I wonder if Minako has some kind of like...codependency thing to cope with abandonment issues. Like, she raises these girls up from their lowest points, but then when it seems like they become healthy she no longer feels necessary and freaks out about it. Minako hates herself, so she probably thinks the only way she can draw people to her is to be of service to them in some way.

Actually, that'd probably be a case of NPD aka narcisstic personality disorder. This actually happens sometimes in toxic relationships: one partner likes to "build up" the other partner, because they can feel important & special. Then the other partner becomes healthy & free and the first partner feels like they're not special enough anymore (because now they'd have to be on equal footing). So they try to tear them down again. In this case...literally

i enjoy how different each of minako’s friends are purely through their themes. charlotte’s being religious yet mysterious. YVT embodying an innocent and bright theme. now we have Gyaruko’s theme which is funky with a mixture of badass-ery. I just really enjoy it.

A lot of people are saying that Gyakuro was apart of the yakuza, but i think 'Bosozoku' (暴走族) is the right word to describe Gyakuro. Basically Bosozoku is a japanese subculture that revolves around motorcycles, speed, cars, etc. In other words, motor gangs.

아 헐 그렇구나… 핑크비치클럽의 모든 멤버들이 미나코를 사랑하네… 피의 구원 영상에서 샤를이 미나코의 동상을 눈물을 흘리며 숭배하고 성당에서 쓰러져 있는 샤를을 우비를 입은 미나코가 발견하고… 오토메로이드 영상에서는 사랑을 모르던 VYT가 자고있는 미나코를 보고 뒤돌아 활짝 웃는 미나코를 보고 눈에 생기가 돌고 사랑을 알게 되고… 이번 초전박살 의리갤에서는 갸루코의 이야기가 나오는데 역시나 친구에게 뒤통수 맞고 상처가 벌어져 쓰러져있는 갸루코에게 우산을 쓴 미나코가 손을 내미네… 개인적인 추측이지만 이미 한 번 친구에게 배신당한 갸루코라 자기를 구해준 미나코에게 더 애착이 가지 않았을까 싶다 그래서 갸루톡 영상에서 미나코의 “이제부터는 적당히 놀지 않을래?” 하는 말에 갸루코가 불안해하고 초조해하는 모습이 보인 것 같음..
아무튼 핑크비치클럽 멤버들이 미나코를 성애적으로 사랑? 하는지는 확실치 않지만 …각각 모든 멤버들에게 미나코가 굉장히 중요한 의미인 사람임에는 틀림없는 것 같다 근데 결국에는 미나코가 모두를 죽이게 되는 것 같은데… 아마 미나코에게 특별한 애정을 갖고있는 세 사람이 미나코를 더 알고싶어서 더 가까이 다가오니까 상당히 음침하고 어두운 부분을 (아마 아무에게도 들키고 싶지 않았을 부분) 가진 미나코가 경계하다가 죽이게 된 거 아닐까 하는 생각이 들음
지금 시점으로 생각해보면 전에 갸루톡에서 “지금 관계는 너무 무거운 것 같은데… 적당히 놀지 않을래?” 하는 미나코의 말도 더 다가오지 말아라 이런 경계와 경고의 말처럼 들리는… 세 사람이 그걸 지키지않고 자꾸 파헤치려 드니까 점점 반응이 싸늘해졌던거 아닐까

