I remember trying to put my friends on Superheaven way back in 2016 and everyone brushed them off. Now everyone seems to like them and I couldn’t be happier for them. Grunge revival when
This is the saddest song in disguise. As a social worker who sees kids in adverse living conditions, kids who are removed from their homes and placed in mental hospitals, this hits home.
This reminds me of someone i met as a early teen, lets call her B. She was sent to a mental facility during middle school for multiple attempts, and finally made it back to high school. Everyone elese was scared of her except a friend I'll call M. He treated her like an actual person, but sadly it was only enough to delay her mental break. She tried to kill her family in a fire cause they never could understand what she was trying to tell them, and was now sent back another ward for presumably life by the state. This song just reminded me to treat people tenderly and kindly, as you never know if you're the only one keeping something horrible at bay.
Fell asleep listening to music on Spotify and had the craziest nightmare . heard this song in it. I had never heard it before. I woke up and it was still playing, craziest shit ever. horrifying feeling shit fucked me up. I keep coming back to it, tho.
What didn't help Aileen's case was she was already a menace to society. Still doesn't strip her of her humanity despite being found guilty and sentenced to death for the self defense murders she committed
Talk to me, your closest thing to a friend Honesty went overlooked in the end I understand the situation you're in Oh, poor Aileen, you weren't treated like a human They took your veins, don't be afraid In the woods, you're sleeping out in the cold Life's no good. They took you out of your home I understand the situation you're in Oh, poor Aileen, you weren't treated like a human They took your veins, don't be afraid Strapped to a bed Everyone says that you're a monster in the way Needle goes in, how did you live? You didn't get a chance Oh, poor Aileen, you weren't treated like a human They took your veins, don't be afraid

In case nobody gets the song, they're talking about a women who killed 7 men while she was prostituting, Aileen wuornos,I would have to say not poor but was a monster. One of the men she killed had grandchildren, but she did have a hard life, but it's still hard to feel sorry for her. Her murders were no excuse for that! But either way rip Aileen, I'm homeless but you don't see me going around robbing and killing people!
She was abused, raped, and treated like garbage her entire life starting in her early childhood. Hence the lyrics “you weren’t treated like a human”. Even her own father was convicted of raping a 7 year old girl. She never had a chance at a normal life.
good song but lyrics don't make sense. like she killed 7 people and they say she didn't get a chance? Her chance was being alive and not killing people.
Edit: i googled it, didnt realize it was based off real life events. Now i know where you got the killing 7 people part. Where did you get the killing 7 people part?
She was raped and abused by countless people throughout her life.... she never had a chance to be normal, she never experienced safety or security even once. Do you not get that?
@@jessiecrishaun4416 not an excuse to become a serial killer. i personally think prostitution is a terrible thing. why are you standing up for this serial killer
I hope these recent uploads mean a revival of Superheaven
Just found these guys and have had them on repeat for a solid week 🤘

Some of the best sounding guitars i've heard in recent music, they're just so soothing
I’m 37, my 17 y/o son enlightened me. Dad taught him well. He reciprocated.
I would be one proud dad!
I feel goosebumps just from the intro bring me back memories of the 2000 such great times.
It’s crazy this is from 2015 it sounds 2000 doesn’t it
@@diamonddoggo1999 They really capture that 2000s tone.. the guitar fills and riffs always reminded me a lot of something like seether or andrew wk.

Not only that, this song is about Aileen Wuornos. She was a serial killer but when you look at her background, this song gets much more tragic.
I really appreciate this comment more than you probably understand! 🙏🏻😭
i lived in a mental health home full of orphans
