!😊 you are still a beautiful lady!!! I LOVE listening to you!!! You are so pleasant!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Sweet GP!! Wow...your hat boxes are full of fascinating treasures. Each box has a fashion history lesson inside. I remember going to bed with the head full of bobby pins when I was a little girl....ouch!! But, having straight hair, I loved my Shirley Temple curls in the morning. I remember the old curling irons, and then God created permanent hair waves. Miracle...curls for months...but just stinky. You and Jan have the best collections of all kinds of interesting things. These collections and their histories would make a great book. Each chapter could be a different antique/vintage collection. Something to ponder. 😘❤🐝
Granny Pat thankyou for sharing. I remember most of things you showed. I also remember my Grandma made homemade lye soap to wash clothes in a wringer washing machine.
What beautiful stories of past. Your lovely pink dress and gloves remind me of Cinderella as she entered that beautiful ball so elegant and the loveliest lady there. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful memory from your past. Love from the Bourbon Trail here in Kentucky. Enjoying being a subscriber of such a warm charming channel.
I have a similar pin cushion, scissor holder, tape measure...was my Grandmother's, long gone now. Tried to send a photo... keep doing your video, love it. Keep well Pat. D
I have a bar of Octagon in my laundry room! 😊 And I have that very same Fuller Brush and for many years and mostly used by my husband! It hangs right by the door still .My Irish grandmother had a switch! It was made from her own hair that she saved after brushing her hair…it was gathered at the end and looked like a pony tail and was used to help make a hairdo! My aunt was in her late 80’s when I stayed with her one night and she set her white hair in Bobbi pins . In the morning she combed out a very cute hairdo! I’m going to try it some night 😅 Loved seeing the hairnets…so many ladies wore them, fine ones, heavy ones and beaded ones! Love ❤️ your collections! The compact is gorgeous!!
You look so beautiful. I think you are looking younger too. Whatever you are doing , keep it up. I enjoy watching your videos. God bless you dear Pat and your family❤️🙏
I love that you treasure your treasures! I enjoy hearing about days gone by. My mother crocheted also and was left handed! Love you and your content!!!
Another down memory lane. My mother wore a hair net to bed to keep her hair in place. I wore a pair of long gloves to my senior prom, those were the days. No one cares how they look anymore, and the majority don’t have any manners and are not teaching their children. Would like to go back in time. Thank you again for sharing your lovely items.
That was fun going back in time! I remember my mother and grandmother with some of those items. The gloves were real dressy. I remember the ponds cold cream my mother, grandmother, and aunt would put on before tv time! They were a sight to see all setting on the sofa! Looked like ghosts! I have my mother’s crochet hooks too….also a big box of the 10 cent pattern magazines. Jan has quite the collection! I love all collections. I have some Evening in Paris products, since I remember them from my childhood. We used the perfume for mosquito repellent when we slept outside with grandma! lol 😂
Love the gloves! Mom alway bought me a little pair of gloves with a pearl button I wore on Easter Sunday. I remember Mom wearing gloves for special occasions! Wish they came back in sryle! What a fun birthday evening you had! I can just see you in your pink dress & gloves! I bet you were "HOT" What a beautiful compliment you received... one so special it lasrs a life time! I'm also divorced so i understand how special that evening was ❤❤❤ thanks so much for sharing your special birthday with us! Love ya 😘
Loved this too! I think I need to watch again 😊. I had to watch in parts today and really want to review from beginning to end. That gentleman commenting on your sparkle must have been the one that got away. I think I was born in the wrong century. Love the gloves, talks about the corset and dresses of those days…..and hats I sure love hats. These days I only get away with my hats during Easter. Honestly I know of the snoods from old movies and aren’t they so much prettier than the hairnets worn today?! Thanks again Granny Pat!