핑크 빗치클럽 테마곡 영상의 가사는 대부분 미나코가 하는 말이에요. 미나코가 인사를 하며 시작하기도 하고.. 때문에 가사에 미나코의 감정이 드러나있는걸 볼 수 있습니다.
“잘못된 비밀의 마음을 그 아이가 알게되면 어떡하지? 부탁이야 내 진짜 마음을 당신에게만큼은 보여줄 수 없어” 이 부분을 보면 미나코가 확실히 친구들에게 보여주고 싶지 않은 어두운 부분을 가지고 있다는 것을 알 수 있을 것 같아요. 또 “당신과 만난 순간 나는 변할 수 있어” 라는 부분을 보면 과거 미나코는 어떤 사정인지는 몰라도 굉장히 어두운(어두움을 넘어선..음침의끝판왕) 아이였는데 친구들을 만나면서 밝고 개성있게 변할 수 있어 그걸 좋아했던 것 같네요. 미나코는 확실히 자신의 과거나 자신을 혐오하는 경향이 있는 것 같아요. 그래서 개성있는 친구들의 모습을 따라하려한건가…? 싶기도 하네요
아무튼 이런 미나코가 어려운 상황에서 손을 내밀어주어 친구가 된 나머지 멤버들은 미나코에게 굉장한 애정과 집착을 갖게 됐다고 봅니다. 확실하지는 않지만 VYT는 사랑, 샬럿은 미나코를 거의 신격화 하면서 숭배하는 것 같고요. 왜냐하면 샬럿의 영상을 보면 샬럿은 신으로부터 날개를 찢고 도망친 타락한 천사? 라고 할 수 있으니까요. 신으로부터 도망치고 그 끝에 미나코를 만나 자신의 신으로 삼고 무척 좋아하는걸로 보입니다… 갸루코도 마찬가지로 친구에게 배신당한 때에 미나코를 만났기 때문에 유독 특별하게 여기고 미나코와의 관계에 집착하는 것 같아요.
그리고 이 세 친구들은 확실히 미나코에 대해서 알고싶어해요.
VYT의 오토메로이드 영상 가사 - “알고싶어 느끼고싶어 반짝거리는 그 사람의 눈동자” “당신의 약함에 닿고싶어 하나부터 열까지 알려줬으면 좋겠어 포기하지않아…”
VYT가 얘기하는 그 사람은 미나코로 보이죠. 영상에서도 미나코가 많이 나오고요.
초전박살 의리갤 가사- “아는 것이 무서워 도망쳤어”
이건 추측일 뿐이지만 제 생각에 이건 갸루코가 전 친구들과 갈등이 일어난 이유라고 생각해요. 이 가사가 나오는 장면을 보면 갸루코의 전 친구 표정이 떨떠름합니다. 가사와 조합해 생각해본다면 갸루코는 예전 친구들을 진심으로 알려하지않았고 그게 불만이었던 친구들이 배신을 때린 것 같아요. 그리고 그게 상처이자 어쩌면 트라우마로 남은 갸루코는 친구를 제대로 마주하려 하지 않은 것에 대한 후회가 있었을 것이고요. 그래서 그 이후에 생긴, 더욱이나 소중한 미나코는 제대로 더 알려하고 마주하려 하지 않았을까 싶어요.
그러니까 미나코는 새 친구들을 만나 예전의 혐오스러운 자신을 벗어던질 수 있었던게 좋았던건데, 미나코가 좋아지는 친구들은 미나코의 “진짜 모습”을 알고싶어한거죠.. 앞서 가사로 설명했다시피 미나코는 자신의 진짜 마음을 친구들에게 보여주고 싶지 않아하는데요. 그런 일이 계속 반복되니까 미나코는 점점 싸늘하게 친구들을 대하게 되고 결국에는 모두를 죽이는 결말에 이른걸지도 모르겠습니다.. 어쩌면 그렇게 미나코를 알고싶어하던 친구들이 우연히 미나코의 진짜모습을 알게되어 패닉과 분노에 빠진 미나코가 죽인걸지도요.
왜냐면.. “소녀의 비밀은 영원한 비밀이야” 라는 가사가.. 미나코의 비밀을 의미하는거면 소녀의 비밀은 영원한 비밀이어야하기 때문에 비밀을 알아버린 친구들을 죽인 것 같기도 해요… 이미 들켜버렸다면… 영원한 비밀로 만들기 위해서는 죽이는 수밖에 없으니까요ㅜ

I love how each girl's wants are communicated so well using the artstyle. VYT's style is soft with pastel colours- trying to fit her idea of what a 'normal girl' looks like, whereas Gyaruko's is sharp with harsh, saturated colours to seem more standoffish and brave and try to hide her vulnerability. Vivinos' channel is peak storytelling!
Yeah and charlotte just fits her dark style

