In 2016, four-time CrossFit Games veteran Katrin Tanja Davidsdottir did what only two other athletes have done in the history of the CrossFit Games: win the CrossFit Games twice (Annie Thorisdottir won the Games in 2011 and 2012, and Rich Froning held the men’s title from 2011-2014). A native of Reykjavik, Iceland, the former gymnast and track athlete took 30th in her first Games appearance in 2012 after less than a year of CrossFit, improving to 24th in 2013. Famous for recouping her mental strength after a devastating event at the 2014 Europe Regional sidelined her from the Games that year, she returned in 2015 with an improved focus and took the title of Fittest Woman on Earth. Now living in Natick, Massachusetts, she proved it was no fluke with a repeat victory in 2016.

@@jaysilvia1177 Not sure about that. I looked at the stats for top athletes...and the difference is about 10% (depending on sports) between top men and top women. Thousands of years of shaping us has created the physical difference.

@@johreh If you took the higher level female athletes and compare their physical strength to average men and maybe even some of the lower level male athletes, you'll find that the women can indeed train themselves to be just as strong.

Look on youtube. Find the exercises. Recreate the instruments used for the exercises around you. No pullup bar? Find an I-beam in a basement or a sturdy tree branch. No weights? Bricks can be found anywhere in the world. Fasten some together in bags if you have to. You can learn the moves from youtube and practice them on your own for pretty much free.

Suvarna Sawant check if there are Crossfit boxes around you on Crossfit.com page. Go there, ask if you can do some cleaning work for a monthly subscription. Or just go there and watch, take notes and learn. The web is also full of free training programs like Comptrain. Buy used equipment and build a home gym. Commit, train hard but with a brain, eat clean and sleep a lot, do lots of mobility. Crossfit is born in a garage with basically a barbell and a pull up bar. You can do it if you really want it.

I've always got the same on mind whenever I see her on the media: an undoubtedly great athlete and a beautiful woman but arrogant. She seems to look down at everyone. And it's been my impression since the very first moment I saw a video of her, in the times when I had no idea what Crossfit was.
