I'm surprised that a guitarist of buckethead's caliber wouldn't improvise something different after finding out his e string was out of tune. Just try not to play on that string as much as you can. I was surprised to see him keep using that string.
I got a kill-pot (not gonna advertise - search the net), replaced my tone pot. Now I still have my tone pot, but it also works as a kill switch and it works like a charm! No holes, no mods for except changing a pot... I play with it a lot, it must have gone through tens of thousands of pressings (I have it for 2 years now) and still is as sturdy and reliable as new...
I consider Paul Gilbert and Buckethead are the best in the business.... there are hell lot of others , but these two are completly ethereal, un-immitate-able

He did mess some parts a bit, but there's something wrong with the tone of his guitar also..

Maybe not. And that shit can be hard to play. There are some parts where he plays 15 notes per SECOND. With ONE HAND.
High E string was not tuned like the rest were. It made all notes on that string a semitone off.