Theory!
I'm pretty sure the entire theme of this video is about betrayal and trust, in the first part we see Gyaruko attemtping to pet the cat, but as we can see the cat gets aggressive and tries to bite her. Then, we get to the part where Gyaruko gets in a fight and has her eye beaten up, this is when the cat appears suddenly and is now no longer aggressive, even rubbing against her, then her group of friends come in and give her a can of coke. This is important, because later on in the video when Gyaruko is beating up the white jacket gang, one of her friends pull up a knife and stab her, and left her there, ultimately betraying her. In my opinion when they gave the can of coke to Gyaruko, it was them trying to gain Gyarukos trust so she doesnt expect them to betray her, and the cat appearing there suddenly being friendly is a symbolism of Gyaruko trusting her friends, just like how the cat trusted Gyaruko. But of course, she got betrayed, she stood up, thought about them, and went to her "friends" to get her revenge. She beats them up, and then she passes out, now this is where Minako appears now, and funnily just like in the beginning of the video, Gyaruko gets aggressive and attempts to bite her hand, just like how the cat in the beginning didnt trust Gyaruko and attempted to bit her hand.
Now that this is my theory, this raises questions, So would this mean the cat is a symbolism of Gyaruko? Does this mean the cat didnt trust Gyaruko at first but then eventually warmed up, does this mean Gyaruko does the same thing to Minako? We know Gyaruko and Minako are best friends, maybe even closer than that, and Minako here unlike the other two videos does not seem like a bad person at all, in VYT-24's video she seems trusting and friendly at first but then towards the end of the video she unplugs her, then in Charlottes video its basically Charlotte praising Minako, seeing her as a God, but in this video, Minakos action is different from the other two, she seems more like a normal person here instead of a replacement of God or a person who unplugs a robot, so does this mean Minako and Gyarukos relationship are different than the other two girls? Possibly. Thats all for my theory
Ohhh I just realized, just like gyarukos friends here who stabbed her, this might foreshadow how Minako killed Gyaruko, but unlike them Minako was actually successful :(

이전까진 미나코가 갸루코의 스타일을 따라했다는 해석이 많았는데 이영상 보니까 오히려 반대일지도? 갸루코는 원래 폭주족 양키 였는데 미나코에게 도움받고 친해지게 되면서 오히려 갸루코가 미나코 영향을 받아서 변한거 같다. 미나코와 갸루코 사이가 틀어진건 미나코는 갸루코가 자신을 따라하는게 싫었거나 처음엔 어설프게 갸루 패션을 흉내내던 갸루코가 어느순간 자기보다 스타일이 더 좋아져서 질투 났다던가?

I’ve heard a theory that she has had no personality and gained friends just to steal theirs, and so she can have a personality ‘of her own’. I think it would explain why she doesn’t treat them as well
My personal theory is that the moment her friends started to rely on her, she saw them as a burden, backed up by how Minako was the one that told Gyaruko she wanted to be alone and that their relationship was getting too much. Everyone loves her, but becoming more for them? Too much
so basically the reason minakos friends became her friends in the first place was because she was there for them in a moment of weakness, maybe that's why they were all so blindsided by what she did to them.

처음에 갸루코일행중에 노란머리의 뭔가 석연찮은 표정이 왜 그런가 했는데 상대편 일진들이랑 싸우기로 하다가 중간에 칼로 찌를생각이 이미있었던거네... 쓰러진뒤에 웃는 사람이 3명으로 나온걸 봐서 이미 상대일진들이랑도 합의된 내용같음.. 다시 찾아가서 복수하는 장면이 날 칼로 찌른 친구를 찾아가서 복수하는 심각한 장면인데 그 부분을 오히려 다른 장면들보다 더 귀엽고 만화스럽게 그림으로써 괴리감이 기괴하게 받아들여진거같음

