Imagine if Rihanna, with seven Platinum albums, over 100 million records I think, and the most recognizable face in the U.S., decided to host America's Next Top Model. I would tune into that shit with a quickness and so would a lot of people. Rita lacks that history and that's where I blame her label. What initially put her on everyone's radar was her music. Her label should've had her releasing an album every year to continue building her up. She has the looks, style, and balls to maintain that buildup too. She has everything that's needed to compete with Rihanna. The only thing she's missing are the albums and the singles. What's crazy is that her label didn't think to take advantage of Rihanna's hiatus and push Rita up into superdom. (I want to make it clear that I love Rihanna and Rita, and I want them both to succeed in their future endeavors. I'm comparing them because they both have a similar aesthetic.) Rita has been doing really well so far, but you're right, she is underrated because she's not getting the attention she deserves in the field she started in - music.

She seems to be getting a lot of opportunities - endorsements, television, design, etc. The problem is that there isn't any momentum behind her activities. Imagine if Rihanna, with seven Platinum albums, over 100 million records I think, and the most recognizable face in the U.S., decided to host America's Next Top Model. I would tune into that shit with a quickness and so would a lot of people. Rita lacks that history and that's where I blame her label. What initially put her on everyone's radar was her music. Her label should've had her releasing an album every year to continue building her up. She has the looks, style, and balls to maintain that buildup too. She has everything that's needed to compete with Rihanna. The only thing she's missing are the albums and the singles. What's crazy is that her label didn't think to take advantage of Rihanna's hiatus and push Rita up into superdom. (I want to make it clear that I love Rihanna and Rita, and I want them both to succeed in their future endeavors. I'm comparing them because they both have a similar aesthetic.)
Rita has been doing really well so far, but you're right, she is underrated because she's not getting the attention she deserves in the field she started in - music.

I agree in most part but don't forget than Rihanna did hold a show in the past too. The huge difference is that she didn't became successful thanks to Roc Nation even if the owner was the same, she barely worked with Jay-z . In fact as soon she've changed her record label for the Roc Nation even her got some bad management issues.

A beginner artist get so many opportunities than when they gets older. And if your record labels doesn't help you in that somehow you started to do other things outside music to get paid.
Let's be clear if you capable to be different from the crow like Adele or Amy Winehouse than your music/voice speaks for themself. I've mentioned 2 of the most female british singers of our generation which they've become international artists.
