- Hi, This is part # 2 of my RV rear bumper (BOLT-ON) cargo box install. Part # 1 is installing the (BOLT-ON) Receiver, Part # 3 will be hooking up a 4 pin electric plug, Part # 4 will be installing the cargo box and part # 5 will be fabricating and installing additional brackets to keep the box solid while in transit.
So if you were contemplating to add a cargo box to the rear bumper of your RV, You might want to check out these videos just to see what is involved.
in the credits it will have a list of tools and supplies used to install THE SUPPORT BRACKETS..
This is not a "How to" video. You should always refer to the owners manual for proper instruction and safety precautions.
This video is only a demonstration on how and what I have done and how it has turned out for me.
Confused. I see holes on the opposite side. Do the bolts go all the way through with nuts on the opposite side? It didn’t appear that happened
That was my mistake. I drilled them out to big before I clearly understood the instructions. thought I would save others the headache of also making the same mistake I did. Manufacture was no help. So I hope this can be of some help.
Needed better camera shots. What prevents the bolts that do not go all the way thru the frame with a nut on the end from coming loose??
Locking flange self tapping bolts.