I'll put this here since the english subs aren't available yet. At 0:53 there are the lines '걷히지 않는 안개 속이어도 둘이서 앞으로 나아갈 길을 정할수있어' which roughly translated to 'despite us being in fog that can't be lifted the two of us can choose the path we will go down'
This line is very similar to the lines in pink b*tch club, during minako's depressed scene, where it says '걷히지 않는 안개 속에서 너와 만난 순간 나 변할수있어' which was translated as 'the moment i meet you in the fog that can't be lifted i can change'
It's notable that the beginning part of the two lines in korean are nearly identical, except the fact that pink b*tch club implies a kind of causality to minako's 'change' while this video whatever action taken was in spite of the never ending fog.
Both lines also end (in korean) with '-할수있어,' which in the context implies the speaker being able to do something: in pink b*tch club minako being enabled by another person to change, and this video gyaruko(i guess) being able to choose what she wants to do together with another person. In both cases, a transition was made because of another person in minako/gyaruko's life.
Honestly not sure what exactly this means big picture, just wanted to point out some patterns lol

Something really interesting I noticed:
Minako really loves her dog, and Gyaruko is shown here with a cat. What's the difference between these animals? Dogs are obedient, they depend on you for survival, and in return grant an unconditional love. But cats? Cats are more willful and independent. They enjoy other people's company, but they aren't as obedient as a dog, and they can (mostly) survive on their own. This reflects the key attributes of the two girls. Minako wants to "own" a dog-type friend, like how she "owns" her own dog. She wants someone who will depend on her for survival, which is why she appears to her friends in their times of distress, when they feel abandoned. But Gyaruko isn't like a dog, she's like a cat - willful and confident. That's probably why Minako ends up killing her, because she knows Gyaruko is capable of leaving her, and knowing that is too much for her. It's the same reason she shuts VYT down when she starts gaining a social media presence, and presumably why she'll end up killing Charlotte.
여기 영상에서 세 명의 캐릭터가 다른 이에게 우산을 넘기는데, 이게 어쩌면 저마다의 애정 표현방식이 아닐까 생각했다... 처음에 갸루코가 고양이에게 우산을 건넬 때, 완전히 고양이에게 우산을 맡기는 걸 보면 갸루코는 타인에게 애정을 줄 때 자신의 모든 걸 곧바로 보이고 타인을 완전히 신뢰하는 것 같다. 반면에 갸루코 친구는 갸루코에게 우산을 씌워주지만 손잡이는 자신이 들고 있는데, 이건 애정을 주고 선의를 베풀지만, 자신의 의지에 따라 언제든 애정을 주고 뺏을 수 있게 주체를 자신에게 두고 언제든 배신하거나 애정을 주는 걸 관둘 수 있는 걸 표현한 것 같다. 그리고 미나코... 다른 두 사람은 그래도 타인에게 우산을 씌워주지만, 미나코는 자신에게 완전히 우산을 기울인 상태로 손만을 갸루코에게 뻗고 있는데, 이 손을 뻗는 것조차도 그저 맥없이 한 손만 슬쩍 가져다주는 모양새라, 제대로 된 도움을 주려고 하는 것 같지가 않다. 이걸 보면 미나코는 누구에게도 자신의 애정이나 믿음을 주지 않고, 누구도 구해주거나 선의도 베풀고 싶지 않아하지만 그럼에도 손을 뻗어서, 누군가에게 신임을 얻지만 그 누구에게도 자신의 속내는 보이지 않고 한 치의 진실된 애정도 주지 않는 인물인 것 같다.
i love the parallel between the beginning and at the end. RIP hands. it's the same pattern it's always the gals meeting minako at their lowest or in the rut, or any type of longing desire. maybe the unfortunate events all lead to everyone getting better and minako's feeling of being left behind(trailing back to the theme song). maybe minako found salvation from her troubles through friendship and thought their continuation of suffering was the only way to keep them close.

