OMG i'm glad you mentioned the sizing because my old 90s high waisted jeans are all 24R (I'm also 5'2 with a 24 waist) I just treated myself to some new pairs and they were HUGE & oddly strechy but the fabric content is the same. The new ones feel thinner, stretchier and run larger!