Wow look at you today in your nice green top and green eyeglasses sparkling in the light Nicely a coordinated very nice 💖….thank you for the last two days things from the old days Perfume … perfume bottles…lipsticks face powders and cases..Different types of hair pins…Your little sowing ornaments…. Different kinds of gloves…and hair nets …and more your lovely daughter thank you enjoyed ✨🌟💖👍😊
Oh Pat! That dress you described! And you wore those long gloves with the buttons on them! So beautiful! I’m so excited that you still have them. Thank you for sharing. I remember wearing gloves at Easter. I just felt so pretty with those gloves on. Always love everything you do, tell, and show. ❤❤❤
I loved the class you taught tonight ❤ I learn so much and sometimes you stir a memory I have for an item you show or mention. I don't remember seeing Octagon soap bar but I used to buy Octagon dish soap in a large white bottle with pink lettering I think. Haven't thought about that in years... Thank you so much for sharing❤
My grandmother had those hairpins, hairnets, and several of the other things you showed and mentioned. I loved seeing all her pretty things and she was happy to let me look at them. There were times she even let me brush her hair! She lived to be one hundred and two years of age! My mother told me she had never been allowed to comb and brush grandma’s hair. We thought it was because grandma was too busy for that when her girls were young. She only had three daughters but there were six boys, one before the three girls, and five of those little boys were all born after my mother, who was the youngest of the three girls. I really enjoyed your video and you can guess that by the things your story brought to my memory!
Pat, my wife and I enjoyed part 1 and we watched part 2. Even a gentleman such as I, enjoyed your trip down memory lane. I remember my mother using the old bobby pins and my grandmother wearing her invisible hair net. You're a classy lady, Granny Pat. Tonight's outfit and accessories are top notch. I went to the Spindletop Hall web site to snoop around a little. Wow, no doubt you made a lovely appearance there. And on your Birthday no less! It's a wonderful thing to have friends that think about us. And to take action to help our lives be just a little better is the icing on the cake. From Sara and I here in Evansville... Happy Belated Birthday! 🎂It sounds like it was quite a memorable experience.
Absolutely beautiful. I'm 62, and I would love to have those in style again. I absolutely LOVE watching you Granny Pat. You are an amazing lady. You don't remind me of my grandma, but you absolutely remind me of my mommy. Your looks, actions and beauty. I love watching your videos. I am sick alot and don't sleep well so I lay in bed at night and watch your videos. Ms Pat, do you have a P.O. box to receive cards and gifts? If not I totally understand. Keep up the amazing stories, cooking and wonderful home recipes. Thank you Ms Pat God bless ❤
The Bath Salts Bottle looks like Friendship's Garden by Shulton...My Gramma gave me the perfume when I was a little girl. I wish I could smell that fragrance again. I loved it.
You have so many wonderful treasure granny Pat. I remember a lot of them, seeing my mother and my grandma use many of the things that you showed. I remember you think a fountain pen and absolutely loved it. Do you have any of the old cigarette cases and table lighters? I thought they were beautiful and remember my mother having them but you can’t find them anymore. She had a beautiful beaded cigarette holder, you took the cigarettes out of the package and you could like 10 on each side of the holder and close the case, it was so much more elegant than just pulling out a pack of cigarettes. You were bringing back so many memories to me and I appreciate it so much. Much love to you, Sheila.
Gosh I’m so grateful for you and these videos Granny Pat 😭 I’ve been missing my Mamaw a lot lately and listening to your stories and voice really helps. Thank you so much ❤
You look lovely in green Granny Pat. That earring is so pretty. You have sparked my interest in collecting vintage items. For now I am starting to collect old porcelain dolls but someday I hope to have many beautiful collection like you do. That compact powder is casing is so pretty ❤
I remember when girls got manicure sets for Christmas in the fifties and sixties. When i was six i got a fur muff and matching ear muffs... boy, did i think i was hot stuff. I also got a bride doll; she was a vision to behold.I had her for years until my youngest sister was born. She just had to have her. It was my pleasure to gift it to her. She soon met her demise by being stripped of her fine lace wedding gown. She endured a hair cut and ballpoint pen eyebrows. The lesson in this is, not everyone loves things the way you do.