Out of all the "backstory" videos about the girls, this one seems the most grounded in the "real world". Charlotte's backstory seems like a dark fantasy story with nuggets of truth mixed in (probably had a sheltered life with her dad and cut him out her life with Minako's help) and VYT's is less narrative and more thematic in her relationship with Minako and the other girls. This feels like something that actually happened to Gyaruko. Anyway, that aside Gyaruko is now my absolute fav!
Minor detail I have seen. Many already have their theory abt the cat kind of representing Gyaruko
So When Gyaruko first encounters the cat, she kinda threw the umbrella over it to protect it from the rain, while she stood in the rain. Minako, however held the umbrella only above herself, when she met Gyaruko in the end and my personal interpretation of this is that Minako, as nice as it is that she was there for her, she did it for her personal gain while Gyaruko helped the cat out of pity for the cat.
And if the cat represents Gyaruko, another detail is that the umbrella is just thrown like that. That doesn't give proper protection and it could be blown away by the wind any time. Bc it would have been safer if she held the umbrella but she was too busy trying to help the cat and getting bitten.
Edit: more umbrella Details. While Gyaruko sat under a tree, her friends began holding an umbrella above her. As she is already sitting under a tree maybe she isn't rly getting wet in the rain in the first place so an umbrella is kind of useless.

idk if it's just me, but the fact that gyaruko wasn't a gyaru from the start is kind of interesting. i mean, we see minako, already dressed like in the others pink b*tch club videos, rescuing gyaruko while she's a full on delinquent, so the theory that minako is trying to steal gyaruko's style/personality is kind of thrown out the window. was gyaruko the one who was trying to mimic minako the entire time? maybe that's the case with all the other girls too, so minako just got pissed and ended them all? are these backstories even told from each of the girl's perspective or is minako mastermind-ing her way into this? really interesting to think about.

Maybe you are into something here. It could be that it was the other way around. Like, Minako was the main gyaru of the gang but the others just turned into ones because they kind of followed Minako's path, they all kind of admired her, since she was the one who "saved" them from their personal issues. And when the others started having more self-steem, Minako saw that as they were flying away from her nest and instead of being happy for their improvement, well, she just got extremely jealous due to her vanity.
@@meicalcreigiau2346 i was thinking about it and was wondering what aspect the different girls might've tried to copy from minako. of course, gyaruko would be style inspiration, YVT could be trying to emulate her "emotions", more specifically the lovey-dovey ones, also symbolized through how minako decides to kill her, by pulling out her heart. charlotte is kind of a though one tho. i was thinking about the original pink b*tch club video and we see that her "symbol" is her teddy bear, so maybe she was trying to emulate minako's innocence? seeing as minako as been reaching out to everyone without question in these backstory videos and we've seen charlotte burning down a school with animals/people inside so maybe it's also a way to cope with what she's done? idk, just some thoughts

ok guys I have a theory. so in gyaruko and Charlotte's videos, we see that minako "recruits" them at their lowest points. I think she then uses this to her advantage to manipulate them. however, in VYT's video, it's different, because it seems VYT actually found *Minako* while she was asleep at school. So, Minako does not have that leverage of being a "savior" over VYT, and it may be why whenever VYT comes on screen in other videos, she glitches. Minako sees VYT as some sort of "anomaly" which she can't manipulate. VYT's robot theme may also be a reference to this, because Minako sees her as "inhuman" or "strange", and something that needs to be fixed or eliminated. In Psychodelic, VYT is actually walking away from Minako. VYT was the first to leave because she wasn't as attached to Minako anymore (and didn't rely on her as much as the rest), and the others were inspired by this and followed soon after. I think at first, VYT did rely on and was manipulated by Minako (in Otomeroid, when Minako hasn't received the update, in the frame where it shows that comic of the girls, everyone other than Minako is drawn in a typical villainous style), however, VYT slowly gains independence and this inspired the other girls to do the same. As VYT drifts away and learns how to understand emotions and herself, she hears from one of the other girls that something about Minako is off, but brushes it off because Minako is still her friend. Something that I think supports this is that in all videos where VYT has dull eyes, she acts robotic and does typical things a friend might do and seems very close to Minako. But when she gets the update in Otomeroid and her eyes shine and she figures out the things she likes and who she is; at the very end, you can see VYT enthusiastically talking to Minako about things VYT has done/seen and discovered about herself recently. She then has the plug pulled from her by Minako and shuts down, saying "she was right" at the end, referring to what one of the other girls told her.
I think "she was right" could have also been VYT refering to her past self (but that would change the theory a little bit , but I'm more than willing to explain if anyone's interested).

