this video feature the late singer from "Entombed" Lars-Göran Petrov that co sing on this one he sadly died of cancer in march this year :(. Amon Amarth are awesome and i hope you do more. Skål! from Sweden
Berserk is a worrior yes, wearing bearskin they where devoted to Odin and was regarded as his special soldiers and guards. Thats why the Swedish and Danish royal guards have bearskin caps. In battle, the berserkers were subject to fits of frenzy. They would howl like wild beasts, foam at the mouth, and gnaw the iron rim of their shields. According to belief, during these fits they were immune to steel and fire, and made great havoc in the ranks of the enemy. When the fever abated they were weak and tame I would suggest you listen to other Amon Amarth songs like: Raise your horns (official video is a must and see if you recognise anyone els in the video ) Fafners Gold (official live video) Twilight of the thunder god :)
It is, but it is a subgenre of Black Metal, and Amon Amarth said they consider their music Melodic Death Metal. Many people would think that a song talking about vikings would be Viking Metal, but it's more complicated then that.
Always love me some Amon Amarth!!! This, One Thousand Burning Arrows, and Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags are some of my favorites by them. Listened to them every times I worked out during my last deployment, and they always motivated me to go just a little bit harder/faster/longer (depending on the work-out).
New here; like you already. I more listen to 80s Metallica (geniuses) but I love this band too. I remember listening to it constantly when I was about 15. 'Versus the World' album. Cheers.
Great stuff but the live version was way more insane then their videos!, I'm guessing copyright on it?, Oh well still a cool tune either way and thanks for the request once again bud, Hope your weekend rocks! Cheers \m/

Is Viking Metal a Genre? If not, it should be! 💪
Yes it is!

melodic-death-metal works too.
but viking-metal has since been approved.
It is, but Amon Amarth is not Viking Metal. Look up Skalmold if you want to listen to Viking Metal.

Guardians of Asgaard is one of Amon Amarth's heavier songs, most of their other songs are more on the melodic side.
It's a melodic death metal band, not power metal
Cheers buddy 😁👌
Here is a 🤘👍