How fun, seeing all the vintage things. Makes me think of my mom & aunts. I remember seeing some of these things that they used when I was a little girl. I remember mom using “MUM” deodorant, but not “VETO”. Thanks for sharing.❤️
I forgot to tell you......OH THOSE BOBBY PINS! Mom used to wrap my hair a little section at a time...twist around her finger & pin it with bobby pins. After she got it all done she'd wrap and tie a scarf around my head as not to disturb the pins & off to bed I went! I remember those bobby pins sticking my scalp all night! OUCH!!! In the morning after removing those pins....Voila!!!...instant Shirley Temple curls! 😂 I have that exact same lint brush of my mom's! People now days use those lint rollers with the tape! The younger generation probably don't even know what a real lint brush is!😂 I have my grandparents old fountain pens!
Pat you are so beautiful! You remind me so much of my grandmother and I’ve enjoyed every single bit of this. I wish I had half of what you have but no one ever passed it on to me. When my grandmother passed away they had a big sale and sold everything. Kind of makes me sick. Big hug
Thanks for the great video, Granny Pat! I’ve always thought long gloves are the height of elegance. Pearls, too. Love hearing your memories. Have a great day! 💛
What a lovely birthday memory to treasure! I’m sure you were beautiful! I enjoyed seeing all these vintage things. My favorites were the compact, the purse, gloves, and little sewing girl. The manicure set was lovely too. I grew up with Bobby pins myself. I cant imagine having to wear a corset every day !
oh I remember wearing long white gloves to my boyfriend at the time to his senior dance. So long ago. You just amaze me with your collections. Goodnight Granny Pat.😴
I remember Mama always wore white gloves when she dressed up which she did often.I wore little white gloves and a hat and had a little purse at Easter as a child.People wor hats men wore fidoras and Mama always wore a hat in the 50s
You made me cry again.
I think Jan has one of the Bette Davis cigarette holders. I have a table lighter.
Love all the things you showed I

Gosh I’m so grateful for you and these videos Granny Pat 😭 I’ve been missing my Mamaw a lot lately and listening to your stories and voice really helps. Thank you so much ❤
I enjoyed that, especially the part about the corset, that's very interesting to me. Thanks.
Wow, Granny Pat I remember Octagon soap. It sells for almost $20 dollars a bar on eBay. My Mom uses Zote now.
🤗
LOVELY!!!! Kimberly
You look lovely in green Granny Pat. That earring is so pretty. You have sparked my interest in collecting vintage items. For now I am starting to collect old porcelain dolls but someday I hope to have many beautiful collection like you do. That compact powder is casing is so pretty ❤
new to your channel. oooh my goodnesssss! those porcelain sewing dolls are tooooo cute. i wish i had my grandmas little ditties ❤❤❤❤
Love you granny pat.
I love that color ,blouse on you very pretty 😊
I remember when girls got manicure sets for Christmas in the fifties and sixties. When i was six i got a fur muff and matching ear muffs... boy, did i think i was hot stuff. I also got a bride doll; she was a vision to behold.I had her for years until my youngest sister was born. She just had to have her. It was my pleasure to gift it to her. She soon met her demise by being stripped of her fine lace wedding gown. She endured a hair cut and ballpoint pen eyebrows. The lesson in this is, not everyone loves things the way you do.
No wonder I love listening to you! I always notice people that write left handed. They tried to make me change in 3rd grade.
Me too. When my mom found out, it stopped. At 83, I’m all that’s left of our family.😢
Thank you for another interesting show!
I absolutely love the set at 26:52 …so pretty
I am 66 yrs old and have never seen any of what you shared with us,wow, that beautiful compact, this was such fun, thank you.
You have a wonderful collection of items! Thank you again for sharing! 🙏❤️
So nice you shared your pretty glove collection Granny Pat! I always wondered if they made a gal thats wearing them hot? I know I would be 😂❤❤
How fun, seeing all the vintage things.
I really enjoyed this video Granny Pat! Always nice to see you🥰
What a lovely birthday memory to treasure!
The gloves are beautiful and in perfect condition ❤️