This song just makes what happens way more tragic. Like gyaruko was originally this badass punk girl with a heart of gold, who got backstabbed by her friends (literally) and still got back up to whoop the shit out of them. For such a badass like her to be taken down by a pathetic individual like miruko, than fed to a dog, than the dog dies, than Miruko imagines that you’re alive, only to kill your imaginary self, thats almost humiliating, like nobody deserves a death like that.

it's interesting that Gyaruko's little story video doesn't have any disturbing content in anyway besides her getting stabbed. Like, the other 2 girls had some spooky stuff going on ( burning church, ppl being shot, jumpscares and the robo girl getting literally turned off ), but Minako's possibly first victim is here- Portrayed in a badass and completely nondisturbing image.
Can’t help but realise how different Minako’s friends were before meeting her: Gyaruko was a tomboy in a gang instead of a gyaru that likes fashion, Charlotte was religious before becoming goth lolita and the robot girl (forgot her name sorry) had a lot of emotions instead of being empty

one thing I don't understand is how gyaruko's whole aesthetic and personality changed this drastically. she went from a tough, masculine biker gang leader to a fashion loving flashy girly girl. that's a pretty drastic change over there!! and if that whole song is part of her past, I think she would have been able to handle minako on her own pretty well unless both of them have the same fighting skills or she was so comfortable around mina that she managed to let her guard down enough for it to happen, I mean, my girl was able to beat up two kids while bleeding out from an untreated wound!! that's no small feat and definitely not something you'd forget so easily!
so my theory is either she was caught off guard by her friend (the cat in the beginning may sorta symbolize that) or minako is a lot stronger than she looks.
I think Minako might have shot her, that would explain her being able to kill her.
I feel like the coke was poisoned that her friends gave her making her more vulnerable
Gyaru could overpower Minako physically but emotionally/mentally Minako had the upper hand and advantage (suddenly turning against her)

I like the detail where in the beginning - gyaruko threw the umbrella at the cat to avoid from it getting wet, and tried approaching the cat, but got bitten instead, but if we see minako in the last scene, she does not throw out the umbrella at gyaruko and instead only tried approaching her using her hand.
Ok but my question is how did Gyaruko change from that to someone who's energetic and loves looking fashionable changes like that don't happen overnight. Maybe Minako had something to do with it???

All of Minako’s friends are so different when they’re with her. VYT only really changed color palette, but Charlotte wears Lolita clothes instead of religious garb and Gyaruko fully changes personality and style. Makes me wonder just how much influence she has
i personally think this isn't entirely literal, like charlotte's backstory video... i don't think gyaruko was actually a gang leader, i think it's more a metaphor for her being a popular, powerful figure in her school/social circles. her friend didn't literally try to kill her, she "backstabbed" her socially, leading to gyaruko losing her popularity and friends. and just like charlotte, when she was at her lowest point, alone and hurt, minako found her....
i think minako has a weird psychological form of munchausens by proxy- she seeks out girls who are going through a difficult/traumatic experience, and inserts herself as a kind, selfless figure to help them, making sure that they depend on her so they can't leave her. gyaruko lost her friends/social status, charlotte was being abused by her father, and i personally see VYT as a very socially awkward (possibly autistic) girl who imagines herself as a robot to cope with her inability to understand/connect with other people. however, once the girls begin healing from their trauma and don't need her help anymore, minako starts to panic about them leaving her... and we all know what happens when minako feels abandoned 😬😬😬

I think it's nice that Gyaruko's a bit of a tomboy. I mean, she doesn't dress that tomboy-ish, especially in the other videos she's shown in, but you can tell because of her badass personality. Anyways, I think it's cool that Vivinos decided to make Gyaruko a tomboy, because you don't really see that much tomboy characters in animations/shows/movies/comics, so it's nice to have a person to relate to for a change.

To add on the popular theory that Minako's friends are not real and all in her head I was wondering what if she's taking her friends out of her favorite mediums! Charlotte from her favorite show/movie, VYT from her favorite video game (likely a dating sim), and Gyaruko from a comic/manga? Charlotte's video is very reminiscent of an anime opening/ending, VYT's style is very pixalated, and Gyaruko's is in panels like a manga! I just thought that would be interesting to think about :)
