    Matt thank you so much for all your videos. I played all my life but once my son was going to start playing I wanted to be able to give him as much knowledge as I could when the time was right. And I have learned so much from you. So again, thank you!!!!

    Great breakdown. Billy Ripkin and Sean Casey demo'ed something similar on MLB today. They referred to it as "short to it, long through it" to help show how to keep bats properly through the hitter's zone.

    Not sure I agree with the swing analysis. The swing is not balanced as you are in a pedestal position with weight on back side, the body will have to compensate with a front side dominate move and you will lose the backside. Secondly, you have a lot of tension in the shoulders and they are flying upward and open. Thirdly, I do agree the path is up through the ball.

    Hey Matt, love your vids! My 12yr old son keeps hitting the ball to the opposite field but isn’t driving it. I think he’s slicing it like you mentioned... I’m gonna try this technique with him, I’ve never heard of this before. Any other reasons he may be slicing the ball to the opposite field? Thanks for everything you do!

    Hey Matt, I coach club level softball and am having an issue with one of our girl's swings. She tends to lean back after she makes contact to seemingly try to "lift" the ball. I was wondering if you had any specific drills or videos you have created geared toward this type of problem

    • @rhino__7974
      @rhino__7974 4 года назад

      If she steps out she’s going to most likely arch her back and “lift” the ball. If she dosent step out and steps forward try hanging something from her neck and have her try and keep the item that is hanging from her neck level.

      Watch her back foot. Is she pivoting on her toe or transferring all the weight (energy) to her front side? A simple pivot on the ball of her foot means she’s holding back. Have the hitter get on plane early and end up with the back foot vertical at extension. Tip toe to the ground, heel to the sky.

    Bro u need more action and in motion about what ur speaking . . I have watched videos of urs and I love ur videos . . But it will be strictly the same video or same person to player drill over a 5-10 min span . . Ur loosing fans bro . . Show us more action and spice up ur vids . . I literally watched lindor footwork the same play for 6 min and u talk about it . . Kids these days don't have that type of attention span . . Yes I do but not this new gen . . So adjust if u want to keep up the channel !

    • @mrslsiverson
      @mrslsiverson 4 года назад

      This is why u been making videos since 2010 and barely have 200,000 fans . . Where different RUclips artist been in the game 2 years passing up 1.5 millions subscribers !!!!

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  4 года назад

      I think this is a great point. One of the tough things is that RUclips isn't our business, so I don't have camera people or other people to help through drills. It's just me. I usually shoot a quick video before we begin a team practice or game. Also, some of the topics take a bit to really get into. I do want to try to work in some things that you are saying though. I don't know if a baseball instructional channel will ever have 1.5 million subscribers, but I'll try! Thanks!
